Sunglass Hut Internatl of Del Monte Sh Opping Ctr

My husband had been eyeing a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses since November; I tried my best to snag the pair he wanted for Christmas, but the style wasn’t available in a polarized option.
While at Del Monte we popped in to Sunglass Hut. I reallllly wish I had the salesclerks name; she was super great!
My husband tried on the frames he wanted, and was torn when he found out that the style STILL wasn’t available in polarized lenses (he thought he’d get lucky). The clerk checked online, but she just verified what I already knew.
My husband was bummed, but he really wanted a pair of sunglasses. He kept browsing and the clerk overheard him say, «I guess I’ll just get these.» She told him, «If you really want polarized lenses, don’t settle for something else. Have you seen similar styles by Armani? Why not try these on?» She guided him to try on a pair of Armani, some Ray-​Bans, and a pair of Versace frames.
Guess what? He actually liked the Versace frames! The salesclerk and I both thought they were better than my husband’s favorite pair, so he ended up getting them. He was feeling generous, so he also purchased a pair of Versace frames I’d been wearing throughout the store.
The clerk gave us a discount, and we left happy. YAY!

Nice salesclerk showed me a variety of sunglasses and when I found a pair that I liked, asked her how the lenses were at blocking UV-​A, UV-​B and IR. It took some work for her but she found out the answer and showed me the test data.
She made the sale and I walked away with some new shades. Cool!

I have to admit that I often «shop» at Sunglass Hut or similar retain stores for sunglasses, finding the ones I like and that look good on me, and then go buy online for 30−40% off of retain. However, in a hurry to get a couple new pair this past June, I went to the Del Monte Center Sunglass Hut and found a couple pair of Ray Bans that I liked and bought — about $ 300. The sales guys were VERY knowledgeable about the glasses and helped without «hovering.»
The glasses have been great. But yesterday, I did something stupid: exiting my car I left my new fave Ray Bans on the driver’s seat. Entering the car a few hours later, I sat right on the glasses, cracking one of the lenses (real glass). Crap! $ 170 plus taxes down the tubes.
I decided I’d take them back to the store to see if they could be sent back for repairs cheaper than buying a new pair. (Maui Jims have an excellent return/​repair program, but I haven’t used Ray Bans before.)
I entered the store at 6pm and was immediately greeted by Frank. I explained what happened. He asked, «Do you have the receipt?» and of course I didn’t. He said, «I remember you. Let’s see if we can look up the receipt.» Voila! He found it, and gave me the good news: I was 4 within the 3 month no questions asked return period. He went to a drawer, pulled out a brand new pair of identical replacement sunglasses, and that was that. I felt like I’d won the lottery.
Parting comments:
1. It’s worth paying retail at Sunglass Hut when you get the service and the «insurance» against loss/​damage for the first 3 months. Basically, that means my last 2 pairs purchased at SH were 50% off. The first pair I paid 100% and the second pair was free. Can’t get that on the Internet.

OK, I was here the other day to buy a new pair of Oakleys. The young blonde lady working here was very nice and helpful. She even let me take the shades outside the store and down the sidewalk a little ways where the sun was shining so I could try the lenses out better! I returned and I noticed what appeared to be a customer looking at their selection… I kept doing a double take (without looking like a fool staring at her) because I swore she was an identical twin to the lady helping me but I couldn’t really tell for sure. After trying many other similar styles, I finally settled on the Oakley Half Jacket 2.0 brown, polarized shades (see pic I uploaded if your really bored… lol). The very nice blonde lady told me that I could return them for exchange or refund up to 90 days! I paid for them and left the store, then I noticed the two blonde ladies leave the store together (presumably going to lunch)…haha… They were Twins!
I am very happy with my new shades, and their 90 day return policy is great!

Cool place, The staff was very helpful. I bought my first pair RayBan wayfarers, which are to DIE. I wear them almost everyday! They also offer a warranty for your glasses, which is great for me, because I’m accident prone
