Rene’s Bar and Grill

Great food. I told my husband I wanted to find a good whole in the wall place to eat we found it. The waitress Marci was very friendly. The food was great looking forward to going back on a Saturday evening to try there dinner specials.

Super friendly and awesome waitress… great priced drinks, food was great. Only downfall. it took close to an hour to get our food (group of 4). Other than that, it was way more than I expected. I want to go back but the long wait for food makes my boyfriend not want to go again :(

It’s a hidden gem. I love it! I’m not a big steak fan maybe partly because I’ve had my shares of bad steaks but I can honestly say I love their steak. Their clam chowder is really good as well. The customer service is exceptional and the ambience is terrific. I truly recommend this place to anyone.

my cousin was in town and she was looking for local good eats in my area and we found this place. dont let this place fool you though, sure, it doesnt look appealing but when you tried out their food, its the best! the ribeye steak suggested medium well and stuffed potato, was soooo good! their steak was so tender and juicy! i was drooling while eating this. although i didnt order that one, my cousin did and she gave me a piece of it.
on the other hand, i ordered their roast beef sandwich, the wait was about 15 – 20 min. but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. we felt really welcome being there. but the place was half empty cause we came there for lunch. their steak was the best in town, i’ll come back for more!
oh yeh, the staff told us the Unilocal’s menu wasnt theirs, they dont have a clue why its up there. so this Unilocal’s menu is useless.

Best little hole in the wall… food was amazing. seafood stuff mushrooms yummy. ribeyey steak better than a steak house they even have lobster an crab legs… our server thressa the best around she made me n my man feel rite at home… I will for sure tell all my friends an family about this place we will be back… thank u thressa an miguel…

After several years, I finaly made it to Renés for the first time.(ok i will admit that this lil’ hole in the wall bar just didn’t rank high on my wife’s list of new places to try… now she cant wait to go back… lol) I have heard from several people that Rene’s has the best steaks in Moval! We had the rib eye… it was to die for! I also had the clam chowder… Amazing! It definitely didn’t come out of a can… lol it tasted like it was made by somebody’s Mama… she also owns this place. It’s family owned. My party had never been here before. We walked in and seated ourselves in a comfortable booth and we were greeted by a very polite waitress who treated us like regulars. I am amazed with the menu. This is not a burger joint… they have kick ass food here! Nice stiff drinks too! UBER IT! LOL I will come to Rene’s before going back to the Outback steakhouse!
Let it be known… my party was Black and Mexican… we loved this place and the hospitality. By no means is this a White’s only kind of place! Anyone who suggests that might just be RIFF RAFF! I was skeptical at first (neighborhood bar) and was very pleased when i saw NO RIFF RAFF HANGING OUT HERE… LOL…I DON’T DO RIFF RAFF

Once again Rene’s hit a home run with their corn beef n cabbage for St Patrick’s day. Theresa is friendly and caring and Jackie is a really good bartender. Thank you for another great experience.

The food was great I ordered a patty melt with a side of clam chowder husband ordered the teriyaki chicken stuffed potato omg yummy! The service was great reasonable prices next time will post pictures This was our first times coming here definitely coming back! Sunday night, from out of town, hungry, no TV, wanted to watch football, read a review on Unilocal,so gave it try. A little ways for the 60 freeway, but well worth. The bartender, Carlos was terrific – even gave me an extra helping of salad at no charge because I told him I had a «big boy» appetite from yard work and gardening all day. Had a ribeye steak for $ 14.00 – isn’t that what they cost at the grocery store? – that was a good as any I’ve had at «high priced, fancy eateries.»

Wow this place is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic, the prices are very reasonable, the service is great. I have come here a few times and am always surprised by the value. I would recommend this place to anyone. Just so you know its a little dive bar-​ish and that seems to be the primary function of this place. They just happen to crank out fresh, homemade meals and at a great price. Thanks Rene’s i will be back soon, you can be sure about that.

The food was really good! I would have probably not tried this place if it wasn’t because somebody else recommended it. But it was really tasty and the prices is decent too.

this place is awesome! i remember when i was little in middle school the lady that works there gave me and other cookies before we went to school. that was great but now im old lol and it still a great place to watch sports and fights also they hae food lol

Came here for the bags tournament that they do once a year. Had never been here before and was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and the delicious food. Will be here again next year. :)

This is the best meal you’ll have in Moreno Valley. It’s family owned and they cook the food from scratch. The bar area is quaint and the food and drink prices are fair. For a good meal and a nice drink this place is definitely worth your while. Don’t expect much as far as décor, the place is a little… Ahhhhh? Historic. enjoy

Service was good. Really nice waitress. But if you’re not Caucasian don’t go in here. Heard racial comments more than once from customers saying if you’re not white you’re not right. Not what you want to hear while eating your dinner… Regardless of your skin color we’re still paying customers, so unfortunate since the food was decent.

The positive:
The service was fast and friendly. The kitchen is an open diner style, where you can see them making your food. The potato skins were really good. I ordered the Rene’s Double Decker Burger — This burger was huge and practically oozed cheese. It was so good. They also have a pretty good beer selection, TV’s everywhere, and a jukebox. Additionally, they have good prices for everything.
The negative:
The building is old and the layout looks like something out of the 70’s. They are in desperate need of a remodel. My guess is it is either a previous biker bar or something else. Paper thin wood stain walls, poorly lit with ceiling fan lights, dirty/​old curtains, black leather wrap-​around booths, and low grade carpet. Approaching the building, I couldn’t tell if it was open or had gone out of business, due to the tinted windows/​doors. I had to go inside to see if they were even open, we almost passed them. There is no sign out front. The biggest negative to me was the smell as soon as I walked in. The whole place smells of potpourri and industrial cleaning supplies, as if they are trying to cover up the smell of something. The restroom is dingy and smells worse.
It’s an okay place. I don’t know if I’d want to go back until they clean up the smell, regardless of how good everything else is.

Came here on a Sunday after watching my parents bowl in their bowling league. Seems like most of the league are regulars here. The atmosphere isn’t much to shake a stick at, but once you ask someone of the history it becomes quite interesting and vintage.
I ordered the Rene’s Double Stacked Cheeseburger… Holy Sh… That burger was HUGE!!! And for $ 7.50… Comes with a small portion of fries, but trust me… The burger will have you more than satisfied. If I were to guess, each patty on the burger is at least a ¹⁄₃ pound easily…
The wait for food is pretty long on a busy night. They only have one cook I have heard, but order some drinks, listen to some tunes on the juke box, and it will be worth it. Trust me!!! Best burger I have had in Riverside County for the price…

Met some friends who are regulars here for dinner. Its a small bar at the edge of a neighborhood. I wanted ground beef tacos since they have Taco Tuesday every week and my wife got the special which was Chicken Enchiladas with green sauce. For a place being a bar and grill and not being a mexican restaurant for food was really good.

Love Rene’s Bar and Grill. Local favorite. Tacos on Tuesday’s are super reasonable and yummy! The Friday and Saturday Night Prime Rib Special is the best meal in town! The seafood stuffed mushrooms are to die for! They always have our favorite tequila and nice cold mugs of beer. Great music on the juke box and a very friendly atmosphere.

Always have a good time when I am here! Great food and great drinks!
