There is really no in-between at Himalayas. It is either mind-blowingly amazing, or absolutely terrible! When it’s good, it’s REALLY good, but those times that are a miss really make me question going back each time. The waitstaff is always extremely attentive and friendly. The prices are spot on for a large buffet. The only problem is with the consistency of the food.

For buffet food, this place is great! We’ve dined here twice and been happy with the selection both times. Some of my faves are the curried goat, chicken tikka masala, and spinach pakoda. I enjoy the fresh salad, cilantro, onions, and tomatoes. It gets pretty loud in there when they are busy. That is ok with us since our toddler adds to the noise. It’s a great place to take your family.

My favorite is the veggie korma. I’m a vegetarian and half of the buffet is vegetarian. This is my favorite buffet of all!

There are few buffets I eat at. Himalayas is one. If you have never tried Indian food this would be a great place to start. Wide assortment of food. Can’t beat the price. Interior not much to look at. Clean and basic. Service is good, a finished plate won’t stay on your table very long. The fresh flat bread and chicken curry are my favorites. I finish with a mango ice cream cone. I’m not a vegetarian, but if you are you really should check this place out. It is in a strip mall and not hard to get to, but not easy to find either.

The best indian restraunt in oklahoma. The samosas are to die for. The pani puri has authentic indian taste. Amazing medu wada and sambar. The complementary masala dosa is awesome. The staff has always been nice and kind(experience of 3 years). Goat curry with naan is something I never miss. The tandoori chicken is juicy with the right spice level. The recently introduced rewards program makes me want to come more. Please keep up the good work guys!

I make it a point to eat here every time I’m in OK city. I really like the huge variety of vegan and meat dishes. The managers are nice and answer all my questions about whats in the dishes. Cant wait till the next time I’m in town to stop by!!!

It may be good for non-indians because of variety, but nothing special compared to gopuram if you are looking for authentic food. Even the small restaurant attached to the spices of India grocery store is better because of the freshness of the food and authenticity.

Very good food. I was a regular here when I was vegan. All the items that are vegan are marked vegan which makes it so much easier! I wish all restaurants would do that. That staff is great and friendly. And I’m pretty much addicted to their food. Saturday afternoons are probably the best time to go in my opinion.

Really great buffet at a reasonable price and I love Indian food. So this is definitely a win-win-win! I’ve been to Himalayas a number of times since moving to OKC and I think that they have a great selection of yummy foods, friendly service and reasonable prices. I like that if you don’t feel like dining in, you can do carry-out. It’s simple because they give you a box and add whatever foods you’d like to the container, weigh it, pay and enjoy! Everyone enjoys the simple things right? Be sure to check out this place if you’re in the mood for good Indian cuisine.

Wow, great food, very pleasant staff. Food was delicious. And so much to choose from. The chicken curry, rice, naan bread just wow. Mango ice cream for dessert and I don’t really care for mango, but it was awesome.

Killer Indian food here. Great, hot, fresh, traditional Indian buffet. The curry spice is on point. They have a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan choices as well. Moderately priced for the wide variety and freshness of this buffet. If you like spice you gotta try the chutney on the naan. One of the best chutneys we have ever tasted. They need to bottle and sell it.

Guys, I like this place a lot, but inconsistency is really killin’ it for me. Sometimes I come here, and it is absolutely heavenly. Other times things are lukewarm, congealed, and unappetizing. My favorite mango custard thing that I could drink by the bucket? Came here on a Tuesday night with a group of friends, and the apples were mealy from sitting in the custard for way too long. Unappetizing to eat, so I didn’t finish it. Service and host stand were both really great. Constant water refills and very kind people. I like everything about Himalayas still… except the inconsistency. I get that you can re-serve curry and stuff from the day prior and most people won’t notice, but c’mon… even the mango custard? :’(

First time at an Indian Restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant serves buffet style. Everything being served was very very good. The buffet has the names of all the dishes and a description of what it is. This is an excellent restaurant to go to for getting acquainted with a variety of Indian fare.

One of the best chicken curry dishes I’ve had! Flavor abounds. Lunch buffet is expansive but not expensive. Plenty of dishes, although I would have enjoyed more vegetable options. The saag is average; more spinach and less sauce would help. Prompt service and courteous.

The dinner buffet was outstanding, my favorite parts: the lemon rice with lentils, nuts, and hot peppers, the fresh spinach pakora, the tasty crispy pappodam with the lemon pickles and spicy onion chutney, the best mushroom soup I’ve ever had, and a beet curry dish topped with cashews. They also had plenty of standard favorites like curries, tandoori, and my favorites palak paneer, dal, and koorma. They do carry Indian beers, I enjoyed a big 22 oz Flying Horse with my meal. I didn’t have any dessert but saw they have mango soft serve and some other more classic dessert items. I also noticed they serve vegan chaats on weekends, The restaurant is located in an ugly strip shopping center but the inside is comfortable and inviting and the service is warm and friendly. Prices were VERY reasonable, especially for the high quality of the food. I will definitely be back!

If you are craving for Indian food for a reasonable price this is the place for you. They have all the major traditional dishes and everything has good flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive. The décor for the buffet could use some work but overall is not bad. You will enjoy it if you really are craving some good Indian food!

I was so happy to find a decently priced Indian buffet! It’s only $ 9.95 for lunch on weekdays and will easily fill you up with all of the yummy goodness this buffet has to offer. I tried a lot of what was offered and there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The tandoori chicken was amazing! I also really enjoyed all of the vegetable dishes like saag paneer, veggie curry, korma and biryani. Delicious naan as well. My server was really on the ball too. This is a great space for larger groups and there is something for everyone, vegetarians and meat eaters alike!

Hubs and I tried Himalayas w/me dragging my feet the whole way there… And let me tell you… It was delicious. I am a super picky eater and had never tried Indian food, so the thought kind of terrified me. I stuck to the chicken… A little more basic… But I loved it and hubs loved it too! We went in a large group so we did their buffet. It was nice to be able to see the food and then see what you wanted to try. I really think that helped out my experience there. Well give it a try… You may like it!
