Highland, NY

This deli has been around for so long. AND there’s a reason for that. The first that should be mentioned is hands-down the great customer service. The owner is a hard worker, yet between all the people he deals with everyday and all the orders he puts out, he is always smiling and brightens up this little place. They’re always easy and quick no matter what you order from the rolls and sandwiches to the Saturday BBQ’s. If you ever get the chance, do not miss out on that BBQ!

The breakfast sandwiches were descent but every time I buy a breakfast here I get short changed. The first time they didn’t give me $ 7 in change from a $ 20. I had to wait until they counted the drawer out that night and get it the next am. Honest mistake I thought however the next 2 times the other counter person didn’t give me change at all. Obviously this is an intentional move.

Every time I am in town to visit family I have to get a sub from Kirky’s! It’s what a NY sub should be! I get a provolone sub with lettuce, tomato, and onion with the CHIPOTLE MAYO! OMG, amazing. The macaroni salad and potato salad are pretty awesome too. Plus the fresh baked goods are always delicious!

Best egg sandwich in the Hudson Valley. Every time I come in (which isn’t that often), Kirky remembers me and is cheerful & friendly. He has a loyal following of gents who occupy the place for coffee mornings. I always feel welcome here, love their food, and can’t say enough great things about the place. What a neighborhood deli should be!

Had a casual summer party catered by Kirky’s, the food was great. BBQ chicken, ribs and salads delish, just like what I grew up eating in upstate NY.
