Sizzler

Sizzler was a part of my childhood memory and it was finally time to pass on the experience to my kids. We took them here today to teach them about the all you can eat salad bar (which includes soup, build your own tacos, nachos, pasta, and dessert) and the strategy to maximize your experience without going away with a stomach ache. They had a blast!
The food? If you are familiar with Sizzler, it’s the same as you’d probably expect from any of their other chain restaurants. The only down side was that the soft serve machine was out of order. They definitely had a lot of other options available that we didn’t really miss it.
What stood out was our server Kelly. Five star service! She was incredibly attentive keeping our glasses full, clean plates/​bowls at the table in time for our next round and plenty of napkins. I hope management recognizes what a gem she is and she is the reason that we will come back. And no, I’m not related to her. Hahaha! It’s just refreshing to get great service.
This is definitely a fun place to bring a family. There is a little something for everyone.

This Sizzlers is mostly good in that the restaurant is spacious, clean and well lit and the food selection is good.
I ordered the 3 rib plate for $ 8.95, comes with a baked potato. When i got the rib it looked meaty, yet some of the ends were dry, brittle and unedible. Eeks. My baked potato was cooked just right.
The salad bar was the usual very good. For just $ 4.95 to most meals, you can get the AYCE salad bar. I always add the salad bar, cuz it’s AYCE and fresh. It’s a deal.
Customer service: professional and friendly.
Parking: fine.
Bathrooms: clean
I would go back.

I will say the food was good on this visit but other things made the night unbearable. Took my two nieces here to celebrate an early New Years Eve, they love the salad bar. The place was freezing inside, just freezing. In fact every time I go here it is cold, cold cold. All of the customers were complaining of the cold and eating wearing their jackets which should have been a sign to management that something is wrong. I asked the waiter if he could please turn the heat on and a lady said to me she had also asked. No sooner than I asked the little turd waiter walked over and «fixed» the ceiling fan so now we had that blowing on us in addition to ice forming on our eyebrows. Come on guys, you really feel you need to make it worse since it was 48 degrees outside and your too cheap to turn on the heater to take the chill off? Not customer friendly at all and the restroom smelled terrible, looked dirty and was not stocked I used to love going here. What’s up Sizzler? This used to be a wonderful place, used to love coming here but something has changed. Just not a comfortable place to be anymore.

I am on Weight Watchers and was able stay on track… using my iPhone to find points on the Sizzler web site. Salads seemed fresh and the Menudo soup was only 2points .
My husband never needs to diet so he loved the salad bar, eating tacos, pasta, meatballs, chowder, and salad.
We were both happy.
Of course we would not expect a gourmet meal… it is Sizzler. Really fed our needs!

Took my family to dinner at Sizzlers had a bad experience with the food. Salad bar had items that were spoiled, shrimp fries chicken strips had a very bad taste and so did the steak. We left more than half of our food on our plates told waitress and she would not give us a refund. Call management who gave me the phone number to the district manager and all he would say is if he gave everybody their money back that complain then they would not be in business.

Absolutely terrible! If you go to any other sizzler in the state you will see the difference in the way the owner runs this restaurant. Not very clean. The service is horrible. When I asked for more plates for the all you can eat salad bar, the waitress said to me «I already gave you one». The owner is so cheap that he took the chicken wings out if the salad bar and now you have to pay for them on the menu, the hot bar is pathetic. The cheese toast isn’t Texas toast, it’s soggy slice bread, and they barely give you any, and if you ask for more they give you dirty looks. I will never go here again, it should be shut down. I only gave 1 star because I have too. Or I wouldn’t give any.

Sizzler wasn’t what we remembered being. The salad bar was much smaller and the whole kids bar was gone. Still it was a decent trip, but we won’t be back.

I got there salad buffet. It was ok. They should’ve add more food there. Our waiter was everywhere. He couldn’t even check on us or ask if we need refills.

The food was bland the service was even more bland when we asked for another plate to accommodate are «all you can eat salad bar «the server gave us an intrrogation as if we were trying to steal salad haha WTF!!!
I’ll never go there again

The food is okay. There is really not one outstanding thing about anything I have ever eaten here. Will it fill you up when you’re hungry and don’t want to eat fast food and have a variety of people with different palettes? Yes.

Food was good. The steak was very flavorful. Salad bar fresh. Good service. Only negative was mashed potatoes they tasted like boxed mix.

It’s Sizzler, what can I say? The food has been consistent since the 1980’s. Salad bar is nothing to get excited about and very limited, steaks are decent, and the cheese bread is always a nice treat. If your in the mood for a good steak at a reasonable price this is worth it. Ordered the rib eye and endless shrimp and it was at $ 18. The ambiance is typical of a Sizzler and still feels like it did in the 80’s. Staff was attentive. Place was clean. 3 stars for good steaks and lost two stars for limited/​expensive salad bar and under cooked baked potato, which they charged extra if you want the «works». Tip: the salad bar has the toppings for your bake potato.

Just not good.
The whole experience was pretty awful.
Food, 1 star. The hot bar was sad, out of almost everything. Those meatballs were disgusting! The salad bar was meh, nothing special at all!
The steak and shrimp were bleh, I prefer my shrimp de vained and cleaned, which they were not.
The dessert sucks. Ice cream sucked. Tasted very, fake.
Server was friendly. She felt bad for the hot bar. Sadly not her problem to fix, per her answer.
Bathrooms are disgusting. Like eww. Im attaching at photo. In the men’s bathrooms there’s this disgusting like sewer grate thing, all moldy. And God awful. Now quite sure how that passed food code.

Nothing special, but nothing offensive either. Visited a couple times for a Friday lunch and the place was eerily empty. Made me wonder if we missed a memo or two. Staff very attentive, constantly providing clean plates and bowls. Guess that’s one of the perks of few customers, can’t help but get good service. lol
Salad bar — okay, nothing special.
Soup bar — stay away from the menudo and clam chowder, but the chicken noodle is very good.
Taco bar — Also nothing special, but kinda small. It can easily be wiped out in one pass by a couple people. No problem making meatball tacos.
Cheesy bread is tasty. Ice cream machine was working.
Overall, nothing to write home about. But also nothing to write the health department about either. :-)
Oh, the photos … yeah, don’t let the photos fool you. The place nor the food look anything like the pictures posted here. All corporate pictures.

This one and the one in san jose are the only sizzlers near by. Cheesy bread is the best. As kids we ate so much of it.

Writing this review as I wait for my food since there isn’t anything else to do. They take forever to make some simple stuff that that are known for — steak and shrimp and a frickin baked potato. The tables are hella sticky. Their service is so slow and very unattentive. I feel like a neglected child.

I usually love Sizzler and brought my family here to eat while in Morgan Hill. If I could give ½ star, I would. The manager, wait staff etc do not have a clue when it comes to customer service. Salad bar hot bar is sad and not the Sizzler quality I am familiar with. Worst dining experience ever!

i came here with a friend who had a coupon. the coupon stated as followed: Purchase one meal at 18 dollar value and receive the second for free as long as it is at equal or lesser value. We all understand these coupons. But the manager there didn’t he flat out said that no we couldn’t use it. If that’s the case don’t post these coupons in these books if you are not going to honor them. we didn’t want any specials of the day dint want any extra add on’s just wanted dinner. This manager guy was so rude that he literally embarrassed us in front of the other customers as we walked out. I would recommend another line of work for this man due to the fact he has no customer service skills. Please don’t eat here we ended up going to super tac across the street and had fantastic service and great food. Get your act together sizzler or get a different manager he makes you all look bad.

Just had dinner here! My wife and I had the Malibu Chicken. Wonderful! Chicken had a seasoning and we had potatoes. Simply loved it.
The service staffed was very nice and polite. We bugged them multiple times for condiments and such but they never frowned. Very positive!
The indoor décor has been kept up and updated. They’ve got TVs to keep us entertained.
Overall a good experience and great food for steaks and an amazing fresh salad bar!

I love Sizzler whenever I get a chance I will go to one. Unfortunately I live far from any but this one in Morgan Hill does not live up to any Sizzler standards. The food is very bland the clam chowder smells and taste bad. Salt nor pepper can help any of this food! Seriously this food taste like it came out of a microwave and left under heating lamps. It’s a shame because this place gives the others a bad name.
Too expensive for bad food. Go to mountain mikes pizza next door and save yourself $ 20 by doing so.
