Not serving food at 6:30pm on a Monday. Got food elsewhere and wanted to sit and have a beer, but was told I couldn’t sit at there bar with someone else’s food. Would give zero stars if I could.

What a charming establishment with a nicely laid out selection of wines and gourmet items. I only ordered a latte, and it had to be the worst latte ever. Ergo, 3 stars.

My partner and I love Surdyk’s in Terminal 1 but when we came to terminal 2, expecting our usual fare of delicious veggie-filled and lightly dressed soba noodle, and light fluffy poached salmon, we were disappointed with the the plain soba noodle and the overcooked dry salmon. The quality of the ingredients and the lack of attention to the detail are immediately discerning. I cannot say I would ever order food from Surdyk’s in terminal 2 again. Even the coffee was burnt. The one redeeming quality was the staff — our server was polite and did apologize for the difference in outward appearance of our food. Pass on this one.

Delicious chicken, bacon, avocado and gourmet potato salad! Goes great with one of their many wines. Prices are average for airports and the food is delicious, worth stopping!

My favorite airport restaurant/wine bar in America! Great appetizer and cheese selection here, along with nice wines at fair prices — unheard of in most airports…

They are understaffed. And I’m guessing that because they’re understaffed thats why they aren’t kind. They’re rude with so much visible attitude. You’d think that because we are in an airport and have flights to catch, they would be a little more time conscious. Instead we waited for at least 20 minutes for someone to take our order before giving up. Yikes! Very disappointed with the customer service.

I grabbed a quick bite before heading to my gate. I had the cheddar bacon scone and a cup of coffee. The scone was delicious and they warmed it up for me when I asked. Coffee went down smooth as well. I feel like I’m ready for this flight now!

Whenever I leave Minneapolis to head back to Chicago I always leave my hotel early so that I have time to have breakfast here before my flight boards. While they have a great menu and like many other people have commented, have the best airport food for the price, they will make you anything they have the ingredients for. My breakfast favorite is two eggs over easy with the applewood bacon and a bowl of fruit. The fruit bowl is awesome! I highly recommend anyone to stop here and eat! Brett M. took care of me and was very helpful and making sure I received the best service.

Ok guys, this place is amazing!!! I got stuck here overnight grabbed dinner Togo and some prosciutto it was the bomb. I had to come back the next morning and buy 2 more packs for the rest of my trip. Had a latte it was also incredible and their breakfast paninis were on point as well. It’s a little pricey but it’s quality. You get what you pay for! You get yumminess here!!! Service was excellent as well :))

On a recent trip from MSP to Boston I got through security at Terminal 2 faster than expected and had about an hour before boarding. I took advantage of the chance to sit and relax at the in-gate Surdyks Flights mini restaurant and had a great experience! I had a local organic salad with greens, beet slivers, toasted walnuts, and chèvre. At $ 10 it was a hefty size and not bad for airport prices. I also tried the warm olives and really enjoyed those. The food came out fast(good for airport fare!) and the combo bartender /server who served me at my table was very helpful and pleasant. Whether I’m early or not for my next flight I’ll be back!

Thanks for closing early when so many of us are stranded here. The loud party music coming from behind the counter shows how much your staff is broken up about it. Fail. You serve a captive airport population. Please consider keeping your posted hours if you want to keep favor from the traveling public.

I ordered a charcuterie plate, which included three types of meat, three cheeses, mustard, fruit, nuts and bread.($ 18) The meats were low quality, the bread was basically French bread you can buy at any chain grocery store cut into thick slices. There really wasn’t anything noteworthy about any of it. After leaving a large portion on the plate, I decided to risk $ 4 and order the dark chocolate brownie. The outside was dry and the inside seemed almost underdone. Overall, very disappointing.

For airport food, I’m pretty impressed. It’s a full service restaurant and it’s reasonably priced. Their small plates are actually very filling(you get a good amount food considering it’s the airport). For chicken liver pâté, pretzel with beer cheese, and a bowl of chicken chowder that comes with half a baguette, it was $ 21.99. I was super hungry and ordered way too much for 1 person, but no regrets! I’ll be back!

I travel quite a bit, and this was the best airport food I’ve ever had. I got the organic greens salad and they put a ton of smoked salmon in it for me. They even brought it over to where I was sitting, outside of their area. They also have a great selection of drinks, including Kombucha!

Surdyk’s is always excellent. We have started getting to the airport 3 hours early so we can sit down for lunch here. The breakfast burrito is usually my go-to, but this time it was afternoon so I went for the roast turkey-manchego. It’s just so hard to put a price on great cheese. I’m not sure how such a simple sandwich can be so flavorful, but I’m guessing it starts with the cheese. I had the Tempranillo for wine which is out of Spain. I didn’t really like it but that isn’t Surdyks’ fault. They make a top notch meal every single time.

Surdyk’s is a good liquor store but an even better airport food choice. If you have the time, sit down! I’ve had some delicious pre flight breakfasts here. Breakfast paninis FTW. LOL that there is a Subway next door. Random, but the fruit they serve on the side is actually fresh and good, not cantaloupe and honeydew like any other restaurant. My mom got the cheese plate once because she’s bougie(still love her!) and it was really good and well priced. The wine selection is supposedly on point too, but I know nothing about wine other than what I learned from that Somm doc on Netflix before I fell asleep. Service is always good too. One time a table next to mine freaked out and realized that their flight was actually earlier than they thought and the server was prompt and quick taking care of everything. The only reason I knocked a star is their to go options just aren’t at the same level. There’s a good selection, but the sandwiches get soggy and fall apart easily. Bummer. If you have the time to sit down– and know which time your flight actually is– Surdyk’s is the place to be in T2.

I’ve been flying out of this terminal a lot, and was happy to see an option finally worth eating at pop up here. Huge wine list and dessert options, but, I didn’t indulge in either. Opted for the Miniapple Panini with the standard side salad. The sandwich includes: Applegate farm roast turkey, brie cheese, apples, red onion and creamy lingonberry sauce. Side salad was some tossed greens with a vinaigrette and some raw red onions. I’m not exactly sure why they chose the raw purple onions. Totally overpowered the flavor of the greens and drizzle. Was good though. Just a miss on the flavor profile and matching there. The panini… good and bad. I’m hard pressed on this one, no pun intended. Lots of cheese, which is fantastic and never a bad thing. However, the sandwich itself was VERY short on any other flavors. Some bites I got the full flavor affect of the apples, turkey, brie and lingonberry. Those bites, hell yes, give me more. But, half of the other bites were a grilled cheese… which isn’t bad, but, made me miss the bites where I got a little of everything. Service could have been better. Acknowledged when I stopped in, checked on after the first bite, and that was it. They somehow missed that my water glass was empty shortly there after and not a single ask about getting it refilled until I threw my napkin down. Which, again, presented an odd situation in that, someone asks about the water, but, doesn’t notice an empty plate with a napkin sitting on it. After a few minutes, I just turned around and dropped it off on the bar. Did over hear the staff talking about a huge rush just getting done, which is great, but, that means you have plenty of time to then pay attention to the people sitting there. Food was ok, service, meh. Will I eat here again? Probably out of default thanks to it being one of the only options in T2.

What is not to love about the fresh ingredients and awesome food at this airport restaurant? It’s small, but packs a real flavor and freshness punch! Need to eat? Drink? At this airport in this terminal? You can’t beat it!

I’m a little confused… I can’t POSSIBLY be at an airport restaurant! This place is a fantastic escape from it all. I had about a 3-hour layover in MSP. There were no airport lounges nearby and the military haven was also pretty far away as well. I decided to just stay in Terminal 2 and see what there was to offer. I am SO glad I did(completely worth it). Let’s start with the staff. They are so very friendly and attentive. I felt like I was taken care of without being bothered every 3 nanoseconds. They made great recommendations as well. They might also be the most polite people I have ever met(especially from a service standpoint). I can’t tell you how many people came by asking if this place sells pizza, doughnuts, or chicken nuggets. Despite the fact that I couldn’t stop laughing at people asking for Burger King food, the people here were super kind to them and not pretentious at all(which is more than I can say for myself). Gotta love that midwest charm! People of Minneapolis-St. Paul, step outside your comfort zone and enjoy some amazing food and drink! I ordered the Mineapple panini($ 10) and the red blend flight($ 12). The panini was extremely hot and made almost to perfection. It is made with turkey, brie, apples, and a creamy sauce. Very delicious and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I got the fruit as my side. The serving was a little small, but the fruit was so fresh and sweet(delicious!). So glad my server recommended the fruit over the salad as the side. Finally, I chose the red blend because those tend to be my favorite wines and it was the cheapest(win-win!). It comes with three 2 oz glass pours from Chile, Washington, and Spain. Wine tends to be very person-specific, so I hesitate to say anything more. With that said, I found this to be a great set of 3 red blends. Each one was pretty distinct and smooth. Considering I travel almost all the time to see my military husband, I can honestly say I have never had a better airport experience(and no, that’s not the alcohol talking). This place would also stand-up to other restaurants outside of the airport. Only downside is the price, but what can you expect? Great stay for sure and will be back if I end up in Terminal 2 again.
