Menudo is not just for hangovers!!!
Mililani Menudo is spot on! Love it with onions, cilantro and lime. That’s it. It’s such a comfort food especially since I NEVER order soup when I go out to dine other than PHO.
Mililani location rocks!
My go 2s are:
Menudo, birria with rice, steak ceasar salad (no cheese), a fried fish can’t every remember the name because I lose my mind when I eat it., wings, calamari, come on, who would think you can order squid in a Mexican joint!. and the Bunuelos after dinner chips! Ahhhh (deep breath) Awesome wholesome goodness!!!
Seriously not saying all this because the staff are my kidz! lol They all call me MOM! Clearly not biased!
When this place gets busy, it can get LOCO, but the same goes for any other business that gets crazy.
Probably the only time I can say who my fave-​O-​rite is… Francine, Chris L, Nick, Kory, wats her name… Rachel, Kerry, Amanda, little Bri, Aaron, Jessie, etc.

Place was relaxed and fun. Nick was cool and Julia was very pleasant. She had a positive attitude and was exceptional considering she was training. I’m definitely coming back here.

Not too many places on this island where you can get some good Mexican food. But this buk-​buk from Nor Cal knows la comida Mexicano real well. Heck, we were raised in the Mission!
I’ve had their Birria before and it was awesome! Some corn or flour tortillas and you’re good to go. Last visit, friend and I shared their appetizer sampler, good stuff and really worth the price.

Got a El California and wow how can you serve that with literally no flavor. Also got Nachos and cheese was to thick same no flavor for ground beef. Not a good first impression. Guess I won’t be coming back here.

My boyfriend and I go eat here anytime Aimee is working. It’s such a good feeling to walk into a restaurant and have someone genuinely happy to see you and have conversations with you. She always gets my order right and the food comes out fast! I would go anywhere Aimee works!!! She’s friendly and kind hearted and just has a positive energy about her. She has turned some of my worst days around within a matter of minutes!

The chips are stale, The food is definitely over priced and it’s not authentic. I don’t think it’s worthy of even the two stars I left. My suggestion is for them to get actual Mexicans to run the kitchen and to have fresh WARM chips for patrons to enjoy and get someone’s grand mothers recipes instead of trying to wing it.

Came here because I wanted Mexican food and I was trying to be positive about the ratings on Unilocal.Bad idea. I could have had better Mexican at Chili’s. I got carne asada tacos and it wasn’t like any carne asada I’ve had before. It was lacking that charred taste. The meat in the tacos was cold and it was like they were trying to make the tacos Mexican style but missed the mark. My husband got an overpriced, skimpy burrito. When we got there, we were one of three parties dining in and by the time we left, it had completely filled up! If this place is filling up, then there really is a shortage of good Mexican food around here.
The staff was nice and friendly.

California style nachos.
Dry toppings. Thick cheese and not tasty. Very little meat and small chunks. Not impressed. Won’t be back.
Go to Ono Loco Tacos in Honolulu — Salt Lake area. So much fresh and better food. Not much seating, but I go for the food. Not the atmosphere.
If you’re looking for margaritas or a bar with live music and group settings. Come here, just don’t plan to love the food.

Awesome experience every single time. I love the friendly welcome from everyone every time I come. Chris, Rachel, Francine, Kerry Lynn… hell, everyone here makes you feel at home. I honestly have made friends here because of this gang.

They are very accommodating to our party of 12 on that same day and they were just as part of our party. Our host Nick was just terrific. Let’s not forget to mention the lihing margaritas was good.

Got here a little after 7:30 p.m. There was a good amount of people but we wanted to try something different. I am a fan or Mexican food but my fiancé is always afraid to try new things.
We were able to get a seat pretty quick and the waitress was able to take our order just as soon as we sat down. We were a li toe skeptical because we have two kids and we weren’t too sure if it was kid friendly, but it definitely is! They enjoyed the live music and a different place to eat tonight. Their food amr out in less than 10 minutes, impressive.
We ordered our drinks and food after the kids and the alcoholic drinks are delish. The food was awesome and we were super stuffed!
Can’t wait to go back and to try other selections of food! Great choice tonight and had left overs for my family!

It’s definitely hard to find a good Mexican joint in Hawaii, and this place is worth checking out. The food is still not as good as California (but you really can’t compare), and it’s a little bit too cheesy. However, the margaritas are pretty good and I can’t complain about the service! Also, if you’re in the military, you get 20% off on Mondays! I will definitely come back for the happy hour drinks.

Every time we come here we are never disappointed. Today we ordered the chicken mole and taco combo plate with chicken. The corn tortillas are warm and hand made. I am not Hispanic, but born and raised in California; so I do know my Mexican food and the differences among dishes from various regions in Mexico. But yes, by far one of the best places so far. Second is a hole in the wall restaurant in ewa. The mililani town Christmas parade is coming up so hit up just tacos for some tamales.

Came here on a Saturday, and surprisingly didn’t wait long for a table. However the table itself was small. We were 4 siting in a table and it felt very crowded. The service was good, the server kept our glasses filled at all times. I ordered the tamale plate and it was decently good. It is not the best tamales but it took away my craving. The portions for the sides (beans and rice) were small. The best part would have to be the fried ice cream. You have to try that if you visit here.

I was excited to try this place and hoped that it would be authentic Mexican food… but it wasn’t
To begin with we were a group of four and we all got our food at different times. One of our plates had beans and they were cold. I ordered the ceviche and found it to be very sour. The fish was drenched in lemon juice and it didn’t even have cilantro. We all ordered Asada fries but we’re VERY disappointed. We could tell that the cheese on the fries wasn’t even Mexican cheese, but American cheese. The fries were also bland and needed salt. So this will be my last visit to Just Tacos.

I should have listened… 4 friends of mine gave this place 3 stars and I still decided to try it on the mere fact that I wanted fish tacos on a Sunday and all the tacos places I like are closed on Sunday. The place was cute, clean and pretty empty.
My food didn’t take long to get. The good part is their rice. It’s pretty good.
The bad part was my fish taco: 1) had way too much lettuce
2) was bland
3) there was no taste at all to the toppings. It’s missing some aioli or some sort of spice to it.
Maybe I ordered the wrong item, maybe they have decent food and fish tacos weren’t their strong point. Either way I highly doubt I’ll be back.

Have only had their complimentary chips and salsa here and their wet burrito. Both were good and tasty. The burrito is quite large. Chips are crispy and salsa has the right amount of heat.
I would come back here during slower hours as it seems like service could be hit or miss here when it’s more crowded.
Just Tacos is located in the Mililani Town Center towards the middle area. Ample free parking.

Just an update: We went again this past Saturday early evening and everyone kept to their best, as I expected (and really hoped). We sat at the bar this time and Rachel was our server with Chris as the Manager and between the two of them (and the ENTIRE front and back of the house staff) were tops!
The fish tacos were delicious and their homemade salsa topping (your choice to indulge or not) was refreshingly spicy and all-​in-​all, from the refried beans and red rice to the ice cold Dose Equis beer and iced tea… another strong showing in food and service. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was «local» with «Mililaniites» taking this to a whole new level.
You really should come to this restaurant and experience Mexican as it was meant to be. Hot & Fresh served in a clean, perfectly managed atmosphere. Come on down, you won’t have any regrets aside from having to go home when they close!
