Stopped in with some friends as I’m from out of town. I loved the look and feel of the place. The menu was huge but only beer and brats as options. I had an elk brat with carmalized onions and bacon sourkroute. I had a good time and food, fries and beer were all very good but I gave it a 3 because in my opinion the price was too high.

I am of German heritage and really wanted to like this place. I came here to meet a group of people who go out monthly for a pint of beer. I was here at 6:30 pm on Wednesday while the place was still empty. I was to get a discount on the beer but the manager waited on me and didn’t give me the discount. A female waiter was friendly, but the manager was not. Others reported that they did not think he was friendly or even wanted us here. I had been here once before and had a similar experience. I think if this place had a better manager, the experience would have been better. With so many places to get a craft beer, I am not returning here.

Awesome food, great beer. I had the alligator sausage with bacon-krout and mushrooms. We also had the giant pretzel and fries. Everything was delicious! Met and exceeded my expectations. Lots of topping and mustard choices. Traditional German bench seating. Long list of beers on tap. A little pricey($ 10 for my sausage, $ 20 after fries and a beer) but worth it. I don’t give 5 stars often but this place earned it.

This place is always packed. Granted, I normally come here for team trivia and there’s a lot of teams that come out for it. It’s a tiny space with a decent amount of seating for its size so it gets loud pretty fast. I like brats and beer so this place works well for me, and their cheese curds are solid which is always a win in my book. Their ordering system was weird to me at first but now I frankly prefer it.

One of the most amazing sausage experiences I’ve had outside of Deutchesland. Stopped in in a whim when the line at Kramarczuk’s next door(God bless them) was ridiculously long. This place was empty & I was feasting on rabbit/antelope sausage with Belgian fries within minutes. Great tap beer selection & delicious mustard assortment. The sausage /toppings combos are endless. Prepare to make some tough decisions!

So sweet. I love everything about this place. Great beers, great service, great brats, sound system, pretty people. I didn’t dig my salad tonight, but thought it was my fault. Bartender noticed i didn’t eat much, and bought me a beer. Thank you!

Lots of beer and of course various brats. Life is good. They offer group seating so you just might find yourself sitting next to some new besties. Who doesn’t like drinking water out of a repurposed keg? They place does have a German feel to it, I wish that they had other fare for kids though. My daughter wasn’t into the sausages and the police frown on her downing tap brews.

This place is weird. You walk in and order like you do at the movie theater. The beer choices are on a scrolling screen. They don’t have great selections. I am also not a huge brat person but I opted for the apple chicken with the slaw and onions and fries with the bacon bleu cheese dipping sauce. I had a party of seven with me and we all went up individually and ordered while keeping a spot at the communal table that would fit us all. I ordered in the middle and they forgot my order. I finally asked the gal that was strolling thru what happened. She came back and basically they never prepared it. I did finally get my 18.00 brat and fries after ever body else ate and they got my sauce wrong. They also did not offer to do anything to make up for the fact that I had to wait so long for my order. It is over the top loud inside and I had a booming headache and just could not wait to get out of there. I would have left sooner if my order would have came on time.

I came here to have beer/snacks with a friend. I had worked out earlier and ate afterwards, so I just wanted to meet somewhere where I could have a beer and something small to nibble on. He suggested New Bohemia in NE and I’m really glad he did. We each had two beers — Bauhaus and I got something from Steel Toe(I love that brewery). They were on tap and delicious and hit the beer-craving spot. We went there in the early afternoon on a Monday, so it was pretty empty and that’s okay. The place is really clean and nice. It’s next to Ginger Hop in NE. We ordered the Jackalope(jack rabbit and antelope) sausage that was featured on Bizarre Foods and a side of fries. They have a lot of specialty condiments such as mango curry ketchup. It’s amazeballs. I would go back here to meet up with friends for a beer anytime. I guess they also have a location in Golden Valley that is biking distance from my house, so I will check that too too.

Withdrawals were about to set in as we realized that one year ago, we were surrounded by lederhosen and dirndls in a sea of steins and pretzels chanting«Prost!» like American idiots(we were with actual Germans so it was ok) at every opportunity at Oktoberfest in Munich. We sought out the best German bar we could find in the Cities to avoid said withdrawals and decided on New Bohemia. To our surprise and delight, there were a bunch of beers on tap, long communal tables and benches like a Bavarian beer house and carb-loaded pretzels(with dipping sauces) as big as your head and wursts to soak up the brewskies. It was delightful.

I really enjoy New Bohemia. I have been here many times, the place is great for game watches and pre-gaming before a late night bar. The cheesy fries with dipping sauces are delish, get those. Biggest negatives are that it’s beer/wine only and the service is AWFUL, consistently atrocious. They never have enough bar tenders and even when they do they just don’t seem to be very concerned with speed. Very nice people just slow.

Came in to try a new place that I’ve seen many times passing by. We ordered some brats and some beer. Wasn’t sure on what beer I wanted so I spoke to Mr. Bryan Buser who I know has a unbelievable amount of knowledge in the beer world. I told him how I like my beer and he nailed it to a T. His beer recommendation was exactly what I wanted. Brats were very good, I don’t like mustard but guess what?! I threw it on there and wow was it good. It was like a stone ground mustard very good. Also had a amazing basket of cheese fries with stout beer BBQ sauce which was great. You’ve never had fries like this. If I could explain it I’d say it was a cheese gravy, it was very good! We will definitely be coming back and I will be telling everyone I know about my experience with Bryan his beard and the restaurant. Thank you!

What a great selection of brats and beer! I had a hard time choosing what to get, but I ended up getting the classic bratwurst. They have a large variety of toppings and mustards you can put on your brat too. They have a large selection of local beers too. The inside is pretty small and can be crowded, but they have a decent amount of outdoor seating as well. We didn’t get the pretzel, but everyone around us had ordered it, and it looked amazing. It was massive and is definitely on my list of things to try next time.

I came to this place for trivia with some friends and grabbed some bites while we were here. It was definitely crowded, most people were there to play trivia, but made it really feel like a German Bierhall with the long tables and beer list and brats and wursts. I had the spanish chorizo, which was good, but not quite what I was looking for, I wanted something more like a mexican chorizo, lesson learned. The cheesy fries were so good — the cheese sauce definitely made this very addictive, I could have eaten a large by myself. I would pass on the pretzel bowl chili — the chili was not that good and the pretzel bowl was okay. I also got the New Bohemia salad which was surprizingly very delicious — but then again, how can you go wrong with bacon and bacon dressing in a salad? I little heavy handed on the dressing, but very delicious. We also shared the bread pudding — so delectable and a nice ending to our meal. Trivia was enjoyable as well and I would definitely go here weekly if I lived in MN.

I absolutely loved it here, and we happened upon this place by accident. We wanted to try Brasa down the road but they were closed for 4th of July(what the hell? SOUNPATRIOTIC!) so I Unilocaled whatever was nearby and found New Bohemia. The only criteria we had was that they had outdoor seating and that they allowed dogs. Bingo bango, we’re in. I ordered 2 sausages and a large frites. Husband got the smoked elk(it tasted like jerky, delicious) and I got the rabbit/rattlesnake(it was good, but it didn’t taste«exotic» enough; I know that’s vague and stupid but it tasted like chicken sausage! Good chicken sausage, but still chicken sausage.) The frites were amazing and crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning. Try the spicy cheese dip with them. Their beer list was impressive and wonderful. This is the first place I’ve been to where they had Hell or High Watermelon on tap and it blew my mind. I also loved the homemade mustards that they offered on each table(the honey weisse mustard was too damn good).

A friend suggested we meet here when I asked to try someplace new for lunch. I arrived at 11:45 on a week day and had the place pretty much to myself, at least at first. When you come in you are faced with a large chalk board highlighting your choices everything from bratwurst and beef franks to vegetarian, Italian, smoked antelope and yak sausages. Prices are around $ 6 for the classics and $ 8 for the exotics. Note: not a place for a non-meat eater. You order at the counter, take your number and head to the long communal tables reminiscent of a Bavarian beer hall. I ordered the lunch special. For around $ 10 you get a wurst with two toppings, side dish and a house beer(or soft drink). In my case I tried the Italian Wurst with onions and peppers with fries and a Mexican Cola. It was a delicious and satisfying lunch. My only gripe was that there buns aren’t able to hold up to the hearty sausages and toppings so things can get a bit messy so be sure to grab some extra napkins. Note also, parking is street only so you may have to walk a bit from your street spot but again, on a weekday there was plenty of parking nearby. Bottom line, unique, good value and tasty and not busy at all for lunch.

Went there on a Thursday early evening. The bartenders are awesome! Really nice and helpful. I like the communal seating arrangement. There weren’t so many people inside so no one sat by us. Several of their beers were on happy hour which was cool. We had the $ 14 pretzel!!! and the cheese curds. Also had a wild boar sausage and bread pudding. The cheese curds are amazing! I’m happy with for the pretzel but don’t feel like I need to get it again. Sausage was just ok but the bread pudding was really good! All in all it is a solid place that I would return to if I had a lot of people getting together or just wanted some cheese curds!

3 of my buddies and I met at New Bohemia for lunch before going to the Brauhaus Tap Room, about a mile up the road on central. I entered and ordered a Milwaukee Hop IPA. Good stuff. We sat at a tall table and waited for our food. I ordered the Rattlesnake Rabbit Jalapeño. Amazing! The bun was cooked perfectly and added the spicy kraut and mushrooms as my free toppings. A little pricey at 8 bucks, the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the price. The food was super juicy from the rabbit fat probably, but it was a really good brat. It tasted a lot like a chicken brat. I didn’t really taste any spiciness from the spicy kraut, nor the jalapeño in the brat. I tried a few of my buddies’ fries and they were great, but he didn’t like how salty they were. Another buddy got the chorizo brat and liked it a lot, another got the Andouille and loved it. Everyone was satiated. They have A LOT of beer on tap. If I weren’t off to another tap room, I would probably have had more than one. Great food, great service. 8 bucks for a hot dog is the only thing that kept it from 5 stars.

This is a super fun concept and great blend of food, drink, and social atmosphere. The space is divided into three parts. The first part is the smallest and has space for a line, a menu, and a counter for ordering. The second part is the largest and is for indoor eating. The third part is the outside sidewalk seating area where we spent our time. It had long tables and high chairs for communal eating. Even though the set up was social, we easily only socialized with our own group. I loved people watching. We got the exotic sausage platter with three kinds of sausage and three kinds of sauerkraut. We also got some beer. Our server skimmed over the description of the food and didn’t give us any kind of direction about how to pair them. I haphazardly put different pieces of sausage and sauerkraut on the toasty bread and got frustrated that I didn’t discover the ideal pairing. Our friend ordered something different from us and seemed to enjoy his food better. I think that New Bohemia Wurst and BierHaus was a super fun experience mostly because of the beautiful weather and great company at my table. The food was good but it could have been improved with better direction about how to best enjoy it.
