Our party of four ate here on our last night of our week in Montauk, and this was our favorite place all week. When we arrived at 6:30 on a weeknight, we were practically the only ones there, but it did get more full later on. The menu is a bit pricey, but we all got the price fixe and that was truly a bargain. I had the cod chowder, the pork chops, and the vanilla bean ice cream, all of which were awesome. The others in my party had the salad(HUGE!) or the lamb meatball for appetizers, the vegetarian or the salmon for main dish, and the zeppolis or sorbet for dessert. My sister and I had martinis, and my sister-in-law had a sprite which they put in a nice mason jar. We all loved everything. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We did hear that they would be doing away with the price fixe during the summer season, and IMHO that would be a big mistake. Hope to come back here when we visit again next summer!

Amazing and by far the best restaurant in Montauk. Excellent food, generous portions, presented beautifully and friendly staff. And all the little things were great; nice décor and ambience, great bar area, and excellent bread and unique spreads to go with them. Can’t wait to come back

Fantastic food and service. COD and seared scallops were super tasty. Lamb meatball and crab cake were wonderful. Kids had chicken fingers which were extremely good. Wonderful décor and well lit inside. Highly recommend.

We have been coming out to Montauk for over twenty years and we have seen many changes. We are always anxious to try new places and so we decided on Muse for our first weekend out for the season. We checked out the menu and found it to be a bit pricey. Then we noticed a 3 course $ 30 price fix menu available all nights. I checked the times and made sure to make our reservation at 6:00(since it ended at 6:30 on Saturday). There was absolutely no mention of them not offering the menu on holiday weekends. When we arrived and were seated, we received the menu and noticed it was missing the price fix. I asked the hostess for the price fix menu and she said that it wasn’t being offered on holiday weekends. We asked our server and was given the same response. I mentioned that it does not say that on the website and that it would be appropriate to honor what the website says. They declined. I thought that this was very bad business. To be fair, the waitstaff was lovely and the food was good but I will never go back on principle. Sad but true!

We ate here for dinner last night. The décor is fresh and the staff is very welcoming — loved the lights with the old fashioned bulbs. I had the pork chops, they were unlike any pork chops I’ve had before — thin cut, but full of flavor! My boyfriend had the swordfish and had nothing, but good things to say about the Cajun flavor. The drinks were made well — we tried their rum punch which came served in a mason jar with fresh fruit. Finished with the zeppoles that came with three dipping sauces. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

The food was amazing and it had a wonderful atmosphere. The entire staff was very friendly our waitress Bianca was very nice and the manager Kevin comes around to see how things are going I had the grilled pork chop & apple sauce over cabbage and carrot mixture it was just amazing. My wife had the Greek chicken piccata that was spectacular. The presentation of the The dishes was also first class The salads we had look like a work of art and they tasted as good as they look We are definitely coming back again. You must try this place if you were out in Montauk

I passed by when I was exploring the area. Seeing the menu with a prix fixe menu, and knowing where it was, I decided to have dinner here. I was seated next to the most annoying couple who acted like ordering food was buying a house, but that’s another story. They have a 3 course prix fixe menu for $ 30. Starter, entrée, dessert. Can’t really go wrong when everything is pretty pricey. I chose Greek lamb meatball as my app, Tomato Crusted Scottish Salmon Scallopini for entrée, & zeppoles as my dessert. Meatball was great, tender and tasty. Salmon was very good although I didn’t really get the tomato encrusted part. It was very fresh and well cooked salmon. The side it came with was a star on its own. It consisted of brussel sprouts, white beans, and other stuff. It was sooo delish. The zeppoles had 3 dipping sauces, caramel, raspberry, and vanilla. Fave was vanilla. Yummo. Everything was great and the staff was friendly. Loved my waitress. Great deal and great food. Will definitely return if I’m in town.

Went for some wine and apps. Ended up meeting and chatting with locals. A very nice bar with a fun crowd. Tread lightly and you will be rewarded. Will be back!

Our original plan was to go to Harvest but 90 minute wait for a bistro table was insane so our party of 4 decided to try Muse. It’s a 5 minute walk down the block. Well thank God Harvest is so overrated and too busy. This place is great. Food was excellent and service was spot on. Zeppolis for dessert. Yes please. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I went to Muse last night. It was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We sat at the bar and the bartender Chris was very nice and answered all our questions. I had the mussels appetizer with artichoke hearts. All I can say is DELICIOUS. Crusty bread to soak in the juice, plump mussels, sweet artichoke hearts, scallions. I didn’t even finish it and had to take it back to our hotel y husband loves lobster mac and cheese so he tried the scallop mac and cheese. He said it was the best thing he has ever had. He even ran his finger in the empty bowl to get a last taste of the sauce. Then he has the shrimp and grits. That was creamy, cheesy grits with perfectly grilled spicy shrimp. Need I say more? Whatever you do, leave room for dessert. We shared the cheese cake chimicharo and the beignets with three sauces. The vanilla sauce was the best. We are definitely going back.

I took a last minute getaway to Montauk by myself and with my one night dinner choice, I couldn’t have been happier it was spent at Muse @ the End. When I first walked in, I admittedly felt the warm/friendly atmosphere and was welcomed from the staff and General Manager Kevin Gomez. I decided to go with the Prix Fixe Menu(Three Courses for $ 30) You can’t beat that! I choose the Greek Lamb Meatball for the appetizer, Pork Chops and Apple Sauce for the entrée, and if I somehow still had room for dessert I relived my childhood with Grandma G’s Zeppoles. With each bite, you felt the love that when behind each dish. When you find a hidden gem in Montauk, your entire experience changes! Make sure to add this restaurant to your Montauk itinerary.

Perfect addition to Montauk… Last minute decision to go during our off-season weekend and what a GREAT decision it was! Food was delicious(I had short rib and BF had Ahi Tuna). Waitress was great with recommendations, place is adorable — perfect mix of romantic and fun. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Had high expectations going in but it turned out to be just OK. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable, very clean. Lighting and music were perfect. Menu is a little light Not many options for food or drink. We’re not big on alcohol or wine so we were stuck with getting water. We ordered two NY steaks, one with potatoes and one with truffle fries. Two pieces of bread came out with a nice side of butter, olive oil and a zesty/spicy dip. They were OK. The steaks were just OK. The appearance was phenomenal. Nice flavor, but a little fatty. I would think at $ 45 a plate that we would get an exceptional piece of meat, but not really. The potatoes and truffle fries looked great as well, but fella little short on taste. Not bad, but much less than I was expecting. Damage was 108 for two plates with no drinks and a chocolate cake desert. Nothing special on the desert either, sort of like a Dominos lava cake and a side of cool whip dribbled with chocolate syrup on a nice plate. Not worthy of the $ 10 dollars we paid. Bottom line — beautiful atmosphere with average food that is set up to look like a lot more than it is. Two stars seems a little harsh, they get three for the outstanding atmosphere and beautiful appearance of the dishes. I will return and give it another try as I think it was maybe just an off night for us.

I’ve been trying to go to this place the whole summer, since July 4th weekend and finally came with my Mom last weekend(late August). This place is a complete winner compared to many other restaurants I’ve been to out in Montauk, claiming to have the BEST and freshest seafood. We sat outside near Budda Berry Frozen Yogurt — building is shared. Our waitress was also one of the bartenders and was very helpful finding a German white wine that went spectacularly well with our meal. To start, we had the mixed seafood cake which was to die for. Great flavor, presentation and taste! They serve rolls with a few different butter pates in between appetizers and the main event. I ordered the Jerked Local Sea Bass, crusted with Caribbean spices and the fish cooked perfectly. Mom had the Tomato Crusted Scottish Salmon Scallopini which was mouthwatering. We tried both dishes and couldn’t let any go to waste. A few things that was a bit disappointing included that the coffee was cold and it took over fifteen minutes to hunt someone down to get the check though it was not busy.

Muse is a rather new restaurant, their first season open and overall I was impressed. After having 815 reservations at Harvest– waiting 30 minutes and no end in sight, we walked to Muse. I had considered going here in the first place– but the way the menu read was awkward. Wordy and strange. Font doesn’t match atmosphere or their logo at all. Menu does not set the stage for $$$$ pricing or how good the food is… This is the only drawback I can see with this place. Staff was SUPER friendly and attentive. Our waitress was great and support team always smiling!!! Place is beautiful. Cocktails and wine yum and food was delicious!!! I was surprised there was no pasta offered for a main course. But we found some delicious options and enjoyed. The fried oysters beyond delicious and wonderful scallop entrée. The pea purée was amazing. All and all great place to have wonderful food.

Not sure who left pervious reviews, owners family? Or Staff? Or people who are just not familiar with food or this location. First off, last year this time«the coast» was in this location. «The coast» was the business that renovated this building and made the inside awesome looking. And they had great food as well. Why they sold no idea but on to «muse» I heard some good things so on our first night here we tried it out. Has the mussles, fresh but not very good. The app should of been called bean and caned artichoke with mussels. And they topped it off with shaved cheese. Yea cheese and mussels. Anyway, had the fish cake, it was ok, nothing special, and the kids mac and cheese was ok as well. Had the sword fish for dinner. It was almost as thin as a flounder. And it was way over cooked, it was drowned in sauce so u couldn’t even taste the chewy fish. Wife had the bass, was bland and just not what we hoped for. Also the menu was not put together very well, this place needs a new chef and manager, to get it right. On the bright side the fish was fresh, service was friendly and good, and the drinks were strong. I wish«the coast» was still there.

Excellent Sunday brunch experience! What a stunningly beautiful restaurant. I can’t believe what they did with this space, I was almost sure it was a complete teardown of the previous restaurant, but the hostess insisted it was not. The only giveaway was the bathroom door, that’s the only item I could find in the whole restaurant that looked like it wasn’t brand new(of course, I notice that kinda thing). Getting past the top notch makeover, let’s move onto the food. First off, let me say that the myriad of new culinary choices in Montauk is overwhelming. One weekend is simply not enough time to sample everything; in fact, 4 of the 5 meals my wife and I enjoyed this past weekend, were at new spots. And if we use the Sunday brunch we ate at Muse as our barometer(and also trust that the Montauk location can keep up with the SH location we love so much), then we will need to spend some more time here — and definitely get dinner and drinks at the gorgeous bar. I wholeheartedly enjoyed the omelet of the day, a Western. It was massively portioned, I didn’t eat anything until dinner, and even then I was barely hungry. It was served with a huge portion of home fries and an English muffin. The cheese was fresh and melty, nice big chunks of ham and peppers, fluffy eggs. Not dried out but not runny or gooey. Just the way I like ‘em. The coffee was delicious. Fresh and hot, served with steamed milk and every kind of sugar you want, including my personal favorite sugar in the raw. My wife didn’t like the first thing she ordered. Not a problem, they took it back, pulled it from the bill and immediately brought her something else. And she admittedly acknowledged that there really wasn’t anything wrong with her first guess, it was just not quite what she expected. It was a grilled naan pizza with artichokes and hummus. I tried it and thought it was good, she was just expecting less hummus and more toasty bread, but rather it was like a pita. No harm, no foul, they replaced it with a bucket of wings and she was a happy camper. Even I managed to chow down on one, despite leveling my omelet minutes before. They were crispy and tender, as they should be. The service was friendly, courteous and quick, neither my water glass nor my coffee were ever empty. And I’ve already made it clear how gorgeously appointed it is, and as with any good restaurant in a seasonal town, the outside covered patio seating is great. We will certainly be back to experience more of what Muse has to offer.

What a great last dinner in Montauk. My friends are hard to please when it comes to dining out and we were all thoroughly impressed. Boyfriend got the lamb chops and almost kicked the plate clean. I did the same for the jerk striped bass and our friend guzzled down a good 25 – 30 mussels. The service was great and the ambiance is impeccable. 6 Minute walk from the born free. I have literally Nothing bad to say about Muse.

This place is expensive. Now once you get that out of the way the place is a five star restaurant no doubt about it. Great atmosphere– the interior is very nice and it has an outdoor vibe without actually having to sit outside. Great mood lighting ties it all together. It did get a bit noisy around 9pm when the place was packed. Mainly due to a large table of people enjoying several bottles of delicious wine. Spectacular Service– Our waitress was very friendly and very patient even though she was servicing many tables. Was also very patient with our ordering and multiple attempts at ordering. Fantastic Food– the food was terrific. I had the striped bass which was some of the best prepared fish I’ve had out here. My girlfriend had the cod which was also terrific and tasted extremely fresh. We had a nice bottle of wine and it was the cheapest on the menu but still very good. We finished with vanilla ice cream with fresh fruit. Good size portions for everything. Did not walk away hungry. We will back again for sure.
