Great place to eat! The only«fine dining» place around Mount Shasta classy, great service, and food! I am not sure why it says the price is so high this is actually cheap compared to a lot of fine dining places I have been too. The closest experience you’ll get without traveling to Ashland etc. Check it out you won’t be disappointed

I have only eaten here once. We started with appetizers, had a bottle of wine, ate our way through dinner, and had dessert – and we ended up with a good-sized bill. But, I’ve seen higher. This restaurant is not exorbitantly expensive, but it’s also not cheap. In return, you get excellent food and service in a cozy setting, which is not something you find often in Mt. Shasta. The menu is full of wonderful, mouth-watering choices. I would say this restaurant is almost as good as Café Maddalena in Dunsmuir(which I consider the best in the area). If you are going out for a special occasion, or just feel like having a top-notch dining experience, choose Trinity Café. The ambiance is dark, cozy, tasteful, even romantic. It’s one of the best choices around.

Wow. This place was terrible! The food and service were terrible… The scallop appetizer we got was horrible, the scallops were on top of pancakes. Like straight out of the box bisquick pancakes. The sauce was just out of the bottle sweet chili sauce. The scallops had no seasoning, and no sear to them. The avocado compote that was served in the middle of the dish was the only thing that was okay. The Cesar salad we had was terrible. The lettuce was nothing special, it wasn’t young romaine hearts or anything. It seemed like just your run of the mill cheap supermarket lettuce. The pork chop we got was awful. It was not a bone in like that shown in the photos on Unilocal. It was cut into pieces. Which made for a terrible presentation. Let alone it was far from fancy. The creamed orange stuff they served with it was just weird. The red cabbage was okay. In all this was far from a four star Unilocal rating of you ask me! The blonde waitress needs a wardrobe check. Since when is it okay to serve tables in cheap flip flops, and a low cut top? You can wear that to Walmart, but don’t wear it to work honey!!! No one wants to see that while they are eating dinner!!!

The restaurant is in a converted Victorian house, which makes for a charming and unpretentious setting. The owner is the chef and his wife runs the front of the house. Dinner was fresh and delicious and we enjoyed the casual vibe; the place fits the town just right. One suggestion: a minor upgrade on the tableware would make a big difference — in particular, nicer wine glasses. Happy New Year Billy and Brandie!

Our group was there for dinner last night. we had really bad experience there. We booked the table for 25, they lay out the tables at most sitting 15 persons comfortable. So all of us sit the narrow small corner uncomfortablely. This is the first time I saw the restaurant has no idea how to arrange the table. And we were expecting the formal dinner, they served the soup with to go box!!! Plastic box! If any group is coming, definitely this restaurant is not good stop. Lily’s is much better.

We had a wonderful, freshly prepared dinner. The ahi was perfect on a risotto base. The crimini mushroom and spinach spaghetti was just right and the roasted pear salad very tasty. Even the ameuse geule was freshly prepared with a nice dipping sauce. The owners are charming and so hospitable! The ambiance is calming and intimate. A wonderful find. We will definitely make this our restaurant of choice on our next trip to Mt. Shasta.

«Batter my heart, three person’d God!» — John Donne This restaurant is dear to me, a welcome addition in my trips to beautiful Mount Shasta. The quality and presentation of each dish is exceptional, the service warm, and the ambience delightful. I heartily recommend this place, the finest dining in Siskiyou County.

Last month my wife and I were driving up the 5 and found this place from a Trip Advisor review. I’m going to admit that I’ve forgotten exactly what I ordered, but holy crap everything was spectacular! My pork chop was phenomenal. I’m not certain what salad my wife had, but she still raves about it. Thing is, when we arrived, there were a number of 20 somethings eating and they all had burgers. I thought the place looked a little too cute to just be a burger joint. Then looking at the menu, it appears that the burger was probably just the most modestly priced choice. It was a surprising gem of a bistro in an area where we wouldn’t have expected one. And… our service was great.

We have been here before and have always enjoyed the food. Tonight was our last dinner here. The owner is now cooking here & his wife is one of the waitresses. The service was poor and the food has gone downhill. I ordered the nectarine salad, but was told it is mango, not nectarine. Okay, no problem. When we left I noticed the same salad being served to others, but with nectarine. Why I was not served the same who knows. The scallops hardly had any flavor. The Cremini spaghetti was over powered by the red pepper flakes. The side spinach was barely two bites. The mango crisp had lots of oats but was very dry & contained maybe eight extremely small pieces of mango. The wine list had not been updated and was overly priced. They should rehire the previous cook and let wifey stay home or learn the proper way to serve.

Enjoyed our dining experience here. It is a short walk from the nearby KOARV park which made it an easy choice of where to eat. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Service was friendly but spotty, only because she was by herself and serving a very large party inside as well as all the other tables. On our server’s recommendation, Mr. S ordered the pork chop which I shared and also order a scallop appetizer. Everything was tasty, especially the yam that was served with the chop. Being a bit of a wine snob I was a bit disappointed with the wine selection. They had several offerings but nothing that stood out. The Pinot Noir that I had(Estancia?) was drinkable at best. It would be an improvement if the wine quality matched the food quality.

Excellent find! A very small seating area, so recommend a reservation. Wonderful outdoor seating area. Extremely nice wine list, including four reds and four whites by the glass. Menu has a nice selection for the evening and appears to vary from time to time depending upon the season.

The food and service is superb! We just had a delicious meal of Salmon and the Chicken Macro bowl. So rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. Desert was also 5 stars. This is a MUST eat spot in Mt. Shasta! Compliments to the Chef as well as our Server. Thank you for a great evening on our 10th anniversary. We will be back.

Second visit to this restaurant was not nearly as great as the first. We made reservations for 7:30. Ordered by 7:50. Food was served after 9 pm. My New York steak was served cold. As in colder than room temperature. I never send food back and I sent this back. They warned it up; my medium steak now had crispy, burnt crusts. Also was concerned to find that 50% of my steak was fat. I would expect that at Denny’s; for $ 29 I would like a decent amount of edible steak. Wait staff was 2 people for about 12 tables and they were much more attentive to the main room. We went 30+ minutes without any sign of our waiter. Questions about dessert wines went unanswered. Water glasses remained empty. We were prepared for a great dinner and walked away very disappointed. ** when we told our wait staff what happened they took off my steak and cut the bill by 50%. I was just disappointed to miss out on an anticipated great dinner. We would have ordered dessert and maybe a dessert wine, but after the entrée disaster we just wanted to leave.

We ordered melon salad, scallops with corn cake and ribeye steak. Food was great, servers were polite and nice. It was the July 4th holiday, so the restaurant was full and the waiting time for our food was more than an hour. Overall, we had a very good dinner :) PS. For sitting outside, we decided to get our mosquito repellent in good use.

Definitely a great find in Mt. Shasta! I had the Grilled asparagus bruschetta appetizer and the catch of the day which was a perfectly seared and moist piece of local salmon on top of some grilled polenta. The service was friendly and relaxed. Good food like this takes time and is prepared with love and care by the chef. I don’t think it’s a place to come if you are in a rush. Chill, enjoy the patio garden deck and relax for a great meal!

My wife and I stumbled on to the Trinity Café by a pleasant accident. We planned to go to a different place but it was closed. What a wonderful surprise. We were seated outside on their intimate porch. Just a few tables but enough separation so there is no conflicting conversations. The food was well prepared and presented. The menu is small and changes with availability of meats, fish and veggies. The chef is the only person in the kitchen so appetizers and main courses come out at a leisurely pace. That gives time to talk and enjoy the fresh clean air. The restaurant is in a small cottage and is a bit hard to spot but worth discovering.

We came here on our little NW road trip. I’d read about it, but whenever I read reviews for a resto in a place that doesn’t have many, I’m skeptical. In this case the dinner turned out tasty, though wait times between courses were quite long. We could barely find it, even with the address and on a main street, because it’s a small house with an overgrown garden at the end of the commercial part of that street. Once in we were treated to a delicious oil&vinegar dip for our bread. We ordered as follows: Vegetable Frito Misto:(4) Great combination of veg including eggplant, green beans, mushrooms, onions, all crisply fried, with a bit too much breading for me. The accompanying buttermilk ranch dip was made the way it should be, with enough buttermilk to impart a good tang. Caesar Salad:(4) It was a good salad, but by no means a Caesar. The romaine was shredded into small pieces(almost chiffonade) with chopped olives and underdressed a bit with a well balance vinaigrette, which, alas, bore no resemblance to a Caesar Pork chop with cabbage and potato mash and sautéed carrots:(4) Tender and juicy, perfectly cooked chop set on a mix of mashers and al dente cabbage. The latter tasted pretty good, but it was kind of an odd combination. While I love carrots, I don’t care much for them cooked — reminds me too much of the school cafeteria– but these were lightly sautéed and retained their crunch. Better than expected. Duck breast with lentils and chard:(3.5) They were out of duck breast, so subbed a confitted leg instead. One of my new favorites to make at home is duck leg confit. It’s pretty easy to make; you just have to remember to start a day ahead. It never fails to impress, because it sounds complicated, and wonderfully rich in flavor. Well… I think mine is better than theirs– less of a «clovey» flavor, so that caused me to take it down a notch. Lentils were good if unremarkable, and I liked that they mixed the chard right in with the lentils to give a textural contrast. Food: 33⁄40 Service: 16⁄20(points of for slowness, although it was the kitchen, not the server) Atmosphere/Intangible: 18⁄20 Value: 18⁄20 Overall: 85⁄100

It looks like a house so don’t let the locale fool you. I made a reservation at 7:30 and I came in at 7:00 to hopefully get an earlier dinner. I was taken in with no problems and got to grub earlier! :) I had the pork chop that was awesome! I really enjoyed this dish and thought that the chop was brined to perfection. I also had the jerk chicken which was on the blander side. Usually jerk chicken is heavily salted but this chicken was a little more on the blander side. I wouldn’t complain but It definitely was missing that spice level i expect with jerk chicken. Ultimately… it’s a pretty good dinner but at a relatively high price. It was tasty but isnt’ too filing and the cost was a bit much. Definitely recommend if you’re breezing though and want to get something nice to eat

This is fine dining at its highest in Siskiyou County. I’ve been coming here for many years and have always had a very nice meal and a memorable time. Trinity Café is in a small white victorian looking building, probably a converted house. There is a short walkway from the street to the front door. Inside you will see two distinct sections within the space the size of a residential living room and dining room. The décor is modern as is the cuisine, New American, to be specific. This review is not about specific dishes I’ve had here. It is about the impression of the quality of food and how I felt eating there. Everything that I’ve ever ordered has tasted fresh, healthy, and delicious. This held true even with previous owners and previous chefs. I come to Trinity to celebrate. It has always had an air of soft classiness which is why I usually have my final dinner here after every trip to Mount Shasta. They usually also have the best quality wine selection of any restaurant in the area too. When I imagine in my mind loving my future wife after an epic experience on Mount Shasta. .. I imagine me and her locking eyes of love while dining in Trinity Café. Trinity means three. Two souls. .. plus the«being» created by the union itself, makes three! Review 0105
