Noah’s Bar & Bistro

My friend who’s a regular and a local at Noah’s took me here for a light dinner after a day of wine tasting.
We shared a salmon burger and she ordered a bloody mary while sitting at the couches close to the bar. I think we were in the bar area, so it was open seating. The service was prompt, smiley, and very sweet. We had a main server, but because we stopped by before the dinner rush – around 5PMish, we were constantly checked in by the food runner, manager, and other servers! That’s good service especially when it’s very slow in the restaurant.
This place serves «New American» food, but not in a greasy or overly fried/​oily way! Pub food without the disgusting friedness. Our salmon burger wasn’t a fake salmon patty, but they actually gave us a salmon filet for our burger! SCORE! I would totally be back, but next time for a full meal if I happen to be tired from a Morgan Hill. Their fries were also hella good – almost like In-​N-​Out fries.
I wish that they would include more information about HH/​happy hour times and prices. That would really help. I think the Monday evening we didn’t have the option for happy hour… but I can’t really remember since it’s been a few weeks.

The food is good and drinks are OK. I just think the restaurant’s set up is kind of weird.

The owners are always here, and the service is outstanding. Love their species too, always delicious. Can’t say enough, one of our favorite family destinations in Morgan Hill

What a pleasant experience we had at this restaurant. Nice new furniture, all the wait staff were professional. A real fun happy hour and delicious appetizers. Professional all the way.

Overall it’s a nice place with a modern look to it! One of the nicest looking bar/​lounge in the area. The service was slow and we did not get our food for a very long time but again this can happen for many different reasons and at any restaurants.

Decent food, deceptive management.
When we made a reservation for six at 7pm, the host mentioned a 9pm function. We arrived on time but the table wasn’t ready so we sat down and ordered some wine.
20 minutes later, no wine and no table. The host mentioned that they were giving the «evil eye» to the current diners who had been there for more than the allotted two hours. We asked if they would do the same to us before two hours and they assured us they would not.
Because we were worried with no wine and no table after 20 minutes, we started calling other restaurants. When the wine finally arrived (above room temperature), the host told us they were finally setting up our table. So we stayed.
However, we had to wait yet another 20 minutes before we got our table.
After we were seated (40 minutes after we arrived) we had an hour of reasonably decent service and tolerable food. The waiter had obviously been instructed to rush us but he did his best to be polite.
Then the party setup started all around us. This included a photo booth right next to the table shining bright light in our eyes and balloon ribbons dangling in our faces with commotion all around us. Soon thereafter, party guests arrived in the room while we were still finishing our meal. It wasn’t the «evil eye» telling us to get out, it was much worse.
We asked for the check, expecting at least an apology from the managers (we later found out they were named Billy and Sadik). This didn’t happen as they were already engaged in their function which turned out to be a party for one of the owners: «Susie.»
We decided to mention this to the managers as we navigated the party guests to leave. All we got in return was very pushy attitude in front of the very party goers that they were scurrying to accommodate instead of their patrons.
All told, decent food but very deceptive management. Maybe it was a one off, but it does make me wonder where else they’re deceiving diners («Maryland» crab cakes, «house made» chicken strips, etc.)

Seafood linguine and cheese fondue!!! That’s all I have to say. Probably one of the most tastiest seafood linguines I’ve ever had. Hands down. And the cheese fondue was also to die for. Definitely must try!
The ambiance was nice, the prices were fair (compared to SF prices they were amazing for the quality of food you got!) and the staff was very friendly! Too bad I don’t live in Morgan Hill or else I’d be there for breakfast lunch and dinner!

I’ve been to Noah’s twice now with my girlfriend, and I must say they are consistently good. The service was great and the food was good. We sat outside both times and I must say this last time we hung around and chatted for a bit after our dinner and even after taking care of the bill we were still checked on and our water topped off. I’m a fan and definitely will return!

Ok guys, this is strictly for the owner/​managers acknowledgement of my review.
She contacted me and informed me that our experience was one a kind and would not happen again. She offered free appetizers which is nice.
I am confident this place is good, that first impression was not the best for us. I am definitely willing to give this place a try.

Love this place!!! Everything I’ve ordered here was delicious! Even the burger. Service is very good they do get busy. We come here often for date night and only one time we had to wait a while to order our second round of drinks. Food always comes out on time and so do drinks. The mixed drinks are made perfectly, male bartender is excellent. Steaks are great love the flat iron. Salmon pasta is to die for. I’ve had a ladies night out here everyone had a great time! (started at bubbles but everyone was starving after ordering a lot of dishes there so I took them to Noah’s where they could get real food fill up)
DON’T change anything Noah’s you are doing great!

Food:
I had the Shrimp Artichoke and Spinach Pasta which was .good, the shrimp and garnishes were cooked and flavored really well, but the sauce itself i felt could have been more exciting. That being said, I still really enjoyed it.
What was really exciting was the prime rib. they slightly under-​cook it because its easier to throw back on the grill rather than re-​cook if the customer is unsatisfied, so if you know this and order it cooked a notch up then you’ll be very very pleased with it!

This use to be one of my ‘go-​to’ places in Morgan Hill. Sadly, the past three visits have been disappointing. My party of 6 all had overly salty main dishes. The complimentary bread is almost never served warm (as this was a very pleasant item my first few visits to this restaurant). The service is good and am grateful for that, but my main reasons to visit is for a delicious meal.
Hopefully my next visit will change because I really loved this place at one point not too long ago.

Came here with my parents for a nice lunch. My dad ordered the Mahi Mahi Salad which he LOVED. My mother and I ordered the burger, but she requested that it come with no bun and instead with extra lettuce for a wrap. The server obliged and our food came out quickly. Unfortunately my mothers burger came with the bun and no extra lettuce. We decided not to mention in and she just ate it as is sans bun. The burger and fries were great and our server was very nice. The interior is lovely and has a good atmosphere. I recommend.

Going to places and being treated poorly isn’t something new, being treated amazingly and attentively is a pleasant surprise though! Food was excellent like the past times I’ve been at Noah’s.
I was completely satisfied with my meal and so were my sister and father. Highly recommend Noah’s Special Pasta, and California Chicken Club. My sister typically isn’t impressed by pastas, but she was genuinely satisfied. The chicken club accompanied with the chipotle sauce they put on the side is like taking a bite of California.
The icing on the cake though was the excellent service. Evan at night with the bar bustling, all the workers were at the top of their game. Our server Blake was phenomenal; Very hospitable, funny, and attentive.
Unlike other places in Morgan Hill, I wasn’t discriminated against by getting lesser service than others and that always means the world to me. Thank you Noah’s.
Highly recommend Noah’s to anyone who is looking for quality food, and quality service.

I have been to Noah’s twice now and both times were consistently satisfying. My boyfriend and I sat outside and even though we were one of the only couples out there, the servers were very diligent about checking on us and making sure we were comfortable in our location and with our food orders.
I wasn’t particularly crazy about the pasta dish I ordered on my last visit, which was the Noah’s Special Pasta. I thought the poblano chiles was going to give it a more savory and fulfilling spice to the dish, but it left something to be desired. My boyfriend ordered the Shrimp Artichoke and Spinach pasta dish, and we both liked his better.
Overall, I still liked the scene, the service, and everything else we tried, including the Arnold Palmers. My boyfriend and I sat and talked long after we finished our meal and paid our bill. The big factor that made me especially like the service and give them an extra star on the rating was that the waiter did not rush us out or stop service towards us. He still filled water and checked on us occasionally. This was a nice touch– I’ve been to so many places where they abandon you once you complete your meal and pay the bill, which doesn’t surprise me, but it is nice to have the opposite as the surprise once in awhile.

Surprisingly mellow for groups or if you happen to pop in. I have been with a small group — seated in both table and lounge areas. Both equally comfortable. If you are just wanting to chat closely with your friends and not eating, the couches in front are a great choice.
I have also visited solo & I was quite impressed — loved the atmosphere and great service.
The sidewalk patio seating is also a very good choice when the weather permits — Which is likely 98% of the time (smile)
The food? I’m a fan all the way around — love their specials and Happy Hour is just phenomenal!

This is another stop in my «Trying restaurants on the way home from Gilroy Gardens» experiment. On this particular day the husband wanted to return to Siam Thai. I wanted something new. I wish I’d listed to the husband.
For my meal I had the cheese fondue served with steamed broccoli and garlic toasts. Fondue at an actual fondue restaurant is SO much better. Noah’s fondue tasted like the cheese you’d get having broccoli in cheese sauce, so really you’re just getting all that cheese on the side instead. It got REALLY monotonous eating it by myself.
Meanwhile my husband had the salmon sandwich. It was fine except that the salmon was about half the size expected and didn’t fill the bun.
I wish that the kids’ menu was a little more challenging than chilcken tenders and pasta with parm and butter. That said, I got the chicken because it was the cheapest option on the menu (cheaper than the apps). The kids’ chicken was pounded thin and fried and was a generous portion. The accompanying fries were good.
My main memory of this place was how LONG it took to get our food. I’m TRYING not to fault them for it since they explained from the beginning that there was a large party outside that tied up the kitchen, and our server was really nice and apologized for the food delay several times. However, if I’d known how long the food really would take to arrive we would have eaten elsewhere.
To give you an idea of the wait, everywhere I looked people were waiting for food. At one point when I walked to my car for a hoodie, I gazed enviously at all the happy people at the Italian restaurant next door who were actually eating. We did have a nice loaf of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to munch on while we waited but that only went so far. In the end, we arrived at 7:00, ordered at 7:15, my husband’s and kids’ food arrived at 7:50, and mine came 7 minutes later.

This review was just for their happy hour. Love their selection of appetizers (all half off, so like 5 – 7 $ each) and well drinks are 3 $!
Can’t beat it. All my pictures are from the happy hour: crab cakes, fondue (not served in fondue pot :(), bruschetta, and calamari. There is something everyone would love here. Sliders too? Yay! Enjoyed everything we got!
Good indoor lounge searing as well as an outdoor patio.
Also, keep in mind that this was an elusive happy hour, 4 – 6 pm, on the WEEKEND. Yes, we went to a happy hour on a Saturday.
My only qualms were that the furniture was ripped in the lounge area, making it look a lot less classy than it should. Also, we were a party of five that hasn’t seen each other for three years, so we were taking time to catch up– And the servers kept checking on us every five minutes or less to ask if we wanted to order more, even though we did order an ample amount for five people, and they were visibly less than enthused when we told them a polite «no thank you». Though there was plenty of room in the restaurant. It was a little off-​putting.
Regardless, love the relaxed vibe of this place, would recommend to any visitors of Morgan hill!

My wife told me about noahs it seems like a nice place so we decided to have date night there and it was probably the best night we have had in a long time the ambiance is awesome the food is great the drinks were delicious couldn’t ask for a better evening and the food was money.
I suggest having the noah pudding for dessert.
I CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK.

This is the second time I’ve been here and I had another wonderful time!
We sat at the bar and ordered a mimosa and chicken skewer appetizer. Both equally delicious. The app came with a peanut sauce that paired very nicely.
The sandwich I ordered was bomb! Chicken breast with cheese, bacon and avocado — I was so happy I couldn’t finish the whole thing so I was able to enjoy it later on my two hour trip home!
May have to make lunch here a habit when I’m in Morgan Hill =)
