Basically the worst pizza I have ever had. I’m from Chicago. I know I have high expectations. But for $ 15 for a half cheese/half pep, I would expect better than Pizza Hut quality. The cheese stated like it had freezer burn. The pizza was so bland. I would much prefer to spend the same amount and eat at Dominos. Sad times. I wonder where I’ll be able to get decent pizza in this town?

They gave us the wrong pizza for our party, they would not make it right… Total greedy crooks, avoid this dump if you value your integrity!!!

First of all, I gave them an extra star because I LOVE their food. But I would have given them one because the service was terrible. I got on the phone to have wings and breadsticks delivered to my apartment, and the first girl who answered gave the phone to someone else to complete my order. Not once did she make it seem like she couldn’t understand me, so I don’t know what that was about. Now, I understand if the next part was my fault, but it shouldn’t have turned out the way it did. I completed my order, and realized I wasn’t satisfied with the amount of food I was asking for, and asked my husband if he would have rather have more wings than breadsticks, and he said«yes». I called back exactly 3 minutes later to have my order modified. The girl who answered was the same girl I got off the phone with, and when I told her I wanted to modify the order, she went for the supervisor, who took 5 minutes to get on the line. I told her I wanted a 24 pc. wings instead of the original 12, and 6 bread sticks instead of 12. She continued to tell me «Well, let me talk with my cook to see if the breadsticks are already in.» She got on the line and said they were already being prepared and that there was nothing she could do. I don’t know if I believe her entirely, because they said it should take almost an hour for my food to get here. I live less than 10 minutes away, and if this was the case, then my food should take less time to get here, considering they got it in the oven as fast as they did(within 5 minutes after the first call). And then, she tried to get me to pay for both a 24 pc. wings AND a 12 pc. breadsticks, which, quite frankly coming from RT, is WAY too much money. I’m guessing she was lying to get me off her back, especially since she was a bit snappy when I asked her to change my order. I understand I should have had my order ready from the get-go, but there really isn’t any way I can get it changed? Isn’t the customer always right? Is there no way they can give half of my breadsticks to the next customer and then double my wings? If she wasn’t snappy, I wouldn’t be complaining.

Service: 0 of 5 Food: 2 of 5 Ordered online for delivery, estimated delivery time was an hour and 5 minutes. After waiting the full 65 minutes we finally called to check on the delivery. The girl on the phone thought we were another order that was late but told us the driver was leaving soon with both orders. If the delivery guy had at least been apologetic or offered an explanation it probably wouldn’t have bothered me as much(that he was late), but on top of that the twists were of lower quality than the chains in San Diego(over cooked and dry). Wings were okay. Would not order from THIS location again.

Round Table has always been my favorite pizza. I grew up in Palo Alto with the original one. I was deterred from eating here for the first 9 months of living here because of the reviews. I finally tried it and it has been fantastic ever since so I thought I must give it some love on Unilocal. They don’t deliver to my neighborhood but it is worth the pick up, I am so happy to be reunited with my favorite pizza. I love the pizza sauce!

Service: 4 stars, food: 4 stars, I ordered two salad buffet plates and one personal veggie pizza for my son. The lady at the counter was helpful, checking up on us, and even greeted us when we left. That’s unusual for round table. The personal veggie pizza is one of the best I have eaten. It was crisp and there were so many veggies on the it, I ate up what my son could not finish. The salad bar was reasonably stocked, given it’s a buffet and we are talking Round Table Pizza, and not your super expensive, gourmet place. One area of improvement I would like to suggest is to label the pizza slices that are part of the buffet as vegetarian/meat based. Since this was not done, we vegetarians ingested a little bit of Chicken.

Wow, haven’t had round table in Monterey for several years until tonight. Pizza was just as good as it was years ago. The staff was very nice and the food was ready for pick up exactly as stated.

Ridiculously slow delivery, and MUCH later than promised. We ordered a pizza for delivery tonight. According to the order page and the confirmation email, it was supposed to be delivered at 8:15, an hour after we ordered it, which is already amazingly slow for pizza delivery by most standards. We called at 8:25, and they told us that according to their computers, it wasn’t promised until 8:28. The pizza finally arrived at 9:00, nearly two hours after we ordered. This is simply by far the worst pizza delivery I’ve ever seen anywhere. DONOTORDERPIZZAFORDELIVERYFROMTHISLOCATION.

Great customer service, but a very uncomfortable place to eat. The place looks super dirty and ugly. Flies are everywhere! All over the pizza and if you move tables, the flies follow. We didnt enjoy our pizza at all. Waste of money and time. We left taking the pizza in a box, this place ruined my lunch. Horrible!

Lets be honest, people. It’s great for what it is. If you want a relaxed environment, good deals for kids($ 4.99 personal pizza & kids drink), & a $ 7.99 lunch buffet that includes a drink, a nice salad bar(my 1 yr old was in heaven with baby carrots, corn, olives, beans, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs & more), breadsticks, & about 4 different kinds of pizza that included one with loads of veggies & fresh artichokes(which I love), then this is the place for you. If you want 5 star dining, then you shouldn’t be hitting up a fast food pizza joint. Easily better than Dominos, Pelican Pizza, or even Papa Johns, which had previously been a favorite. My kids LOVED their pan crust bacon pizzas(yes, they wanted bacon), the manager was very friendly & accommodating, & you don’t find prices or selection like this anywhere else in this area. Especially when you figure in the drinks($ 3 at Gianni’s, anyone?). We used to drop $ 30 just on pizza at Gianni’s, & we all had to get the same thing & no drinks to hover around the $ 30 mark(so someone was always upset that they didn’t get what they want). Here a family of 5(2 kids, 2 adults, & a baby) can eat whatever pizza they want, plus a salad and a drink, for less than that price(~$ 27). This place just got some new lunch regulars. :)

Meh! It wasn’t awful. The servers seemed uniterested in our being there, and they seemed less interested if we were happy. Every time they would walk around they would keep their head down and not make eye contact. My family seems to like this place, so that why we keep coming back. The food however did come out quick. I will give them that. And we drank beer, so we had a good time regardless. This place wasn’t horrible, so I would tell people to come here. I just bet they wont get good service!

I have ordered delivery from this pizza joint numerous times and I always get hot, delicious pizza delivered within a reasonable amount if time — typically 40 – 50 minutes, but tonight it only took 25 minutes(which was surprising considering I placed the order on a Friday night at 6pm)! The prices are a bit high, but that is not uncommon for the area. If you are seeking a recommendation, try the gourmet veggie — I’m typically a pepperoni type of gal, but the gourmet veggie always hits the spot and is much more of a hit(surprisingly) with guests than any meat topping from here.

First time I ordered was for a delivery. The little girl who answered the phone was RUDERUDERUDE. She kept saying«HUH… what???» So I said, «Um I am just going to cancel my order» and she replies with, «well once I put the order in we can’t cancel it.» So I talked to the manager and he gets on all grumpy and does this exaggerated sigh. So we decided to try dine in: Salad bar had fruit flies flying around it. The ice was all melted so everything was floating in dirty water. All the containers were low or empty. Our meal was EXPENSIVE. They had like 1 person working there. And they just seemed unprofessional. I don’t think they should be acting like they’re working at some top notch restaurant but lets not act like we’re at the school cafeteria either. The pizza wasn’t half bad so I gave it one more star.

I thought it was pretty good. Probably a little on the more expensive side. I thought the location and sitting outside was nice. We got a regular medium with pepperoni. The pepperoni was large & kind of different but very good. It’s obviously a chain, delivery pizza with some eat in locations but solid. Very solid!

Oh round table. I always get the itch for you. For an original crust pepperoni crispy with extra sauce. Unfortunately, I can’t see you any more. Your sauciness has faded. I can’t remember the last time you were hot. I need to get a piece somewhere else. The round table in pacific grove closed. Whoever owns the franchise rights in Monterey now has double the volume going through one restaurant. Whoever this Mensa member is, they haven’t increased staffing. Deliveries can take an hour and a half and be cold, the place is always dirty, and it’s hard not to feel sorry for the three employees dealing with the crowds. Normally good pizza, but whoever runs this location deserves to not be in the business. Sell your franchise, or at least pull your head out of your a$$.

Prices and pizza quality are OK. The location is pretty convenient has lots of distractions for kids(which can be a good and a bad thing). The 1 feature I liked about this location is that the front dining room is set away from all the TVs and video games, for families that just want to eat their food without going into an epileptic seizure(like if you had chosen the video game/TV riddled back room). The problem I had with this place was the neophyte staff members. Firstly, the employee who took our order was like seriously bothered that we were asking questions like, «How much would it cost to get a 1-topping large pizza?» Simple question? No, because he had to explain all these intricacies about 3 different kinds of pepperoni. Anyway, we ended up with our pizza with bread twisty things. The pizza arrived at our table promptly. The place was dead when we were there, except 1 other patron. He left and the employees took about 20 minutes to clean the table(which was not at all dirty, just a few plates) and they did it in like 5 stretches because he was so busy staring at his phone to get anything productive done. I regretted leaving my tip before we got our pizza, but I made them earn it by allowing my tiny mess-making kids’ messes to remain all over the table and floor. It just really bothers me when people are texting or social networking or playing video games while at work– it’s a pet peeve. Anyway, it was annoying, but my kids gobbled the pizza up. Hm. PASS.

I used to love going to Round Table for Pizza almost as much as Gianni’s, ok not quite. But I do remember playing video games here as a kid and loved the pizza. I hadn’t had them forever so I stopped in today for a slice. The young man behind the counter was lovely and accomodating. I had ten minutes to kill to relax and skim though my Bön Apetit magazine so I checked out theri $ 6.99 buffet that is available until 8pm(good deal if you are hungry I guess) but although the salad bar didn’t look bad the pizzas looked cold. I did have an individual slice of pizza but it didn’t taste like the pizza that I had in the past(which I miss), the sauce was a bit sweeter and the crust was super fluffy and almost not cooked through. I devoured the cheese(after pat drying it, you know you do it, you know take the grease off with paper naplins) and sauce portion and left the crust and most of what was beneath the sauce. Weird and gross I know. The dough was naturally too sweet for me… I could have the sworn the crust were a bit more mellower and thinner(not thin but also not blown up to over an inch) back in the day. Oh… back in the day… The good old days.
