I was in a crabby mood walking into Pier 1 this afternoon. A day of shopping around the holidays can be brutal(at least in my experience) and I just wanted a nap. Alas, my mom was determined to stop into Pier 1 to find some gifts for her coworkers, so I went along with the visit. Oh, man. It’s been a long time since my last visit to a Pier 1 store, but this one was stocked so methodically with an array of fun items for a bunch of people on my list. Prices are a little steeper than at similar stores, but the quality seems to be high and thus worth it. It’s a little hard to see the store from Nixon Drive — you really have to look for it since it’s so far back from the road and blends in with all the other strip mall chains. By the time I left, I was much happier and relieved to not have so many people left to buy for this year. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you’re already on a Moorestown-area chain binge.
