Fat Tony’s is an amazing pizza place because not only does it have great staff and makes you feel like part of a community but it also has great pizza! I never had something like the spinach pizza they have. It’s very creamy and the crust is so soft. I would recommend it to everyone. For those finishing shopping from Woodbury commons and who want a little taste of Harriman def visit this restaurant.

We searched on Unilocal for a pizza place near Harriman. Fat Tony’s seemed to have good reviews, so we decided to try it out. We ordered 4 slices: –The Grandpa –Buffalo Chicken –BBQ Chicken –Bacon Ranch and Chicken The food was delicious! It was hard to pick which pizza was our favorite, but we decided that the Buffalo Chicken was our favorite. The pizza had the perfect texture. Not too thin, not too thick. The staff was very friendly too! As we ate, customers kept coming in, and the staff talked to them as though they were old friends. We will definitely be returning to try out some more things soon!

Stopped in to Fat Tony’s today on a recommendation from another Unilocaler, and very glad i did. You see, my wife and I used to live in Monroe for many years, and were frequent customers of another establishment that really went downhill over the last few years. We are in Newburgh now, but do come to Monroe for one reason or another every so often. First, we were warmly greeted the second we walked into Fat Tony’s, and given great descriptions of all the pizza’s on display and what was in the oven coming out. My wife ordered a chicken/bacon/ranch wrap with onion rings. The rings were fresh, crunchy, and delicious, and the wrap was stuffed with plenty of hot, moist chicken, crunchy bacon, ranch, and lettuce. Quite the hefty portion too. I opted for pizza; the chicken bacon ranch slice(apparently their most popular) was delicious, and different than other places make in the area, and I also sampled the Grandma slice, which was square, with a TERRIFIC marinara sauce over the cheese, and topped with fresh basil. If you love your sauce zesty and with plenty of garlic, you CANNOT go wrong with this one! They also let us sample a slice of their creamed spinach pie(this is how you win over new customers folks!)…which was so different and so scrumptious. Thin, perfectly cooked & tasty crust topped with a velvety, creamy sauce with heaping amounts of spinach and just enough garlic. Wonderful stuff. The entire staff were very friendly and thankful for our business, something you don’t see often enough these days. If you live in Monroe, I highly recommend Fat Tony’s, and if you are someone, like us, who occasionally venture back into town, this is a great pizza destination spot. We will be back!

Only went there to try the pizza since it just open. I must say the slices was great but WAY to small for my liking. Haven’t went back because it’s also to pricy for it being that small compared to Tasco’s way bigger slices.

My favorite pizza place in the area, and I’ve tried them all. We go here at least twice a week and EVERY time mFaty family is up to visit they want to come here. The spinach slice is to die for, and the sweet and spicy thai is my absolute favorite. Love Tony’s!!!

Was shopping at Woodbury Outlets. After over 5 hours of shopping I was super hangry. Looked at Unilocal and saw Fat Tony’s got a lot of good reviews. Went there and ordered the thin Sicilian bruschetta pizza. While waiting for the pizza I noticed how friendly the staff were and how everyone who came in the door were like friends. When we got the pizza it was delicious. Really good flavor and everything tasted super fresh. When we left we got up and paid. We then had a great conversation with the staff and I think the owner. They asked where we were from and had a very pleasant conversation. One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting and having conversations with people we meet. I felt like we were in our neighborhood pizza place. If we are ever near the area we would come back.

Solid thin crust pizza. We got meatballs on it and they could have been more flavorful. Ordered garlic knots and it was the perfect amount for the price. They were tasty and more on the parmesan side than garlic. In fact, that would be my main feedback: be a little more liberal with your garlic. Otherwise, the crew cooking and serving were extremely friendly and engaged us in easy conversation. Good night!

When leaving the restaurant, one of the guys asked us how we had heard about Fat Tony’s, and I responded Unilocal. He asked if I was going to write a review and I told him he could have the honor of being my first one(I’ve trolled on Unilocal!for years, but never actually written one). We decided to be adventurous and create our own pie(meatballs and mushrooms) and Fat Tony’s NAILEDIT. The crust was perfectly crisp and the pizza itself was not dripping grease at all which was fantastic, nor was it too cheesy. My dad, who doesn’t like cheese, said he really enjoyed it, and we all would go back in a heartbeat. It was just fantastic. As a side note, the people at Fat Tony’s were extraordinarily friendly, cracking jokes and having all in all were very hospitable. They were awesome. I would love to return and try more, but unfortunately we’re on vacation, and it’s not very easy for us to get to just for a night of pizza

Terrific surprise! My cousin and I were meeting her brother, who lives upstate near Albany, for lunch during our shopping day at Woodbury Commons. A Unilocal search revealed precious few options in the area — food court at the outlet center, a couple of chains, and Fat Tony’s. So with no expectations, off we went. And what a great place! First, kudos and many thanks to the young woman whose family apparently owns the place(so sorry I forgot to ask her name). She was kind enough to take a good 10 minutes to help my upstate cuz, whose on-board GPS got him lost, to arrive. So now we were starving… the cousin & I who’d been shopping ordered a slice of the spinach pizza, which looked so good in the case, to tide us over until our grilled chicken salads arrived. It is awesomely delicious! When I asked what makes it so creamy/gooey/cheesy/melty, I was told sorry, can’t give away the secret! I’m guessing there’s more than just cheese there, but no complaints whatsoever, it was incredible. My upstate cousin had the pasta e fagiole soup and spicy buffalo wings; he licked his fingers! His sister & I had the grilled chicken salads, which were fine, & exactly what we wanted. Be sure to ask for the lunch specials if you go for lunch. You won’t find nicer people anywhere, & the food is GOOD!

Friendly, family run restaurant with excellent thin crust pizza. The Sicilian cream spinach is one of the best slices I’ve had anywhere, let alone in Monroe. Their original is reminiscent of pizza you’d find in NYC. And their staff is warm and welcoming. Pretty much the only place I grab pizza since I discovered it.

This was our first time here, & we tried it based on the other Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed! Fat Tony’s is a plain looking place with really friendly service and delicious pizza. The crust was the perfect thinness, and I think they use a really good quality cheese because there was no oil dripping off the slice. The sauce had a touch too much oregano for my taste, but it might have been an oversight. I thought they were a little pricey, but if I’m in the area I’ll definitely try it again.

Small pizzeria, but pizza was amazing! Especially the Creamed Spinach Pizza! The staff recommended it. My first time ever seeing or hearing of creamed spinach pizza. The staff here are beyond friendly, and comical! Gotta love this place! We will definitely come back on our road trips to Albany and try other things!

On a Woodbury Commons shopping trip with some out of towners, we wanted something different from the chain restaurants. We looked on Unilocal and found Fat Tony’s. It’s a small Mom and Pop shop and was run by a brother/sister duo. It is a very small eat in pizza place, but it easily accommodated us. The staff were nothing short of AWESOME. It was great fun to chat with them while we waited for our pies. The brother/sister dynamic is hilarious!!! Really made us feel at home and went the extra mile to make sure we were well cared for. THEN the pizza came. Between 5 of us, we ordered 3 pies and they were ALL incredible. The Fat Tony’s Extravaganza was amazing! They even had Gluten-Free for my wife. If you want some fantastic pizza and some fun camaraderie you owe it to yourself to stop at Fat Tony’s. You will not be disappointed.

My friend suggested I try Fat Tony’s after my disappointment with Amalfi’s in Central Valley. I finally got to Fat Tony’s today for a couple slices(1-plain &1– sicilian w/creamed spinach). Both were delicious, I was interested in the creamed spinach and was not disappointed, it was great. Plain slice is the thinnest slice I’ve had in years, that’s good… I’m going to continue to try many more dishes and give them the full«treatment». cause, in my book, a New York pizza place has gotta have it all But, I’ll tell ya, my gut(stomach) is telling me Fat Tony’s has Got IT… they say they’re Bronx Pizza, so that’s a foot in the door with me ! More to come
