Well it is confusing because Hanada Hibachi changed its name to The Golden Ginza and for some reason it will not let you leave a review on The Golden Ginza. I have been to resturant under both names and they are the same. Everytime I go I eat at the hibachi tables. The food is good and you get alot of food. I was kind of suprised when I ordered extra fried rice with my meal and my meal was $ 16.99 and the extra rice was $ 6.00? I thought the price was a little much. Anyways the service was good and the owner is very nice. We will be back again but a little too much money to spend on dinner all the time.

I feel pretty bad for Hanada ever since Wild Fusion moved in basically across the street. ALtho fusion does not have the hibachi tables like Hanada, i feel as if this restaurant has been forgotten; like Myspace. I’ve been here for sushi lunch and its quite reasonable as most japanese places are with lunch specials. Two or three roll combo, with soup and salad all for around 12 $. I recommend the hibachi if you have a decent group to sit with, and I’m talking a group of 5 or 6. Otherwise if you are only a couple, you will mostly likely be forced to sit with another small group of people that you do not know… Just a pet peeve of mine, I’d rather not eat dinner with complete strangers, although I know some people don’t mind this. Anyway, hibachi food is good and the typical price range of 15 – 30 $ for different types of dinner, varying from vegetable to shrimp to steak and scallops. I’ve always enjoyed my food and everything was cooked to how I like. The hibachi chef’s are funny and love to fling food to you and even give extra sake if you ask hahah. The serving sizes are great and I always leave feeling satisfied and full. I’d hate to see this place forgotten with the sudden wake of Fusion. Give it a try and definitely test out a night at the hibachi tables! [They also do take out!]

We shared a Sushi boat for 3. It was good and reasonably priced.

Understaffed, slow service. Average food. It took so long to order that a couple next to us got up and left. We ordered sushi which didn’t come out till after our hibachi was cooked and eaten, almost an hour after it was ordered, no excuse. My wife ordered a glass of wine which came 20 minutes later with a piece of the label in it. One member of my party asked to have his food wrapped and was told 15 minutes later that it was thrown out, although he did get a beer on the house to compensate. I would not recommend this to a friend.

We sat at the hibachi table for our first and LAST time at this place. The service was bad in that our one main waitress had no personality, never smiled and never responded back when we would say thank you. The food itself wasn’t that great either. I ordered the filet and scallops combo and my wife got the chicken and filet combo. My scallops were fine but the filet was very chewy, even though it was cooked medium rare. My wife got medium and couldn’t eat any of hers b/c it was also very chewy. Her chicken was also gross — they didn’t cut out the fatty parts/veins, etc. and she thinks she had a little bone piece or hard piece in it… so that grossed her out. We complained about the filet and weren’t looking for a free meal, but it took a lot of back and forth with 2 different servers and the manager before they took half off my wife’s dinner… they didn’t even comp our desert.(Red bean ice cream was alright) The other stuff that came with the meal wasn’t that good either. They used too much oil for the rice and didn’t cook it long enough b/c it didn’t have that pan-fried taste and consistency. I have eaten at other places where it may be a couple bucks more for the same meal, but they give you so much more food with it. The other places include hibachi rice AND noodles, vegetables and shrimp appetizer… and then whatever meat you ordered. Overall, the place was nice in that it was clean and comfortable but the service was not good, and different parts of the meal were not good.

We wnt there this evening for dinner. The server was very funny and entertained the kids with the tricks and such. They enjoyed it. The hibachi food was good, large portions and tasted like I remeber hibachi tasting. The fried ice cream was very yummy and enjoyed by all. Glad to have found a local hibachi place that is convenient for everyone. Next time I will try the sushi as well.

It’s pretty much impossible to find good, fresh sushi in Westchester, especially north of White Plains. Hanada Hibachi is probably the best that you can do in the area. The rolls and sashimi are pricey(like $ 10+ for a roll and $ 20+ for the sashimi), the fish tastes like the pre-frozen kind, but it’s the best you can get(unless you like the supermarket variety of sushi). The gyoza and the other appetizers are very good though. The hibachi is probably slightly better, although I wouldn’t consider it true Japanese cuisine. It’s more for the entertainment value of having the guy throw knives around and trying to catch broccoli in your mouth. Due to the nature of this experience, I’ve always been paired with children, usually of the loud and spoiled variety, at my table. The hibachi is salty, so it’s not really my thing. It’s also around $ 20+ a head. There’s a bubble tea poster inside the restaurant and every time I’ve asked, they don’t have it!(Bubble tea is another luxury that Westchester cannot afford its residents). The fried ice cream is really good and a nice way to finish the meal. The owners(a husband and wife couple, I believe) are usually always around and very happy to see returning customers. She always gives me and my friend a hug when we stop by. Until an amazing sushi restaurant opens in Westchester, I will continue to go to Hanada because it’s the best/only thing around.
