Nice location and very comfortable. Compare to other locations this place is my favorite. I’m so relaxing here.

Starbucks coffee always gives me immediate heart burn. The acidity and over processed or over brewed or over whatever they do to it makes me physically sick all day. I have not had Starbucks in 7 months. Nice staff though. Not there fault.

You walk in and this place looks almost too big! Nice place to get work done as others have stated. And parking is limited when compared to the capacity of the building. Not a big deal for me because its a stones throw away from my work. The service does need some improvement! And the people putting your drinks together almost seem as though they are newbies. I mean I could probably go back there and put my drink together faster. Its a Starbucks… you know what to expect! :-P

I’d stay and read the signage if I didn’t have places to go. The ambiance is pretty amazing for a Starbucks. It’s larger inside than most I visit and even if I didn’t have a paper to read I’d spend time reading about coffee agriculture and what this Starbucks does to reduce its carbon footprint. The parking lot is small for the amount of seating inside but I’m guessing they hope people will use public transportation. We went at 9: am on a Wednesday and it was fairly empty inside but the drive thru was packed. Plenty of outside seating but it’s a chilly morning.

This location is the most spacious of all Starbucks in the area. Loads of peeps are reading, studying, or just surfing the net. I come here after Bikram yoga for a large iced tea, free refills with your Starbucks app! Only downfall is the parking, way too small for the footprint of the store. Pro’s: — Friendly baristas — iPhone app ordering — Huge interior w/table, bench, or bar seating — Outdoor seating on nice days — Free refills on tea and coffee Con’s: — Horribly small parking lot

Really great location, close to home and perfect space for me to sit down and work at my computer while I enjoy a pumpkin bread and an Earl Grey tea. The only thing that gets a bit frustrating, and this is true with all(or rather both) Starbucks on the Monterey Peninsula, is that it is over crowded and never any parking. It’s like opening up a Starbucks franchise is guaranteed massive business… so why don’t we have a Starbucks on every corner? Don’t hate the player, hate the game: they obviously have a demand for more Starbucks and it’s shown in the annoying 20 minute wait in the drive thru or driving three blocks up to find a parking spot. Other than that great place!

Great staff and great drinks! Parking can be a little tough, depending on what time of the day you go. There is always ample space to sit and enjoy your coffee and relax. Place is always clean, and I’ve never had any issue with my orders.

Will not be returning to this location ever again. This is the fifth time they’ve gotten my order wrong in the drive thru. Not only did I wait for 10 min to order at 6 pm at night, I got my drink and could tell it was wrong. I always order a hot chocolate and at 190 degrees and it was luke warm. Then I asked at the window for them to remake it so it could stay hot for my drive home and dinner. They re-did it and it felt perfect. I started to drive away and took a sip… it was with espresso. The worse part is I’m pregnant and can’t have coffee hence the hot chocolate. I had to drive around get out of the car with my two year old being 8 months pregnant and go inside to get my money back! This is the fifth and final time I’ll be here. I’d rather drive 10 more min to the Del Rey oaks drive thru to get it made correctly.

This Starbucks location has the best of both worlds, a drive through and a giant indoor seating space. There are comfy chairs with tables inside that make the space ideal for studying for finals as well as a speedy drive through for that necessary coffee run when I’m driving to my morning classes. I am so glad that KFC moved out and Starbucks moved in!

The location is the best on the Peninsula, in my opinion, for study/reading space. It is more open and has updated furnishing which are both good things, with plenty of natural lighting. This review aggregates some experiences here as a customer and specifically addresses my most recent patronage where I used the mobile ordering app. On the app, it’s a little unstable on my S5 running the most up to date Android OS. The app does fine with transaction in store, but it crashed twice trying to process an order. It did give feedback that an item selected was out of stock, so I’m figuring there’s something buggy with the data exchange server keeping process IDs aligned with ports or some junk like that… I put the order in and headed out of the house. Onto the in-store experience — this is the most well-staffed Starbucks in town as far as numbers are concerned; or, so it seems by the 5 – 6 employees buzzing endlessly behind the counter. I spotted my order on the counter behind the glass. It took almost ten minutes to flag someone down to give me my order. Here’s how this happens: everyone has a headset on now… they rotate stations working the drive through… everyone is always ‘doing’ something, whether restocking, cleaning, or taking an order. You aren’t on their radar at the pick up counter if they haven’t called your name or order. Even waving at them doesn’t work since they are like machines avoiding eye-contact outside of the task at hand… like little ants just buzzing away at their chores. Finally an order came up behind mine for the mobile pick up queue and a barista tried to give it to me. I told her I was the one left on the counter… she blinks for a few moments trying to process how I’m not fitting into her perceptions. Confused, she has to stare back and forth at me and the order a few more times then hands it over apologizing. I walk away shaking my head. Generally speaking, they are always like this… I’ve gotten mix ups or needed a spoon and you pretty much have to walk up to the cashier and wave at them and ask them for help, then they flag down someone else behind the counter to help you. It’s a bit annoying and I tend to forget this until I need a place to study and find myself abandoned at the pickup counter. Like I said in the beginning though, it’s great space to work in so I’ll continue to experiment with this… next time I’ll just order in the drive through and then walk in after I got my order — utterly ridiculous, but I have a feeling it will pretty effective.

Super disappointed! Closed an hour earlier than advertised. I understand Pacific Grove/Monterey caters to an older crowd but at least be open during your advertised hours!

This is all you could want from a modern Starbucks. The café area is large and with plenty of seating options. The service was quick and our orders were done perfectly.

Drive-thru wasn’t prepared for the amount of customers in line. I ordered a flat white and it wasn’t a flat white. I think, they thought it was a flat white. This was probably just an off day for the staff, but I wasn’t impressed by the service.

The drive up window chicks have way too much attitude. I am always getting schooled on ordering coffee and then when I order the next time as schooled the next girl corrects that order. Seriously! You know what I want, just give it to me without the lesson!

GORGEOUS Starbucks! I wish this was closer to where I lived. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. I really love the style, plus there are loads of places and options for seating. Knocked off a star because our orders took forever on two separate occasions.

This is a first class Starbucks outlet. The building is a converted Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and as a KFC it was large compared to others. As a Starbucks it is ridiculously large. Larger even than the Starbucks at Crossroads in Carmel. The interior is laid out nicely and the dark tone décor works really well overall. This morning the five young ladies working the counter and drive through window were working at a fast pace. The barista working the espresso machine was in a zone pumping out drink after drink at a respectable clip. I don’t know if this is a prototype of the chain but I hope so. It’s definitely an inviting coffee shop the way they have it set up.

They say this is the biggest Starbucks in California. Well, it’s spacious. Can’t comment on coffee or service as it’s like other starbucks branches. Seats and space are great. It’s nice to either talk with friends or get some work done/read. Overall, good experience.
