What a disgusting, shameful place of business. I purchased a Groupon for this restaurant on August 15. I just walked by Bellagio’s tonight, and they were out of business. The eviction notice on the door was dated September 18; with the required advanced notice and warnings, that means that Bellagio’s knew they were going out of business when the Groupon ran. I can’t get over how shady this business is, to take the Groupon money and run.

Very interesting… Groupon is selling Bellagio Pizzeria Deals right now… I drove by today and they were closed… it looked like for good. Too bad for the 180 that just bought the deal… I guess they forgot to tell Groupon that they are«finito».

I also bought a groupon for Bellagio. They were not open when we went to use the coupon, despite the posted hours showing that they should have been open. We called multiple times and got no answer, and even went back a couple hours later thinking that maybe there was some kind of schedule miscommunication. We were in Monterey from out of town for a weekend and unfortunately tried this place on our last day in town, leaving us no chance to redeem our groupon. I can’t speak for the food or service, but when I saw that somebody else had the same problem I thought I would confirm the review with our experience.

A real dive. The service is good, and they have vegan cheese and gluten free pizza dough, but the place is old, divey, and the food is low quality.

Gluten Free menu is a lie. They don’t ever have the supplies to make gluten free food. Also, they over charge by rounding up to the next even dollar. If you are looking for a great gluten free meal, look some where else.

Pros — the pizza smelled good Cons — rude staff, lies about gluten-free options, dirty tables, overcharging for soda This was the most disappointing experience I’ve EVER had in a pizza place. My friends and I were very excited about their ‘gluten-free’ menu, as one of my best friends is allergic to gluten. Just to make sure, we called ahead the evening before, told them we’d have six people there, and asked if they would have their gluten-free options for the next night. They assured us that they would, and we were very excited. We showed up to the place and were a little taken aback by the table that was available for our group — covered in dead flies. The overall interior looked a little shady and dirty. We weren’t looking for a restaurant experience or anything, but we WERE looking for a clean place to eat some gluten-free pizza. We brushed the flies off ourselves and ordered four sodas and some water while we waited for our gluten-free friends to arrive. They showed up and asked for the gluten-free options, and were told promptly that there weren’t any. You can imagine our disappointment — this was the ONLY reason we’d chosen this place! We told him that we called ahead specifically for this but he didn’t seem willing to investigate at all. We asked for our tab for the four sodas and he told us it would be $ 10! For FOUR sodas! He knocked it down to $ 8(still over the menu price, but he probably knew we wouldn’t be coming back and was trying to milk us for all we would give him). Thankfully, it was a Farmer’s Market day, so we were able to get some food there. But I will NEVER go back again. If I could give less than a star, I would.

I would give it a zero if I could. They claim to be open late. Just try calling after 11:00pm and see what I mean. No answer! I have tried multiple days in a row, because I work the night shift, and I assure you they consistently do not answer :(

I couldn’t tell you if this food was good or not because I tried calling multiple times and no one answered. FAIL

What’s not to like? Pizza until 4AM. Couldn’t find anything else opened that would serve rather quickly to drunks needing food. While they did serve us quickly, the people after us complained about how long it took. The crust wasn’t bad and they warmed it up like we asked. Not cheap, but not complaining at 3AM. I’ve spent way more on other 24 hr eateries.

Bad service, worse pizza. Pass on this place until they get their act together. Delivery service is bad and always late. The prices are ridiculous when compared with surrounding pizzerias. Pizza is average at best. They are only in business because of the late business hours.

They claim to have the best pizza in Monterey. That is debatable, however. I had just one slice since I was only semi-hungry.It was $ 3.25 for a slice of pepperoni. The slice was a decent size. The crust was very good. The pizza itself was just alright. The guy working there seemed to be having a miserable time even though the place was empty and there was not much to do.

Their pizza is inexpensive and delicious! Gives me a 10% discount for ordering frequently, always quick delivery.

Came home late last night and knew as it ticked closer to nine my food options were waning. It was too tired to cook and and definitely didn’t want to leave my house again. Thank goodness for Bellagio! Open very late, till 2:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and 4:00 a. m Thursday through Saturday. With limited late-night options for delivery in Monterey, Bellagio has come to my rescue many a times. I’m not always sure what to expect when I call in an order. One time there was no answer, another time the guy kept cutting me off before I finished my order and last night they forgot the extra ranch dressing I requested. They always get the bulk of my order right and I’m usually starving by the time the food arrives so I’m pretty happy. The pizza here is mediocre but hits the spot everytime for me. I’ve tried their specialty pizzas but tend to like my own creations. The last few times I’ve ordered the mozzarella cheese pizza with feta cheese, basil and roma tomatoes. Got a side order of the fried zucchini last night and really enjoyed them. Lighted breaded zucchini dippers with marinara sauce and ranch dressing. I’m pretty happy with Bellagio and will continue to turn to them for my late-night munchee rescue.

Going for a late night drive to get our babygirl to sleep(having one of those nights). We got hungry so i got on Unilocal and searched for anything open at 1am. Bellagio popped up but we were debating because of other reviews. We went anyways after a quick google search on their menu and gluten-free. They have a full gluten free menu! Not only were we the only ones in the place but the guys were awesome! Felt bad they didnt have soda in tap so gave us my husbands 2 slices and 2 cans of soda for free! The gluten free crust is awesome, perfectly crisp(lile a normal thin crust) not crumby or chewy at all! Prices are amazing! Will def make it a point to come back!

In Monterey for a conference. Staying at a resort hotel with super expensive food, but trying to make the most out of my per diem. No car and nothing to eat within walking distance. What do I do? Unilocal up an Italian place that delivers! The short version: good not great food. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about(at least food taste wise). I would order from Bellagio again if I was feeling too lazy to research something else… I ordered garlic bread with cheese, mozzarella sticks and spag with meatballs. The garlic bread was really good; buttery, garlicy and cheesy. The spaghetti was decent. I ordered the«pink sauce»(half marinara half alfredo). The meatballs were good — probably not frozen. Overall, the food was solid. The only downside was this: when the delivery guy showed up, he told me that they were out of mozz sticks and that he had brought jalapeño poppers instead. He could give me those or just take the mozz sticks off my bill. They confirmed my phone number, so they could have easily called me to ask if I wanted something else. This was the only slip up, no big deal, but kind of a bummer.

I give one star because the pizza was pretty tasty. Not like wow tasty, but more of a you can rely on it Round Table tasty. We were the only people in the restaurant and the service was very slow. They got my order wrong, and getting the bill took forever. There was some really loud sound coming from the kitchen, like a drilling or something. It wasn’t a good experience. I asked for a take out menu, and they didn’t have any… Hmm. So, even if the pizza was good, there is no way for me to order it again? They are open late, very late, so I think for the young ones who are out after the bars close, it will be a hit. For me and my family: bomb.

5 drunk people. Ordered 4 slices of pizza. Hmm. We could not do math, but that’s ok. Service was quick. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve had, but it was quick enough service to get us in and out of there! Stat!

Racing home for Top Chef, I spotted a banner proclaiming the grand opening of Bellagio Pizzeria in the spot formerly occupied by Croce’s Pizza. Intrigued, I decided to make a quick pit stop to pick up a slice of pizza to go to test the waters before venturing back for a full survey of their offerings. The pizza by the slice was reheated, and I think suffered from too much time in the oven – it was brown and quite crispy. The crust was thin, always a plus if you ask me, but a little dry. The flavors on my pepperoni pizza were just average – nothing special, really, but that’s often the case with pepperoni pizza. Honestly, a couple of bites in, it hit me – the pizza tasted like the same recipe from the now-defunct Croce’s. Aside from a change in décor, it seemed like I had turned back time(cue some Cher!) and gone back to last summer, when Croce’s was going full swing. Now I’m not sure it is the same recipe Croce’s used, but if memory serves me correctly, it was darn close! Some people might see this as a major plus – Croce’s did have a strong local following – but I was never overly fond of Croce’s recipe. While there, I got the scoop on what’s in store for the corner. Bellagio Pizzeria is the first to open, in the former Croce’s take-out shop. The main building – previously home to Croce’s sit-down restaurant, and Pink Tuna Sushi before that – will be turned into Habañero’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina. Both will be open late, always welcome in sleepy Monterey/Pacific Grove where most restaurants close up shop for the day by 8:30. I’ll be back soon for a proper sampling of the menu – word is they’ll be adding pasta and sandwiches soon.
