Meh, Just Breakfast is «just okay»… Kinda old and musky. Average options at average prices. We had the ham and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Small ham slice and okay eggs. I was bummed about the gravy… Nothing good… Just meh. Also had the hamburger steak and eggs. It didn’t say it was going to be completely covered in gravy… But it was… Gross. The bacon is thick. But not crispy like requested. The only good food was the french toast, which was thick, crispy outside, tender inside. Hot syrup was a nice touch. I wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone. The staff were nice at least.

The atmosphere is quite lovely, but the food took an unreasonably long time to come out, and it really wasn’t very good.

Woke up with a desire for pancakes. Went to Just Breakfast. Had the pancake sandwich. Everything delicious. And great service!

The food was alright but our server was horrible. My boyfriend ordered apple juice, but she brought orange juice. She was so angry when he asked for his apple juice that she ignore him for the rest of the meal! She actually wouldn’t even bring out part of his meal and we had to ask the bus boy to bring the rest of it! Then, I asked for the check twice and she didn’t bring it. I don’t know how this place is still open when their food isn’t worth being so poorly treated.

We were on a time crunch. We called ahead, were told there was no wait, no need to make a reservation, that we shouldn’t. We took 25 minutes and drove from Gilroy. Ended up being a huge wait, and the man refused to even give us a wait time. Now I’m jamming to San Jose to get to work in time, hungry, annoyed.

This little and quaint spot is one of my favorite places for breakfast in Morgan Hill. The staff is homely and friendly and it always has a great smell coming from the kitchen. The service can be slow at times, but I don’t blame them because weekends get pretty packed in there. They have basic breakfast selections with a great homemade taste. Yum! (Don’t forget about their lunch menu as well! Haven’t tried it myself but I hear great things.)

Nice location but the restaurant itself is dingy. The seats are tore up and the walls could use some better decoration/paint to liven it up a bit. The food was delicious, just like the location on Monterey Rd in San Jose. My breakfast burrito was very hot and fresh. Will’s food was tasty and he enjoyed it as well as his chili bowl. Their rewards program really isn’t a program. You don’t get many rewards for what you spend. The percentage should go up significantly the more you spend but it doesn’t. Strange.

Been sitting here for45 minutes now still waiting for our order. It seems to be under new management. Service is the worst we’ve had ANYWHERE. Would leave zero stars if possible. It’s a shame, this used to be one of our favorite places for breakfast

Wheres the HEALTHDEPARTMENT? The waitresses are the servers and cashiers… They are collecting the money with there hands then going back to serving the next customer? Can we say Ecoli.

Went out to get some breakfast and was not impressed with this location, service was slow and bad and would not recommend. Waitress was very rude-yelling at the bus boy in front of all the customers and had no shame in doing so! WE will not be returning there anytime soon! Plates are big enough to share.

I am confused by negative reviews for a reasonably priced breakfast house. I understand if you are dropping 200 bucks on a dinner wanting top notch but c’mon. I thought the food was good, loved the biscuits and gravy and my bill was NOTHING compared to many places. I didn’t get nickle and dimed on anything. Coffe hot fresh and good. I’ll go back…

You may wonder why 4 stars but I’m basing this on two things. 1) Service and 2) Biscuits and gravy. I’ve been coming to Just Breakfast in Morgan Hill for about two decades(that’s 20 years for those of you who don’t know what a decade is lol). My big sister brought me here and insisted I try the Gourmet Biscuits and Gravy. I’ve been hooked ever since. Biscuits and gravy with tomato slices on the bottom. Who knew that would taste so good? I have been told repeatedly by my friends that it’s kind of mediocre here but I was so happy with my biscuits and gravy that I never really tried anything else. So today I decided to be adventurous and ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast with poached eggs and a side of tomato slices(for the biscuits and gravy) and hollandaise(for my eggs). Once again the biscuits and gravy were delicious, especially with the tomato slices. The sausage links were good. The poached eggs were very runny in the whites and the hollandaise tasted nothing like hollandaise. It was like an unpleasant chalky mustard. So all in all it was awesome, okay and bleh all at once. Also I think $ 4 for some tomato slices is a bit much. Maybe if they were organic or some specialty tomato. So I was at a 3 star review. I still love the biscuits and gravy and will come back again for that. I’m going to avoid being adventurous here next time lol. What tipped the review was the service. While my server didn’t smile a lot she was polite, attentive, accurate(didn’t mess up my order) and kind. As I was writing up my review an elderly lady came in on a mobility scooter. She had a hard time finding a suitable place to park and moving herself to a chair. Our server hurried over and helped the lady out of the scooter and into a chair and made sure she was comfortable, immediately got her a drink, took her order, all with efficiency and the same polite and kind demeanor she had with me. This was 20 minutes before closing. I left a bit after closing and they were very friendly and thanked me for my business. Also while parking is a bit smallish, there’s a Morgan Hill public parking lot right behind the Just Breakfast parking lot and it’s free!

Love the reviews, and yes, my own fault for returning. Visit #3, thinking this might be our last stop, we will be returning to the SJ mother store. The service is as slow as molasses, getting extras(like cream or S&P) takes some effort, the eggs are cooked way too fast and high. I had eggs and potatoes, David a sausage steak and coffee. I brought the bill up to the cashier, complained about David’s whites weren’t, and he took my $ 37.98 bill and gave me a 20% discount, dropping the bill to $ 27.07. I am thinking, if I brought my own tea, my eggs were $ 8.99, what cost $ 28.99? We were too glad to leave to care at the time.

Perhaps it was because it was mothers day, or perhaps because it was an hour before closing time, but our experience here was rife with execution errors. My wife wanted to try someplace new and out of the way so instead of staying in the familiarity of San Jose we traveled south to downtown Morgan Hill for brunch. While driving through downtown we saw this place and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is in a shopping building that originally looked like it was a German themed, but inside it was clear that it used to be a Mexican restaurant. There were plenty of tables and the people eating there looked happy and engaged in conversations. Despite a mix up with how to be seated(no hostess at the front door, you walk to the back to the server island). We were seated quickly in a large booth. Visually the booth was fine except the bench which the leather had a large worn through spot. Our server approached us after a few minutes and took our order. My wife and daughter got the half waffle and a full waffle to share. The half waffle included eggs, hashbrowns and sausage, while the full waffle came alone. And I had an omelet with a pancake instead of toast. Service: The server was friendly, and the food came out quickly. The only issue with the service was that since it was getting close to closing time they were more worried about closing out their tickets from the day and she never came back to refill my coffee or ask how was everything. After getting our food, She didn’t show up again until the very end when my wife and daughter were done eating and wanted to walk around the neighboring shops. Normally I’m fine with the waitstaff leaving us alone, but when my coffee cup is sitting on the edge of the table for 10 minutes I get kind of annoyed. Cleanliness: It looked like it was a busy morning, so I’m not going to harp about it too much. One of the previous guests dumped jelly on the floor and my 3yo climbed under the table to switch sides to sit by mommy and came out with her shoes and legs covered in a sticky mess. After I looked i noticed the floor was filthy, a couple of jelly pods exploded and some half eaten eggs were tucked into the corner. Food: In general the food was decent, it’s a breakfast joint so it’s not fair to expect anything out of this world. The preparation of my omelet was as expected, although perhaps a bit more salt would’ve boosted the flavor profile. My pancake was a disappointment, but to be fair I’m extremely picky. The pancake had decent flavor, but the texture was too hard. My wifes waffles were great, crispy and fluffy. the only issue with her meal is the sausage was burnt on one side and hardly cooked on the other. The hashbrowns were a huge letdown. No flavor, and too thick to fully cook through. You bite through a hard shell of browned potato and experience a disappointing mush of flavorless cold grit. Coffee was good… even though I only got one mug of it… boo Overall: If you’re in the mood for breakfast in Morgan Hill, Just breakfast has potential. But with that said if my family or someone special comes into town, we’re going somewhere else.

before I say anything this is based on the food alone. I’ve been to the Just Breakfast off of Monterey in San Jose. I remember having them having the best Biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. I worked near by and had been there a few places and never left dissatisfied. Ok, on to this location The Food: I ordered the Summer Omelet which included cheese, bacon, avocado and tomato, some hash browns and toast which i substituted for a pancake. The Mrs ordered the southern scramble which included scrambled eggs and two biscuits covered with gravy and a side of hash browns. The plan was to split the biscuits but I couldn’t finish it because it just tasted odd to me. They tasted old, that’s the easiest way for me to describe it. The worst part was probably the hash browns. The hash browns were previously frozen and were not made well since the inside of it was sticky. They had not flavor at all and we did not finish them. The omelet was ok, it lacked some cheese and tomato. everything else was just ok. The Staff: Our waitress was very nice. There was something rude that I noticed by the hostess. She sat a customer who asked about a dish that he had a while back(seems like he hadnt been there in a while). He asked if they still had a chili breakfast that he had once had there. although he asked three times, she kept saying that he could ask the server. I understand that it may be hard to memorize an entire menu, and that if it were busy it’d be too time consuming for her to grab and menu and look. That was not the case, the place was pretty empty. The palce itself is ok, it sits about 55 people. There is parking in the back for customers.
