Table shared an order of pig fries and it was so delicious! Bacon bits and waffle fries were crunchy, the gravy and mornay sauce were tasty and creamy. I had the baked brie burger and my husband had the Mac n cheese burger and we were both very impressed. The patties were seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. The kitchen was closing at 10 so we ordered red velvet fried Oreos in advance and they were the best fried Oreos we’ve ever had. Wished we’d known it was BYOB. Will definitely take advantage next time. Service could have been better-our server never refilled our waters or asked how we were doing, but I’d still return for the food.

The place is small so get there early if you want a table. My breakfast was great. My daughter enjoyed her kids meal if scrambled eggs and cheese. The hash browns are the type that you get at mc Donald’s, the big long ones. My friend had scrambled eggs any they were over done. Actually hard. Blah I had the avocado omelette and it was delicious. It’s a BYOB. I would die if I had to wear a tshirt every day that said pig on it though.

Try the avocado salad with grilled chicken, or any of the burgers. Worth the price. Never been disappointed, visited the place over a dozen times. Yummy. In my tummy.

Was on a long weekend road trip through NJ. Looked up a place to go before leaving and found this place. Wow. Overall: 5 stars Food: 6 stars out of 5(exceptional) Service: 5 stars Décor/etc: 4 stars Value: 5 stars Will I be back? If I’m nearby, yes. Sadly, live too far away. Food: where to begin? Review the menu for yourself and see how mouth watering the offerings are. It was so hard to decide what to get. Finally I had to ask the waitress. Our table ordered a Jalapeño burger, chipotle burger, brie burger, Garlic Grilled cheese and an omelet(can’t remember which – but it had a lot of avocado). Mine was the chipotle burger. With the proliferation of «upscale» fast food burger joints(5 guys, Bobby Flay, Smashburger, shake shack, etc), burgers have become trendy. But none of those places can even come close to this place’s burger patty. Wow. So good. My chipotle burger was excellent, and my friend literally did not speak while eating his jalapeño burger – it was that good. My wife loved her brie burger and the garlic grilled cheese was also a hit. The omelet wasn’t a hit for my friend, but that’s more because she ordered the least of all evils(she was hoping for a more healthy menu). My wife tried a piece of her omelet and she liked it, for what it’s worth. Almost forgot: the deep fried oreos in red velvet batter.(Note, not red velvet oreos, but regular oreos deep fried in red velvet batter. I make this distinction because Oreo has a red velvet oreo cookie that’s quite gross). These oreos were phenomenal. Sooo good. Service: Quite the wait because of busyness. but that’s our fault for going at lunch rush hour. I wish our server came by a bit more but that’s me being picky. She was otherwise great, recommending hte burger(as mentioned above). Décor: Quite a trendy looking place, with a star deducted because of a slightly crowded feel. But then again, I really don’t care about décor. Value: Not cheap. Not expensive. Burgers in the $ 14 range. Not stingy with food either. Portions were nice sized. Will I be back? If I can, yes. Sadly, I don’t live anywhere nearby.

I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time and finally did today. They surely did not disappoint. The Fig and Brie grilled cheese had nice crunch on the outside and ooey gooey melted Brie and Fig jam the perfect combination. My nine year old tried the avocado salad with grilled chicken and lime citrus dressing and it was so refreshing. My youngest had the Challah bread French toast and she said it was some of the best she has ever had. My husband ordered the morning burger which had a beef patty, pork roll and fried egg it was breakfast and lunch together. This cute little is nestled in the center of Morristown business area. So if you are in the area give it a try I’m sure you can find something to satisfy those taste buds

I went back to give this place a second chance, now tempered by my recollection of the first visit. And I’m a bit happier. Fortunately I didn’t go for the same burger this time(almost did), but ended up with the… good morning? burger. The Taylor ham, egg, and cheese one.(It’s not pork roll, grow up.) The burger somehow tasted more — umami — this time, definitely that«deep, meaty flavor» I was looking for last time. Not sure why that had been missing. More care was taken with the prep this time, perfectly placed slices of the ham and a balanced, semi-runny egg on top. Waffle fries were stacked more neatly and I think there were more of them. So definitely an improvement over my last experience. My date had a veggie burger — why are you coming here for that? — but it looked freshly prepared(ragged edges) as opposed to frozen. She wasn’t enough of a foodie to offer too much about it. Still disappointed in the drinks. For the price I pay for an iced tea, lemonade, ½−½, etc., there should be free refills. It can’t cost you that much. The ½−½ was an improvement over the pure lemonade, still a slight bit watery and definitely not enough in a single mason jar. Service is still spotty. Again, the meal came out quickly and the waitress disappeared. Twice, it’s not just circumstance, it’s habit/training. Had to ask a different waiter to bring water. This time I sat outside, which was nice but disrupted by several ambulances and police cars. Not my night for quiet, yet again.(And the table next to me was slightly loud. Apparently these burgers are literally orgasmic. That’s scary.) For«dessert», I ordered the mac and cheese, after seeing it on someone else’s burger. It was 4 stars. The sauce was there, but a little too runny so it all fell to the bottom where I couldn’t get to it. I think instead of long, curly cavatappi, a shorter noodle would help make better use of the sauce. Yes, I’m glad I came back, but I don’t think I’m going to plan on this anymore.

Wasn’t really feeling the love as far as service. Pretty much loud buger joint atmosphere. I had the beautiful Turkey Burger… the burger needed some seasoning. It was straight mean not even salt and pepper… the piggy fries with the gravy and cheese was good but nothing to rage about. Hostess and waitress could use some customer service etiquette.

Wonderfully hip place to enjoy lunch. Service was good. I personally had the Mister Beautiful(turkey burger) — yummy. Prices very reasonable. Excellent variety of brunch n lunch choices.

5 stars for the red velvet deep fried Oreos !!! I would get these on any given day. 2 stars for service. 3 hostesses for this tiny joint and it was still super inefficient. No where to sit and wait. They suggested we get coffee elsewhere and come back. But wait, your losing business? I ordered the brunchwich — a huge dish of French toast bacon pork roll and egg with waffle fries on the side. A lot of good flavors all mixing around !(I love when my food touches) My friend got the avocado omelette, which was pretty good. Overall, a cool spot with an inventive menu. Consider reservations!

Not bad… This place is delicious(and a heart attack waiting to happen considering all the butter and cheese that goes into their dishes). The casual vibe matches the standard pub-ish fare. The croque madame grilled cheese was decadent and delicious. Service is a little spotty but understandably so, as it’s a popular and crowded spot. My biggest complaint is the queuing system. We put our names in and were told we should go and have a drink because the wait would be about 30 minutes. Well, shortly after we leave, we got a text to come back which would have been fine but it was just a minute after we’d ordered beers at a nearby bar. We did our best to chug our drinks and rushed back. Unfortunately for us, they’d already given our spot away! They need to maybe give you a warning text(maybe if they know your table will be freeing soon; perhaps when the diners ask for their checks) or maybe be a bit more understanding when they’re the ones who shooed you away in the first place. Luckily our whining got us the next available table.

This place is uniquely decorated with a nice comfy vibe. Many of the seating is appropriate for 2 – 4, but gets crowded when there’s more. We came here for lunch and got seated quickly around 11:30; the restaurant got full quick by noon and the noise level skyrocketed such that I had to rely on lip reading when talking to my friend just across the table. The menu is what you’d expect from any American-style restaurant with burgers, sandwiches and salads. And I have to agree with Jeffrey S. that with a name containing the word«pig,» you would expect they would focus their menu around such a versatile animal. All the breakfast/brunch items and most burgers have bacon in it… whoopee. There is a section for pork roll, if you’re a fan, but that’s it! And the dinner menu is not much different from the lunch menu. Where’s the pulled pork or ribs or chops or charcuterie? They should call themselves«The Committed Cattle!» Anyways, I had the Chipotle bacon burger with the waffle fries. Overall, the meat was cooked correctly, and the portion size was appropriate. The patty had the same circumference as the potato bun, and got the right amount of spillage of the chipotle mayo and beef grease. Nothing bad about the fries. My friend had the«jershey shore» burger and definitely recommended it. So, I guess I’ll have to come back for another round, but am in no rush.

As you approach this restaurant, you can see small tables outside with people eating alongside the big copper plated pig sculpture. Inside the atmosphere is French country cottage with wooden plank floors, small tables packed together and a large mirror at the end of the room, making it look double the size it is. It was very crowded on a Sunday at noon with lots of young people eating brunch. It was packed and we had to wait for a table. We were told it would be ½ hour but it was more like 10 minutes as lots of people were finishing their brunches. The service is good, not rushed and you can enjoy your food and visit with your companions. I ordered a thermos of coffee(2 ½ cups) and the«French connection» Taylor Ham sandwich which came on a croissant and was served with lettuce, tomato, Gruyère cheese and topped with Dijon.(It was a different combination for Taylor Ham). It also came with many types of fries to choose from but I went with the waffle fries. You get a very generous portion of food and I could not finish. We had fried Oreos with some sort of sugary dip for dessert(which the 3 of us split). I am only sorry I left my camera at home as I wanted to share the space it is located in. It was pretty and kind of different.

Took in lunch here on Saturday afternoon, and I am so glad my wife found this place. We checked out another establishment, but didn’t stay. Be prepared for a wait, but it’s SO well worth it! We were told it was going to be 15 or so minutes, but we were sat in about 5. The menu was unique with lots of choices, and after a few minutes of deliberating with myself, I chose«The Melvin» grilled cheese with waffle fries. «Swing, and it’s a deeeeeeeeep drive to center field! It’s gone! HOMERUN!» And this sammach was just that! A home run! The combo of Swiss Cheese, Russian dressing and slaw over the two thin burgers, absolute heaven! Sammach literally melted in your mouth. The waffle fries were cooked well done as requested(and drum roll please…) I actually got a nice portion of fries. FINALLY!!! For 13 bucks, I was a very happy camper and left very full and satisfied. Oh, and you won’t be waiting very long for your meal. We ordered three and they came out in 5 minutes… If that. Very quick, friendly service. As I stated in my tip, this restaurant reminds me of a small NYC type place, with about 15 or so tables. Oh, and the bathrooms were VERY clean! Bottom line, A+++ place. I can’t wait to return with my wife for another meal. It’s BYOB as well, and is a must visit if you’re in Morristown for a meal. Highly recommended!!!

I really liked this place! It’s small but cute and comfortable inside. Service was friendly and fast. The food… was delicious!!! My mom and I shared the avocado grilled cheese and a salad. Huge portions. We were extremely happy with what we ordered. Only one complaint. the salad dressing. A citrus vinaigrette. Way too tangy so we asked for balsamic. that was tangy too. Both lacked any kind of sweetness to offset the acidity of the vinegars… So we tried the honey mustard which ended up being good. Final thoughts? Can’t wait to go back and try something else off the menu. It all looked so good!

I’ve been here at least six times since moving to Morristown almost a year ago. The service is always quick and the food is always the way it should be. I stopped in last week for an early dinner, didn’t have to wait for a table and we were able to enjoy the beer we brought as we waited for our food. I love the décor of this place and the mason jar glasses are always a nice touch. The variety of fires that they offer may be my favorite part of this place, if a place does not have good French fries I usually do not return but Committed Pig is doing it right. I opted for sweet potato and my friend got waffle cut sweet potato which I’ve never even seen before. My burger was messy and greasy just as a burger should be. When I have friends visiting I usually always bring them here, it is certainly a crowd pleaser and the BYOB is always a bonus.

We went on a Saturday late afternoon. So it was. Not so busy. The service was a little bit slow for the pace of the crowd. Although, the waitress and waiters were very friendly. It just took a bit to order and get drinks. The food was good but nothing to rave about. Not a bad thing but nothing for me to come back. I got the fig and Brie sandwhich. Tasty. A tad better than average is my best summary.

Used the late night window before having a sit down meal, as few places in the area have later hours. Burger I ordered was good, turned out to be a double burger, and it came with lots of condiments. It was good enough to make me come back the next day for Breakfast. The interior is very interesting with modern wood and every table having different chairs. Restaurant has a fair amount of seating and was quite busy during my visit. Servers use tablet computers to take orders. The soda comes in half mason jars, a nice touch. Ordered Eggs & Bacon and it arrived very fast. The amount of eggs served was stellar but I found the bacon a little chewy. Hash browns and toast were fine. Overall food and ambiance of The Committed Pig was nice. I can see myself returning.

Attempted to come here on a Friday night for dinner since I had this place bookmarked for a while but the wait was too long, decided to try again on a Thursday night and there was no wait! Woohoo :) This place is so cute. I love the ambiance, it’s pretty hipster — water served in mason jars and nice wooden décor. But the interior is tiny. Definitely come during non-peak hours if you want to try it out. Our server was so friendly and the food came out relatively quick. We ordered the Chipotle Bacon Burger and the Jalapeño Popper Burger with a substitution of dinner appetizers(for a few bucks more) instead of fries — we got the Pig Fries and Mac & Cheese. The burgers were excellent — very tasty and juicy. I was very pleased with the quality of the meat — it’s a blend of hanger steak, short rib and brisket. The Pig Fries were to die for! However, we weren’t too crazy about the mac and cheese, it was good but we’ve had better. The Pig Fries are waffle fries drenched bacon and gravy… need I say more? I really do want to come back very soon, but I’m a little scared. The food is excellent but it put us in one of the biggest food comas afterwards. Perhaps, we shall order less next time or take it to go. Oh, and it’s BYOB!!!

Seriously one of my favorite finds in 2015. I fell in love with the Committed Pig down the shore in June and was happily surprised to learn there is another location in Morristown! As I try to tackle the menu, this visit I tried their classic grilled cheese with of course, waffle fries. The grilled cheese may be my favorite dish thus far just because of the delicious simplicity of the item. American and cheddar cheese grilled over sour dough, just what my tummy needed. I really adore The Committed Pig and must applaud the company, managers, and staff. They are clearly doing something right because I have visited them 5 times now and do not have a single complaint(which is unusual, I can always wine about something)! Even their wait time is enjoyable with their innovative app and text service to tell you your wait and when your table is ready. I cant wait to go back and try a new item off the amazing menu!
