This place is now called Morrison Joe. They need a bigger sign or something you can see from the street since they are inset from the main sidewalk. Great Coffee and the Danishes were excellent! I’ll be back!

My friends from Denver took me to see the Colorado Red Rocks. Heading in that direction, Morrison is really the only town to stop and grab a bite to eat along the way, and the options aren’t exactly plentiful, or remotely good for that matter. Intrigued by the sign out front of Morrison Joe advertising«fresh smoothies,» my buddies and I stopped in only to discover their definition of «fresh smoothies» is nothing more than artificial concentrate blended with ice. Woof. There wasn’t a single piece of fresh fruit or vegetable in sight. False advertising? Or are they just high along with the rest of the state? I’m guessing the latter since the apparent owner was dumbfounded over where we purchased our«fresh» muffins. Two problems with this assertion: 1) The muffins weren’t fresh. 2) We got them one block down the street from the only place in town that serves breakfast. At least she was interested in replacing the pre-packaged cookies she was selling, which was the only«baked good» available. On a positive note, they do have quite an extensive coffee menu. Perhaps they should just stick to that.

I have been coming to Al’s of Morrison after early morning events at Red Rocks for years. Though it is very hard to find if you’re just passing through, its worth your time to stop by! It is situated right next to Tony Rigatoni’s restaurant, directly across from a parking lot where you can park for free if you’re stopping by the coffee shop. There are only a few tables inside, but they do have a really nice shaded front patio to enjoy your coffee on a warm day. They brew Kaladi coffee, and their lattes are pretty good!

Yeah! We Found wonderful serious coffee in Morrison! They use Kaladi beans and take careful attention to making your drink. Very friendly barista also. Nice courtyard and outdoor tables too.

Faye serves an awesome cup of coffee, and the town of Morrison is very scenic with a great vibe! I stop by regularly on my way to Evergreen and am never disappointed with the quality of both the menu and Faye ’ s excellent service! !!

Excellent coffee and wonderful service. Ask about the bench — he made it from his grandmother’s headboard. We’ll come back again.

We stopped in today, Monday March 9 for two americanos… service was fine, nice young gal served us quickly and asked about our day. The coffees were super hot, that was good, but they had too much water in them and tasted like hot water with a little coffee. Not too tasty. Unfortunately we had driven away and the drinks were so hot we sipped them after we were in Red Rocks. And it wasn’t worth it to go back and complain. We didn’t finish them. Wish some other place had been open on a Monday.

I accidentally stumbled across this place today and was pleasantly surprised. The barista is a hoot, and the coffee’s pretty darn good too. I’m new to the area, and I’ll be coming back again.

The baristas friends were sitting in four of the six chairs in the shop as non customers. The barista was short an curt with us and not overly willing to be friendly. And in fact was rude to me prior to leaving as I had commented on non customers taking up space And she told me how she felt about My comment about customer service My hazelnut latte was amazing but service simply sucked. That’s all

Thanks for the Italian soda, Clark. Great twist with the crème added and excellent conversation. We loved chatting with you as visitors from New Orleans passing through red rocks.

Americanos and smoothies. Americano was deliciously strong and smoothie was yummy, but not the best. The barista was very kind and the mountain town was very scenic. Cute coffee shop for out of towners. 5 stars for the barista and worth.

I’ve been visiting Clark at Al’s of Morrison, 211 Bear Creek Ave. regularly for about a year and a half now. From the comments I’ve heard from other customers they have great coffee by Kaladi, I’m a Chai drinker. They also have pastries from various local vendors and can make smoothies and cold coffee drinks. Clark is always interesting to talk with and his knowledge of Morrison and the surrounding area is amazing. I learn something every time I go in there. If you have trouble finding Al’s, follow the Allosaurs tracks in the sidewalk just West of Café Prague.

Walked in, sat down, and waited for 10 minutes for Al to get done with his current customers. He was obviously too busy talking with one of them to bother to take a quick second to acknowledge us or tell us that he’ll be a minute. Instead, he went on saying how they’ll get FOA prices, meaning Friends of Al prices and small inane chit chat. Finally my husband and I got tired of waiting for our orders to get taken and just left. I don’t know if the coffee is great or not, but the owner has zero customer service skills– completely ignored us.

Al’s is a little coffee shop in Morrison. Just a bar, a few seats, and a patio for the warmer days. I noticed pastries, fruit, tea, and coffee. Not sure what else he may serve. The coffee is great. The prices are very good compared to chains or most other independent places. Clark is a great personality and a lot of fun to talk to. Worth going in just to converse with him. It’s not near where I live, but I’ll go out of my way to go back for the experience. The shop is set back from the road to the left of Café Prague. It’s not easy to see from the road because it’s behind the patio and some trees. Great setting for sipping coffee on the patio, so don’t let not seeing it immediately discourage you from finding it.

What a gem! After smashing my shin on an icy Red Rocks bleacher, I gave up on a Saturday morning workout and instead found myself wandering through Morrison looking for a coffee and a place to read. Fortunately, my iPhone had just enough battery life for me to Unilocal this location. Al’s is a classic small town coffee shop. Great prices, great coffee, and an amazing barista who is as far from hipster as one can possibly be. I had a tasty espresso and, later, a tasty dirty chai, and was entertained for half an hour with tales of the town and its visitors. Quick this place is not. Hip this place is not. But it’s cozy and happy and a lovely place to spend a late could’ve-been-grumpy-but-wasn’t morning. I can’t wait to come back to see Clark in the future!

Great espresso. Great smoothies. Great prices. Great conversation. For those familiar with the area around the University of Denver, one of the few coffee shops on the west side also serving Kaladi. Best espresso in the area. No frills, just really good.

Searching for coffee via Unilocal reviews but decided instead to turn left to Morrison. Al’s only has three reviews and I think was the only place open in the morning anyway. Glad I made the venture. This place has a great atmosphere and uses Kaladi roasted beans. I’ve never been exposed to Kaladi before but have read the local Unilocalsters rave about it. I have to agree that Kaladi is an excellent roaster. Clark the barista is also great. Although he says that he doesn’t know that much about coffee, he makes a mean cappuccino! If you can make an early trip into Morrison do so.

Best coffee & friendly atmosphere! So glad I stopped in! Clark is a good barista, but just all around good guy. Ended up hanging out here into the afternoon because I enjoyed myself so throughly!
