I won’t be going here anymore. Expensive and besides that. The guy offered me to change my vw air filter. I said no just the oil change. And when they put back the air filter they didn’t even take their time to put the hair filter back properly.
Never going there again!!!

Hmm, what a coincidence. The one time I use my new credit card. The ONE time. And suddenly I get a call from my banks fraud protection office saying someone is using my card number. If you go, pay cash.

I’ve gone to this Valvoline location a few times now, and the staff is super nice and efficient. They always tell you what additional services they recommend on top of an oil change, but they don’t pressure you to buy.
This location can get busy, especially on weekends, so I recommend going early or during the week, if possible.
As others have mentioned, you can always get coupons online.

I went into Valvoline for a new battery. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. They didn’t try to sell me anything extra, nor did they make me feel like a dumb girl for the things that were wrong with my car. The service was quick, and effective. They checked my other fluids, etc. I would definitely recommend this Valvoline location.

I’ve long been warned of slipshod work at quick oil change places but I’ve used Valvoline before happily.
Recently I had an oil change and rotation done. Seems simple enough…
Immediately upon leaving there was a thumping from the Left Front. There WAS a loose fender liner. I fixed that but the noise continued. Back at Valvoline they found 3 of 5 lug nuts «finger loose». The Mgr was at first unsure he had the correct socket the nut were so loose. Glad it never made it to the freeway.
Never again. Ah and all this was $ 63!
PS I DID send my experience to Valvoline via their website and received no reply.

MY OIL CHANGE @ VALVOLINE COST ME $ 7,000
Hoped for a professional oil change before a long road trip. I got a dangerously bad one. The technician did not tighten the oil plug compleatly. The oil plug worked its way out while on the highway, the oil drained out and ruined the engine. Stranded on the side of the highway I realized that this must be why the technician was acting shady and did not want to give me a receipt for this oil change. I will never go to Valvoline or any other quick oil change place again.
In anticipation of a response, I have already contacted Valvoline customer service and they were unwilling to accept responsibility. They were happy to continually pass the buck, and waste my time though.

I’ve been a regular customer at valvoline since I moved into the neighborhood a few year’s ago, but I won’t be anymore. This past weekend I took my vehicle in there and the staff was just plain rude. I was having service done on a fleet vehicle and they actually refused to do required maintenance and then challenged me when I questioned them on it.
In the past everything was professional and quick, but this time was different.

Quick and friendly service, but more expensive. I didn’t think to check prices because I’ve only ever seen oil changes that cost $ 19.95. (I haven’t had a car for most of the past decade, so I don’t remember when the last time I actually got an oil change was.) Their standard is $ 41. They have a $ 5 coupon on their website, but still… there’s a place across 24th street from them advertising an $ 18.95 oil change. There were a lot of low-​pressure attempts at upselling, but I have a regular place I take my car for service, and they didn’t seem to mind.
I went at around 1pm on a weekday and there were no cars in either bay. Just pull in the entrance on 24th street (exit only on Hennepin) and someone will direct you right in.
So yeah, a little pricier but fast and friendly.

Not a fan. I waited for quite a while. Once I got the oil change they dropped a wrench in my engine… they said they couldn’t find it and because they couldn’t find it they would take $ 5 off. I then said I was in no rush and to please find the wrench in my engine. I did not want to be driving, have the wrench hit the pavement and then do damage to my car. They agreed to look for the wrench and told me they found it. They gave me my oil change for free even though that is not what I wanted. A couple weeks later I was changing my headlights and discovered a wrench… they never actually found the wrench. Not impressed at all with this place.

Great service and price. Guys at jiffy lube said they’d haves to take my bumper off to replace the headlight on my vw gulf. Valvoline did it in like 5 minutes without taking off the bumper or anything and it was cheaper. Go with what’s smartest.

Been several times in the last year and have always had a good experience. Quick (note: I always avoid the place if there’s a line), not too much upselling, feel like I get my monies worth. I’ll go to Amigo if the car needs repairs, but will do this for just the oil change.

Dear Valvoline — I really wanted you to be good. I called at 10.35 am to confirm the price, coupon, and the time you open (11). You confirm and tell me that it will take 7 – 10 minutes and no appointment is necessary. I drive up at 10.50 and am told that you may not be at all open today because your systems are down. Or, I could wait 30 minutes to see if the systems are in fact down. Sigh.

Hands down the best oil change facility/​business in the Minneapolis area…
Their staff is unbelievably knowledgeable, attentive and kind. Additionally, their service is exceptionally quick, reliable and fairly priced.
Give ‘em a try. You won’t be let down.

Like Amber, I too love having a woman tech and Sarah is definitely cool. She makes great suggestions for products and services but at no point did I feel obligated or pressured. They are spendy, but it can be worth it to just drive in and follow their instructions (step on brakes, turn on left signal, right signal, etc) and then just relax and let them do the work.
Staff is super quick and efficient and I would recommend to anyone!

Sarah rocks!!! First off, I love having a woman tech, but all the people that I had helping me were nice and very easy-​going. I knew what I needed (tranny and radiator flush), and there was no upsell, yay! I have always had great service at Valvoline, but I am now partial to this location, thanks to Sarah. She even stopped me on the way out when she noticed that my tabs were expired, and offered to put them on for me. I’ll be back.

Great place to get an oil change, tire rotation, and other minor services. They are quick, reasonable priced, and always friendly. They will try and sell you additional services just like any chain oil change places but it’s not super high pressure it’s always presented as an offer not a recommendation. They dont use scare tactics to try and get you to buy new air filters, wiper blades, higher grade oil, etc. like some other quick lube places do. I highly recommend this place.

Went back just recently as it was time for another oil change. Cory helped me again and they still rock! It’s really great to go in and feel the care and respect they give you. It’s what keeps me going back.
