My family visits Montauk every year in June, and we’ve been to O’Murphy’s a couple of times when it was in town, and then a couple of times after it moved to its current location. It’s always okay, never great. One of the main reasons we return is because my sister likes the duck, and she seemed happy with her meal this visit. My sister-in-law and I had the shrimp scampi, which was tasty but a bit overcooked. Another sister had fish. The waitress was running around like crazy all evening, trying to service all the tables, and I give her a lot of credit! But overall there were other restaurants in Montauk that we enjoy a bit more.

Host was very warm, funny and welcoming; we were seated immediately. Service was a little slow, but understandable because the restaurant was packed. Their margaritas were great, and my burger was delicious. For desert I ordered the ice cream with the warm brownie on the bottom and it was sooooo good! Great prices.

All I have to say is I’m coming back here as soon as possible. Found this place on a Thursday afternoon in March and could not have felt more at home. The bartender Liz was very friendly and helpful, and the food was awesome. My friend got the fried chicken and I had the fish and chips. Both came out timely, warm and deeelicious. Prices totally fair. Not much seems open on the off season in Montauk and since we only came for 3 days finding something as cute and welcoming as O’Murphys definitely made our trip. We actually came BACK the same night for dinner. Definitely a busier vibe, and we missed Liz! Our server was decent(had to ask for my soup and salad to go since it never came but that was the only mishap) and the Chicken Piccata was gone in seconds it was so good. Long story short, I’m thrilled this place is still open and I had a chance to stop by. I’m a 4 ½ hour drive away but my friends and I will definitely be coming again.

Nice friendly place. The Guinness is great. What more do you need? Salmon was delicious.

We come out to Montauk twice a year and a visit to O’Murphy’s is always on our itinerary. We love their fish and steak entrees and their burgers can’t be beat. The servers are friendly and the O’Murphy’s are great hosts.

ThIs place was so nice for a pub bar. Service was really good and food was great bar food. We ran out of fire wood and tried to buy some and they gave us an entire box o the house. Great people, support local business :)

Spent New Years Eve with a group of friends and had one of the worst dinners. The mussels had to be sent back, they were terrible, We all took one and had to spit it out. the food was substandard. The service was not that good the waitress was ok personality wise. The only thing that we enjoyed was the drinks. We will not be going back to this restaurant and recommend to STAYAWAY.

Visiting from out of town, was very disappointed. Overpriced, mediocre food. Service was OK at best. Do not recommend.

We totally enjoyed our meal tonight at O’Murphy’s. The food was well prepared, delicious, not overly expensive and plentiful. Sunday through Thursday, they have a Prix Fixe menu(in addition to their regular menu) for $ 21.95 with a nice selection of entrées. I had the baby back ribs; hubby had the Yankee pot roast. Everything was great! Additionally, our server, Jackie, was efficient, personable and sweet. We will definitely be back. O’Murphy’s is a gem.

Let me start by saying I have eaten here before when it was up in town and the food was good and price was also. This was the first time I was there since their move to West Lake Drive. Guinness was good and a nice pour. My wife had a chicken panini with roasted peppers, avocado and mozzarella cheese. Sandwich was on a roll not toasted like you would expect a panini to be, no roasted peppers and a tiny sliver of chicken. I had the chicken pot pie. It was served in a onion soup bowl and was not creamy like any normal chicken pot pie but a tomatoey base. These were both lunch specials. Oh we also had potato skins all four of them not worth $ 11.99 by any stretch. Disappointed but live and learn.

This was our time and we were extremely surprised at how pleasant every one was. I had the salmon special with mashed potatoes and my wife had the ribs and baked potato and she loved it. Now the draw back was they would not honor the wed site special price of two for33.00 dollar said have not had that for over one year. They should have taken that off their site. The desert wasa very small portion and said that was because it was included in the special price I think that was not a right thing to do. But all that said we would probably go there again.

Food was ok we came for the mussels and they where good, I had a BLT and the bread was hard as a rock, the rest of the group said it was ok, they also need to hire some wait staff that can do the job, service was just short of lousy, I’m thinking this is what it’s going to be like when we go to no tipping.

Food was amazing. Honestly for pub food wasn’t expecting much– but the food was great. They were understaffed and the staffers probably could have helped each other out more, and hustled a little bit better… but our waitress was getting it done. Not too conversational as she was severely busy but pleasant and she didn’t miss a beat. The wait was long but I think because the turnover was pretty slow & the food took a while to come out. But the meal surprised me-I wasn’t expecting much– and the service gets a thumbs up.

Went with my girlfriends family ordered a couple of burgers and sodas. Water had mold floating at the bottom of it. We were the only people in the whole restaurant and it still took about an 45 mins. Overall bad

I have actually never in my life experienced worse service at a restaurant. The owner should be absolutely ashamed of themselves to get someone who is normally patient and kind to service workers to be screaming at them in the middle of their own restaurant, then have the nerve to come over to the table and scold us. I’m surprised this place even has any stars and I will never EVER return here again. I will also make sure that no friends and family give this place business either.

Good food and friendly staff. Love seafood but need a change after a few days. O’Murphys provided a perfect change of venue.

We were sad to see that they were gone when we went to the old location but did a little research and found out that they moved next to the Tipperary inn in montauk harbor. The new location is a lot bigger with outdoor seating which was nice. Food was just as good as the old location.

I only gave this place 1 star so I could write a review. I would give this place zero stars. We came in a large group for a bachelorette party and we were told the wait would be 30 – 40 minutes. After over 45 minutes of waiting we asked again and they said«10 – 15 minutes if you sit separately or another half hour if we sit together. We agreed to sit separately and were finally seated after waiting over an hour. The waitress was extremely pleasant and took our orders. We then waited over 45 minutes for our food to come and one of us complained about the wait. One table of our group got their food and finished eating before we even got our food. Another group came in after us but were seated together, before us at a very large table. The owner then came over and very nastily yelled at us saying«I’m sorry but you didn’t really wait that long. It was only an extra 15 minutes than normal and we were really inundated with customers. She yelled at us for about 5 minutes for complaining and insisted that the other group came in before us. I could not believe how she spoke to us. She clearly does not value our business and we will never go back again

We had the lamb stew and the fried chicken lunch special. Both were okay. Fried chicken was nothing special, but good and good portion. Crisp and delicious fries. Lamb stew with brown bread was exactly what I wanted it to be. Lots of lamb pieces, lots of carrots and potatoes and a tasty brown gravy. Used the bf’s fries to dunk in the gravy. Great, hearty meal. Wait stuff was nice enough. If I wasn’t in the mood for seafood in Montauk, I’d come here to eat.
