Prices are decent, there really isn’t a bad donut here, they are all awesome and unhealthy for you. Small facility, and you’ll sometimes face a line of people to be careful what time of day you go there. Nice treat for the kids once in a while though.

They clearly spike all their doughnut dough batches with addictive ingredients. My pancreas cries every time my coworkers bring in a box of these buggers.

Diabetic coma heaven. I love this place. I deliver mail in the area and the smell of the place is intoxicating. I have to stop in but not as often as I would like because I’d never be able to fit in the door. The wings and castle burgers are awesome.

I don’t eat doughnuts too often, but when I do, Donut King reigns supreme. The original location is out there in Minneola, but it’s an experience worth having. I usually stick to pretty basic doughnuts, a sour cream or glazed suits me just fine. If you want to let loose, though, there are a plethora of options for you including sour patch kids, mint, M&M covered, coconut, half-and-half, various filled options, etc. The wide range of sugared goodness is one of the draws. This location also has food options available with a Creole and/or Cajun theme to it, which I have not personally tried.

I love this place. My truck automatically turns into the parking lot when I try to drive by. Best I have had.

We made a special trip to Donut King today for their shrimp wrap(around 1:30), and they were out of shrimp. I then asked about chicken salad, and they were out of that. We then got their Castle burgers. They were terrible. My husband had a glazed white cream filled donut. Just before he finished his donut, he found a dab of cream. This place has certainly gone down hill.

Excellent donuts. Much better than than the chains donut shops. Diffidently a must if your on highway 27 in lake county. I gave them four stars as it took me 10 minutes to get to the counter. More morning staff needed at the counter during peek hours. Otherwise no issues with this place. Will be back.

I love Donut King. I love it too much. The donuts are fresh and amazing … and cheap. You can’t keep me away. The apple fritters are great as well. Its worth the drive from Orlando. As I’m writing this, I’m actually thinking about going there now.

Had the cheese sliders and several different donuts. Excellent on all. The donuts are moist and melt in your mouth. The sliders are about as close to Krystal as I’ve had. I didn’t care for the extra helping of onion they put on them but the flavor and freshness was top notch. In the future I’ll just specify to go easy on the onion. Definitely worth the drive, I’ll be back.

This place is awesome. We only got one donut to split(actually it as a triple chocolate éclair) I was expecting it cost several dollars, but to our surprise it was around $ 1.50! Prices are great and the choices are phenomenal. We will definitely visit again. Warning, it’s a hole in the wall place, so it is easy to pass while driving. It’s part of a tiny strip mall. We had to u turn, but it was no problem.

This Place is HEAVEN! These donuts never fail to impress me! Donut King offers tons of options, and is open 24⁄7! My Personal Favorite is the apple fritter! if you want something to snack on all day, this fritter will surely impress! its huge, and super delish! I usually pick up a dozen once a week for my In-laws! The only downside is the the drive thru is a tad difficult to maneuver, and sometimes the staff is a little on the sassy side. but the yummy donuts really make up for that!

OMG! When people say these are the best donuts ever they are not kidding! I’ve always been partial to Dunkin Donuts but they have officially been dethroned by Donut King. So what makes these so much better than everywhere else? Pretty much everything. For starters there are so many different varieties of donuts. Each time I have donuts from here, there are always three or four I’ve never seen before. And the flavors aren’t just your generic everyday plain or frosted-they have those but they also have donuts topped with fruit loops, toffee or butterfinger, red velvet and Bavarian crème filled. Then there’s the size of them; they are much bigger than your standard donut. And then besides the low price they are offered at, you have taste. They are fluffy and don’t leave me with that awful heavy feeling after. The chocolate frosting tastes like ganache and the Bavarian crème is super sweet. And for those of you unconvinced, they also have donut holes so you can sample a few different varieties.

We are not sure why Donut King is so popular in this area! They clearly have absolutely, positively the worst donuts AND customer service that we have encountered! Filthy, grungy and the most rude counter staff imaginable! Pass up this scary Minneola nightmare of a donut shop! There are Dunkin Donuts in the area that will better suite your needs. I gave 1 star only because you have to give a star! If there was a no star option, I would’ve chosen that! Awful experience!

Ahh Donut King. Donut King, Donut King, Donut King. There are fewer sweet spots in the heart of central Florida that can make someone want to cry sweet tears of joy. I have been going to Donut King for over 6 – 7 years and have never been disappointed once. Every time I go I fall more in love with the place and their sweet delicious donuts. The location is on the side of Hwy 27 and can be missed if you aren’t looking hard enough but once you find this place you will NOT be disappointed. There are various types of donuts they sell and they range from: Donut holes, Individual Donuts, Fancy Donuts, and King Donuts. Each donut is made fresh and is incredibly doughy, nothing like Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts. They are also open 24 – 7365 so you can indulge all day everyday The appearance of the shop is extremely common; there are a couple booths and tables but no real sitting areas. The Donuts were around 75 cents in previously years but as time goes on things get more expensive. They are now around 1 $ a donut but they are worth every bite. They also have hot food and don’t get me started on it. The sandwiches are made to order and extremely fresh. I recommend the breakfast croissant with eggs, bacon, and cheese. All and all donut king is an extremely important part of Central Florida and if you get the chance PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE take a visit and have some donuts.

The donuts in this place are insane. Even their plain glazed is to die for. I highly recommend the almond crunch one. I’ve only tried the donuts, so I can’t attest to anything else on the menu, but at some point I’m sure I will, as we are moving down to this area

So I found this place completely by accident, while driving from Orlando to Clermont for some BBQ on 8⁄18. I can’t exactly say why I stopped, as it’s an odd looking hole in the wall, but hey, when someplace proclaims themselves to be king, you have to give them at least one shot, right? It was later in the day, but the trays of donuts were still very full, and it seemed like they were still making them. They had a donut there bigger than my head! They also had some of the largest crullers and bowtie pastries known to man. King size! We stuck to the standard sized donuts which themselves were giant and cheap! At the time, the standard donut was only 80 cents! 80 cents! I’m used to paying 3 or 4 dollars for a good quality donut in NYC. The flavor choices were endless. An oreo topped donut, a nutter butter cookie topped donut, a blueberry cake donut, on and on. All were light and flaky with a nice sugary glaze. I’m told having the donuts hot is the way to go at this place if you can get them. My absolute favorite — the maple glazed bacon donut — not overly sweet maple glaze topped with about three slices of dices bacon — heavenly! This place is worth the drive from Orlando or where ever. And yes, this really is the Donut King.

Why is 6 stars not an option?!? Writing a review cannot get any simpler; Donut King is perfection. If you are looking for the best doughnut around then you need to stop by and get a few… dozen. Not only are these doughnuts perfect, but they are very affordable. They also have very quick service which allows you to begin Mission: Eat 6 Doughnuts in 6 Minutes just that much faster. They are definitely not a national chain so let’s enjoy these treats and ensure they remain open to feed our inner-fattie for decades to come.
