This shop is amazing! Susie, the owner, is extremely helpful, friendly and caring! Her main designer, Bobbi and 2 coworkers Julia and lauren, will be sure to help you find the perfect gift for yourself or a friend! They carry plants varying from bromeliads to all different types of orchids, succulents, tillandsias (air plants) and other types of foliage! Green door design is best known for their orchid/​succulent arrangements which are extremely well made and beautifully designed. Just being in the shop is wonderful, so much to look at and admire. They work with whatever budget you may have so stop by whenever you get a chance!

When I needed just the right gift to give a friend who hosted our book club for a weekend up in Tahoe, I knew that I wanted to get her a succulent bowl from Green Door. Susie helped me choose the container (which was perfect) and then together with my son we pulled together the plants. She arranged and planted them while I watched and we topped it off with a few pieces of bright moss.
Then I found some containers for me to use with the succulents that I have at home to plant. I have to say, it was so much fun and the environment so peaceful that I wish I could hang out there.
I dropped off the bowl this afternoon and already got a text from my friend expressing the surprise and her thanks. It was one of the most enjoyable gift-​buying experiences I’ve ever had.

I am now worshiping at the Church of the Orchid. Susie, the owner of Green Door Design and an orchid savant, has converted me from a weekly fresh flower buyer to a quarterly orchid buyer. Her selection is excellent, and she will tell you all you need to know about taking care of the little beauties, and give you great ideas for arrangements, etc. Nice selection of pots and accessories. She also does large scale installations, out of my league, but quite dramatic and beautiful. Assistant Kathleen is also great.

Susie helped me select a prayer plant for my new apartment with indirect, but fairly bright natural lighting. The plant loves it here… it’s double in size & is currenly is blooming!
I’ve bought a few other select plants for myself as well as gifts at Green Door. All have been picture perfect & well received.
Kelly her assistant has been extremely helpful when I’ve needed it. Very informative with plant knowledge.

This place is a hidden gem!
The owner Suzie knows everything you could possibly want to know about orchids. I had a ton of questions about the care and handling of orchids and she knew all of the answers.
When you pull into the lot with the IGA go to the right and you’ll see the shop. She also works with offices making sure they have plants including orchids in bloom.
