Pizza 238

Standard suburbs pizza, tastes good, is clean, is friendly, food is perfect if you need delivery. Not amazing, not city pizza, but easy and nearby.

Alright pizza. Somehow every delivery order arrives cold despite the fact that I don’t live far away at all.

Ordered twice here for delivery. Incapable of delivering both times. Charged both times for nothing. Spoke with manager/​owner. Don’t expect any 21^st century customer service. A racket. Buyer beware. When I asked for just hot pizzas he said «I’m not going to redo an $ 85 order. You can complain to seemless because they can pay me.»

Stopped off here on our bike ride along the westchester county bike trail. They had a terrance with tables and chairs. We ordered the tropical salad. Pineapple from a can, otherwise it was a good salad. Overall good experience for a quick stop.

Taking away a star for a number of reasons. One, they overcooked my slices. Two, it seems they have trouble keeping up with cleaning the tables and taking care of the customers. But the pizza was pretty good and a specialty slice I had was top notch, except for the burnt crust.
With a little help, I can see this getting 4 stars from moi.

Having just moved to the new castle area, pizza 238 is hands down the best pizza within a 20 minute radius. Ask for a well done pie and you will get some of the best pizza in westchester. Prices are a bit steep…16 bucks for a plain pie. However, I would still rather pay the price for good pizza instead of the bubble gum you find at most other pizza places around here.

We just had a meatball parm wedge. The flavor of the meatballs was delicious and the bread was fresh and the crust was toasted perfectly. We also had Sicilian pizza which was equally delicious. We were pleasantly surprised as the last pizzeria in that location was not nearly as good.

Stopped here with my wife and child. First impression was great. Pizza looked good with a large selection. We both decided to try their eggplant lunch special for $ 7.99 each and my son had the chicken fingers for $ 7.99. It went down hill from there. Much to our surprise, our eggplant dish had 2 PAPER THIN slices of eggplant, 3 small slices of tomatoes and a sliver of Romano cheese and a spoon full of pasta. Did I mention they came out cold. At best, it looked like an appetizer dish. My sons dish had 3 small slices of breaded chicken with FF. 2 glasses of wine and 1 soda. $ 43.00 plus tip and we walked out of there still hungry. Very disappointing.

Hey, we just discovered this place which is about a ten minute drive and well-​worth it. Myself and my husband have been sampling different parts of the menu so here are our recommendations to date: Buffalo chicken pizza and all other pizzas are very very tasty. The salads are wonderful too: Millwood salad and the Chappaqua salad (secret tip — I asked them to chop mine and it made the salad even that much better– woohoo I felt lucky that I finally found a place to make a decent salad around this area yey!). The Baked Ziti Bolognese dinner was absolutely delicious and a humongous portion. (Eggplant parm a little soggy and bland– don’t recommend this dish — also their mozzarella sticks weren’t that good either– they tasted too salty and like they were definitely frozen for awhile). Despite the couple of dishes that weren’t so good, the deliciousness of the other dishes far outweighed the couple of other dishes that could be a little better. The chicken soup was very fresh — it tasted like they just made it upon my order, and when we were in there — we heard a bunch of families ordering the Zeppolis for dessert for their kids there — so even though we haven’t tried them yet — I got the idea that the Zeppolis were a very popular dish there. Also the big guy up front is very friendly and accomodating and has that true Italian warmth and charm.

Delicious plain slice. Nice variety of other slices. Clean. Nice atmosphere for an informal pizzeria. Holds up to slices in NYC.
