This place is awesome! Delicious — fresh and tons of food! Phở — Bahn Mi — Spring Rolls — Vermicelli Super fast and the cashier is so friendly and helpful. Totally recommend! Just started working downtown and I have been twice.

Tried bep for first time today. My pork banh MI sandwich was very good, and the guys on the line were friendly. I would not recommend the citrus soy sauce that’s offered with the sandwich, it’s thin and soaked the bread. It shouldn’t be offered on this sandwich. I really like crispy french bread, so that’s a bummer. But ingredients are fresh, meat is tasty and tender, two thumbs up.

I love bep. Delicious, fresh ingredients and not at all shy on the servings. Love their vermicelli and phở bowls. Can’t wait to try out their bahn mi. I only wish they were open evenings and weekends so I could eat all week long!

Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. I’ve enjoyed eating my way through the menu from the phở, vermicelli noodle bowls, banh mi and fresh rolls. Fresh ingredients and delicious choices from tofu, shrimp, steak, pork and chicken. The staff are friendly and helpful. Bep is tip top.

I came here for a banh mi sandwich last week and already consider myself a regular. So delicious, fast, affordable, and fresh. Spring roll happy hour will be my go-to for late/cheap lunches. I figured a $ 2 spring roll would already be prepared, but it’s just like everything else– you choose all the ingredients that go into your spring roll, and they roll it up in front of you.

Phở, Bahn Mi, and Spring Rolls. A limited menu that works really well at this great little place. And I do mean little. Do not plan on eating in as the restaurant can seat maybe 10 people with a very long line out the door. Don’t let the line intimidate you as it goes fast. The food is exceptional especially the Bahn Mi and reasonably priced for the skyway. This has become one of my three go-to lunch spots.

Very tasty phở for the money. Tofu, beef broth, green onions, cilantro, mint, jalapeños and sprouts. $ 8 total. Stayed hot on a 5min walk back to the office. Will definitely come again.

It’s in the skyway Vietnamese Chipotle Authentic? Don’t know. Couple weeks ago when I was downtown Minneapolis, I walked past here and saw the signage. Vietnamese street food. Note to self: check this place out the next time you are downtown. Today was that day. Got there close to two so the line was non-existent when I got there. I imagine they could get crowded during the lunch hour as they did have the rope queue set up, but I can’t imagine it gets anywhere near as bad as Chipotle or Naf Naf Grill in the US Bank building which are more on the main thoroughfare of downtown foot traffic. Think there were three basic options on the menu: Vermicelli Noodle Bowl, Phở, or Spring Rolls. I opted for the Vermicelli Noodle Bowl. Choose your protein, choose your toppings, and choose your sauce. I went with Grilled Chicken, peanuts, carrots, lettuce and the chili sauce. Just shy of nine bucks. Worth every penny. Left with my stomach full and my taste buds happy. Good value for the money. It is nice to see that some other types of cuisine are getting in on the Chipotle format. Cuisine that you would normally have to sit down and waste time with waiter service for instead made quick and easy. Was it the best Vietnamese food I have ever had? Probably not. Would I go back? Absolutely. Gonna try the phở next time.

Got the phở for my first trip here and it was definitely the best downtown Minneapolis phở I’ve had.(I don’t count Lotus or anything on eat street as downtown). The soup was pretty good although nothing compared to the more authentic Vietnamese places outside downtown. The price was reasonable. I could get the fixings to top off my soup. I was a little disappointed by the speed it took to prep a bowl of phở but overall it didn’t take that long. I’ve had dreams of opening a quick Vietnamese place, and in those dreams, my bowls of phở were coming off the line about twice as fast as BEP. It took probably 3 – 5 mins… Last negative was the carrying container it came in. For whatever reason, some broth got into the rim of the top and then it would drip out periodically as I walked back to work. 4 stars because I’ll probably end up coming here at least once a week!

Finally a phở restaurant in downtown Minneapolis! I was skeptical strictly based on the location(in the skyway for a Vietnamese place) but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff: Their staff was very polite and enthusiastic about their business. They informed me about their rewards program and you can tell that they have fun working there. Design: Very small space with maybe 5 or 6 chairs. Minimal style with a nice street view from the skyway level. Nothing incredibly special, but then again, the design/décor is not what I’m at a Vietnamese restaurant for. Food: Ah yes, the food! I would say, on a scale of 1 to 5, their phở is a solid 4. This said, I’ve had phở at nearly every eatery in town with Quang being my all time favorite. Quang gets a 5. The broth at Bep is right on par, you can tast the starseed and it’s deliciously salty and robust. They seem to add a bit more beef than a lot of other places but I like that. They even have to go bowls that stay closed pretty well when you are walking in the skyway. Additional disposable«phở shovel» or as some people call it, spoons. Overall: The place is well put together and is well designed to be a downtown Vietnamese eatery. I’ll definitely be back to try some other items. But wait, it gets better. They have a rewards program. I know, right? For every 6 bowls of phở you get, you get the 7’th free. At the price of around $ 8 for a bowl of soup, it’s a pretty good deal. Especially for a location downtown. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Yay! Been waiting for a Vietnamese place to pop up in downtown Minneapolis forever! If you want fresh ingredients and a quick lunch this is the place to go. Concept mirrors Vietnamese street food so quick and fast food but so not like American fast food! You start off by choosing what kind of dish you want: Banh Mi, Vermicelli noodle salad, or spring rolls(3); then meat choices are grilled chicken, grilled pork(my fave), garlic shrimp(extra charge), or tofu and then lastly choose your toppings and sauces. Oh and cannot forget phở! Choice of chicken or beef. my favorite so far is the grilled pork vermicelli noodle salad topped with lettuce, cucumber, pineapple, jalapeños and the fish sauce. Don’t forget to pick up some sriracha for spice and lime for some citrus! Great concept! I do wish there was more seating, very small area, if you go during the busy lunch hour you will most likely be taking it to go and back to the office. I just heard from the owner today that they are going to be partnering with a delivery service which is awesome for anyone who may not be able to get there as often. That will definitely be an option for me in the case I am stuck in meetings and can’t get out. Please go support Bep you won’t be disappointed!

The bright side of an otherwise terrible bus re-routing due to the Nicollet Mall project is that I discovered Bep tucked in the skyway level of the 5th street towers. I went there today for lunch and was thrilled to see some of my favorite quick Vietnamese items on the menu. I tried the vermicelli noodle salad with tofu and peanut sauce. Yes, that’s right – they have sauteed tofu! Yay! It is a hefty bowl that fills you up, which should prevent my mid-afternoon Yogurt Lab craving. And the price is very reasonable. I can’t wait to try the tofu bahn mi. No veggie option for the phở, but at least they are transparent about that. And since I could probably eat the vermicelli bowl every day, I’m doing just fine.

Really great addition to the downtown skyway lunch scene. Menu is super simple: you can choose between banh mi, vermicelli noodle salad, phở, or spring rolls. Once you choose your vehicle, you decide on meats and other toppings/fillings. The line moved fairly quickly, and I got the vermicelli noodle salad with grilled pork, all the fixings, and the peanut chili sauce. Super fresh tasting and delicious. My friend had the phở; I tried the broth, and it was definitely solid. If you work downtown and are craving Vietnamese food or just a healthy option, try Bep Eatery. Otherwise, you can order BiteSquad/Postmates from Lotus to Go Go.

Was recently craving some phở and stumbled upon Bep Eatery. I was hoping for something more authentic and sit down, but Bep Eatery was a great find. They are a simple fast casual Vietnamese restaurant. Its great for people who are in a hurry and need to grab some food to-go. Also, I think its a good stepping stone for people who want to try Vietnamese cuisine(Vermicelli, Spring Rolls, Banh Mi, and Phở). The staff is very friendly and its nice to be able to see everything that goes into dish. Its an interesting concept and I wish the owners the best of luck in their quest to open more! P. S. Please don’t take it the wrong way when I said I was hoping for something more authentic. I’m just used to phở being in a casual dining format where you get to pick from a plate of toppings and a selection of sauces at your table. You must protect the integrity of the broth!

After spending many years in San Francisco, when I returned to Minneapolis t was disappointed that I couldn’t find a Vietnamese restaurant in the never ending food court of the skyway system. Bep Eatery has filled this missing need. Now it’s no Quang, but it’s a great choice for a healthy, tasty, and priced right lunch. I’ve had the vermicelli salad with chicken several times. With all the new designer salad places that have sprung up recently, Bep offers a nice healthy alternative. Seating is limited and the line can sometimes be long during the lunch hour(like most good skyway lunch spots).

Phở has been notably lacking in the downtown skyway scene so I was stoked to discover this place. Ordering phở assembly line style was a a bit worrisome but it turns out it just made it easier to transport and quicker to get to the eating! Went for the steak phở with all the standards(basil, bean sprouts, cilantro, jalapeños, onions.) I had to stop the dude at the counter from squirting sriracha and hoisin direct into the bowl, keep it on the side! don’t ruin that broth bro! The beef broth turned out to be super tasty, lighter in color, less salty and more gingery than I’m used too. Price and portions were reasonable, especially given the area. The rare-steak was very good but I little disappointed/surprised they didn’t have any of the other phở standards(where’s brisket, tripe, and most-importantly tendon!?!) Overall a good fresh tasting bowl of phở for a reasonable price in an area in desperate need of such a thing. I will defiantly be going back!

Authentic. Flavorful. Amazing. In less than three weeks since its grand opening, the line out the door indicates just how quickly word has spread about the gem that is Bêp. Don’t be intimidated though — the line moves quickly, so you’ll be eating your(delicious) food in no time. 1. The food is stellar. 2. The owners are Minnesotan grown. 3. The prices are so affordable. 4. The service is friendly and efficient. 5. The restaurant is spotless. What more could you ask for? Welcome to Minneapolis, Bêp!

Amazing, authentic Vietnamese food in the skyway! Menu offers banh mi, vermicelli noodle salad, spring rolls and my favorite phở! The phở is delicious! Love how easy the menu is. Pick your eat, pick your meat, sauce it and fill it. Great staff as well. Only downside is there isn’t a lot of seating so you have to go early or plan on to go. This will be a place I will keep coming back to for lunch! Great prices too.

It’s like Chipotle for Vietnamese. Bep, which means kitchen in Vietnamese, opened this week in the Fifth Street Towers. It’s a small place, maybe 7 tables, with a small menu: only 4 items: Banh Mi, Vermicelli Bowl, Spring Rolls(you get 3) and Phở. I tried the Banh Mi with chicken, an assortment of veggies, and Vietnamese sauces. It was tasty, but a touch salty for me. The ingredients look quality and the service is quick — they make everything to order while you are ordering it. Location seems a little tucked away, it’s by the skyway between 5th Street Towers and the Soo Line Apartments.

I’m pretty pumped to have a quality Vietnamese skyway restaurant close to my work. I didn’t have too high of expectations since I figured there was no way it could measure up to any of the University Ave joints I frequent. But… This place looks like a winner to me. I had the beef phở with all the recommended fixings including a healthy handful of jalapeños and a drizzle of sriracha. I was expecting a bland luke warm broth but it was piping hot with great spice character that definitely measures up. Other things I like: — No Styrofoam used — Finally a restaurant in the 100 S. Fifth St. Tower — Minimal yet very nice looking décor w/5 or so tables — Can’t beat the price for a perfect lunch size bowl of phở. I’ll be coming back to try the banh mi and the spring rolls soon!
