Excellent sandwich! I got the Ponky on whole grain toasted and it was amazing! I could only eat half the sandwich! And the cream of mushroom soup was very good. Definitely a local place !! They knew who people were and their regular choices !! Very friendly! I would recommend a few table for people to sit in and eat! Loose all the brickabrac you’re selling(old rack of cocktail napkins for example) and have some seating, that could be nice!

Phenomenal #3, Charlie’s Catch, tuna on sourdough. The sandwiches are huge! There is a great selection to choose from, of sandwiches or your can build your own. My children each ordered their own but they really could have shared one(ages 8 and 11). An amazing selection of bottled sodas, juices, waters, and gourmet chips. The chotchkies in the store are also pretty adorable. We took the advice of another Unilocaler(thank you!) and picnicked next to the Episcopal church. It was lovely.

I have stopped in twice and each time was delicious. Their tuna melt and cookies are spectacular. I also was going to purchase a cookie after I had bought a sandwich and didn’t realize they had a minimum for Amex purchases. So I put the cookie back down and then the owner walked out and said«it’s free, just come back.» This is why I showed back up on my way through again, bought another sando and paid for the cookie. Go here.

Best sandwiches in Montpelier! Don’t be fooled by the decorations and color scheme! Sandwiches are prepared in the rear of the store. They have a set menu of sandwiches, but are always featuring interesting daily specials that also include soups and salads. The store itself features lots of knick knacks and gifts if you are into that stuff. The cookies at the checkout counter are amazing!

Very good sandwiches. I had the pinky roast beef sandwich which was very good. They bake their own cookies and moon pies! I had a moon pie that was good but the filling was super sweet. I will be back though to try one of the monster cookies and another deli sandwich. I recommend you give Pinky’s a shot

I stopped here for lunch while visiting Montpelier last week and the food was pretty good and the wine selection was interesting and worthwhile and reasonably priced. They had nice selection of chocolates, too, which I always appreciate. The first time I ate here the wait in line to pay for my food was terribly slow but since then the owners have redesigned the store for better and faster customer service.

I went here twice while on business in Montpelier. Each time I got a delicious sandwich and cookie, and encountered friendly service. Quite an eclectic shop, as they also sold obscure(yet excellent) beer as well as wine and gifts. I’ll go back next time I’m in town.

Wide selection of fresh sandwiches & salads, good service. Tip: there is a nice church garden half a block away where you can eat the sandwich.

If you’re in Montpelier and looking for a sandwich shop, look no further. Pinky’s is one of the best sandwich shops I’ve ever been to, and traveling across the country on business I’ve been to quite a few. The names of the sandwiches on the menu are a bit whimsical, but the sandwiches themselves are inventive, fresh, and most importantly tasty. Do yourself a favor and check Pinky’s out, even if you’re not necessarily in the mood for a sandwich. You’ll definitely be pleased you did!
