I give it an ok rating. It is real authentic Mexican food for me it just wasn’t flavorful enough and my pork was very fatty and hard to chew. I just wanted some tasty tacos and they were really just ok. I really love some food truck tacos but these just seemed to lack flavor. The meat was kind of dry too. The chips are very hard and the salsa was soooo hot one drop was insane and I love spicy stuff, it was more like a hot sauce. The workers are very friendly and packaged our food up really nicely packaged for take out.

I love this place, the staff is super friendly and they always have great authentic food and great sauces too it’s very similar to the taco truck by the laundry Mat, but it’s more family style sit down which is nice.

Would have given a 5 star but I ordered a taco combo that was 3 tacos. I received 2 tacos that was the lunch special. 1 dollar difference so not a big deal. I had the carne asada which was average but good and one with carnitas and this was delicious. Lots of meat with the cilantro onion and radish. Rice and beans good. I had this order to go or I’m sure they would have made order right given the oportunity. Counter help was very pleasant and efficient. I will go back again they have really great items to choose from.

Great authentic food. My husband is Mexican and it’s his go to comfort food in the country! Inexpensive with good portions. Salsa verde is awesome.

The lunch special runs $ 5.99($ 6.48 incl tax), comes with two tacos on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro, rice, beans with cotija, the fixings(lime, radish, grilled jalapeño, fried onions, selection of salsas at your table), and a can of soda, all placed before you in less than five minutes. You cannot beat this! Next to Five Guys. Closed Mondays.

Best mexican food I have had in a long time! Super authentic(watch out the side sauces are quite hot) We were the only white people there but it was packed. Friendly service, large portions. Just go you won’t regret it.

LaBamba is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Monroe. Located in a little strip mall lined with 3 other restaurants I wasn’t too sure about what to expect in terms of quality and authenticity. Boy was I surprised! The carne asada is perfectly seared quality meat served with handmade tortillas — seriously when do you find hand made tortillas at a Mexican restaurant. The ceviche de camaron rocks. Street tacos and sopas are awesome! I look forward to trying other items on their menu. If it’s anything like what our family has tried so far I expect it to be delicious!

I actually parked here to have a burger at Five Guys next door, but noticed that this taqueria was packed with Mexican families, work crews, couples, and when the pretty girl came out to water the flours the smell made me veer away from the burger chain and WOW am I ever glad! These are without question the best tacos I have had north of San Diego, and better than many of the SD shops. The chicken, two kinds of pork(pulled and chopped) were amazing — garnished with fresh cilantro and served with store made green chili and red salsas. The tacos are garnished with a grilled jalepeno, scallion, and sliced raw radish — which will be added to my own tacos at home as they are fantastic accents. I like to fish the Skykomish River and you can bet I will stop for tacos every time I am in the area during business hours.

By far the best place my wife and I have been to! We went earlier in the week during lunch time and it got busy pretty quick, we were having trouble deciding since everything looks delicious a young lady at the counter was very inviting, friendly, and overall helpful. We decided to go with tacos combo which consisted of two corn soft tacos with rice and beans on the side, very flavorful and the salsas that come along with your meal are all delicious as well, we will be back again soon!

While the restaurant is nicer than the Mt Vernon location, the food isn’t quite as good. The carne tacos weren’t as flavorful and tender. The deep friend tortillas that came with the avocado dip(which is delicious according to my guacamole-loving husband) had pools of grease on them we had to blot off. That should have been done in the kitchen. The counter staff of young women wasn’t very friendly. We happened to arrive when their credit card machine was broken so they were cash only. Our view of the door saw that a lot of people read the sign on their door and turned around and left. It was okay, but since Monroe isn’t that close to me, I think I’d drive to Mount Vernon if I am craving their food.

Best quesadillas in Monroe. From food trucks to sit down restaurants, they take first place. The quality is great and the service too!

Truly authentic Mexican food. There are 2 taco trucks and this place in Monroe that know how to do Mexico proud by the food they serve.

The most authentic Mexican food I’ve found in this state, so far! Their spicy pork tacos are amazing. Everything I’ve had there tastes exactly like my friend’s mom just made it — awesome. It’s always a good sign when you walk into a place like that, and all of the customers are Latin. I’ve never actually stayed there to eat, only gotten stuff to go. They package it very thoughtfully so nothing drips, they put cellophane on the bottom of the plates, so nothing leaks through. When’s the last time you got Mexican food to go and there wasn’t salsa everywhere?! The answer is never. But if you go here, they’ll make sure you have no mess! Extremely delicious food, and the staff is very friendly, helpful and sweet. It’s worth the drive to Monroe — I live in Redmond — we still come once a week!

My favorite taqueria joint around. Consistently great food with a killer sauce selection brought to your table. (not in greasy bottles I’ll add) FYIDONOT underestimate the sauce that looks a bit like salsa, it packs some heat. Don’t be like me and slap a spoonful on your taco your first taste haha. It’s a very clean place with a good vibe and friendly staff, not the most talkative(maybe I should learn Spanish) but definitely not rude. But like most of the other taco places I’ve been to, you will most likely have to endure a little Mexican soap opera or «Judge Maria». Haha.

The food here is great. When they give you your food, you are presented four bowls of sauce. Some of them are ridiculously hot. I love that. Service is, however, very slow. I’ve never eaten here without sitting there thinking, ‘Man, my food should have been here by now.” I keep coming back though so put that into perspective.

There are a lot of taquerias out there that serve run-of-the-mill food: not bad but nothing special, nothing memorable. Taqueria La Bamba is not one of these places. Upon recommendation from a friend, I stopped here with my parents on our way back from a day hike in the Cascades. My friend recommended we try the huaraches, so my parents ordered those. I saw pollo con mole on the menu and decided to try that. The staff offered me a taste of the mole first and it was delicious. I really loved the whole meal, as it’s rare to find homemade mole and homemade tortillas. If I lived a little closer, I would go back more often. If you live nearby, go here! The food is delicious, service is excellent and the portions generous. Enjoy!
