Microtel Inn Murfreesboro

I needed a place to stay for 12 days. I moved to Murfreesboro to take a job and I was able to get this room on a «summer sale» price which made it like $ 45 a night instead of $ 60 with that being said. here we go…
1. Room is very small but it was clean. It helped that I had a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
2. Had all the cable channels.
3. Wifi is poor. I had to use an xfinity hotspot. I am getting my masters online and so I needed to log in everyday. I just use my data on my iPhone to use Facebook and other social media.
4. It is extremely humid in Tennessee this time of year and the air conditioning made it feel like the room was damp.
5. There is no elevator and I had to bring enough stuff from home to suffice for two weeks so having to lug up and down the stairs was a true hassle.
6. The worse part of the stay was that someone hit my truck trying to squeeze into the space next to mine. There is a small dent and a long black mark where his bumper rubbed up against my white truck. So beware of where you park.
It is not worth the normal $ 60 that they charge but if you can get the room on a discount rate then I would recommend it. It is close to everything. It helped out in this situation because of the quick move I had to do.

Wow, you people sure are critical for paying $ 60/​night for a hotel room. Most of the other hotels in the area that are comparable are over $ 100/​night. I found one other hotel in the area that was under $ 100 with the same amenities and they were sold out. There was no elevator, boo hoo, you had to walk up and down one whole flight of stairs to get to and from your room.
My bed was fine, the room was small, but there was only a queen bed in it, and luckily, I didn’t rent a hotel room there to hang out in it, so the size didn’t really matter. Continental breakfast for free, free sub-​par wifi, yep, pretty much everything I expected from a «cost effective» hotel room.
The shower was my only real issue– it was either freezing or scalding. There was no in between and it was pretty miserable trying to take a shower. The room did have a lingering odor, but I think the whole hotel is on swamp cooling, so that makes sense.
You want Hotel Inn or Hampton Inn amenities, then pay $ 120/​night to stay there.

This was my worse hotel stay ever. It should have been a motel and then they want a credit card on file for incidentals. There was nothing in the room like a refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board or tolietries. They are ashame to the Wyndham name. Forgot to mention mildew stains on one of the pillowcases. It’s so tacky to have a sign on the window saying do not touch broken glass. The air conditioner made all kinds of noises in the middle of the night. I am diabetic and needed my insulin refrigerated. Very low standard for the price paid and poor conditions. The only good thing was Jeffrey at the front desk and that’s the 1 star but he deserves 5.

Very disappointing. No frig in room as advertised. No coffee at front desk ready nor was their coffee pots in room, however the hot cups were there?
Breakfast was all carbs & nothing more. Bread, donuts, bagels (no cream cheese!) no proteins! This is NOT A BREAKFAST. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTING. ROOM PRICE OVERCHARGED.
Refused to give me any discount even though I qualify for several, AAA, Disabled Veteran, even had tourist coupon from Tennessee. NOTHING HONORED?
This place should not be called a Microtel.

The man at the counter did an excellent job
Room #108 first floor–
opened the door and the smell of rotten sheet rock hits you in the face.
Toxic mold all over the walls in the shower-​black spots–
Wall paper peeling off wall, due to water leaking from upstairs room–
Black mold along edge of mirror–
THE TOILET MOVES! NO JOKE
