Motel 6

Yikes. Do not stay here. If I could give zero stars I would. The only nice thing I have o say is that the man at the front desk was very sweet. I thought the Unilocal reviews were wrong. I was treated very kindly! I had no problems checking in. But the second I got my room key and stepped out I immediately regretted getting my «deal» from
and wished I would have spent the extra $ 20 or so dollars on any other place that wouldn’t make me feel so disgusting. Honestly, I don’t expect much in a motel. I just want a place to rest my head for the night and expect a cleanish room. Let’s start with the exterior of this place! It is falling apart. Paint chipped. The walk way to my room was cracked and the stairs were very unsafe. I was traveling with two little children and we only needed to stay for a night! «How bad could it be! It’s just one night,» I thought even if it sucked I would put up with it. Well ladies and gents, I opened my room and instantly smelled cigarette smoke. I requested a nonsmoking room. This room REAKED. It was almost hard to breathe. Then I looked at the beds. I should have snapped a photo but was in complete horror. The bed covers had stains on them. Gross round stains. All over the duvet. I dropped the room keys and left. I didn’t even want to see the rest of the room. I can’t imagine letting my children stay in such filth. I don’t even care that it was paid for. It was THAT bad. I was willing to lose money because I bet I would probably have to spend it on a doctor copay from the weird rash I would get from staying here. Lol! My 4 year old even said «ew mom I don’t like the way this place smells.» It’s so bad. Don’t even waste your money or time on this place. Please avoid it at all costs.

Have stayed there 5 times now in the last 3 months. The management is very friendly and personable. I always travel with my dogs, so the contemporary rooms with non-​carpeted floors are great! I don’t feel bad if my boxer slobbers water on the floor lol. This place is conveniently located near I-​24, and a ton of restaurants, a Walmart and Target. Plus you can’t beat the price! I will continue to be a patron as long as I need to come to the Boro!

If I could give zero stars I would. I remember when Motel 6 was the place to stay. Not anymore. The Murfreesboro Motel 6 is a hell hole. Every day I was there Metro PD was driving through the parking lot. Housekeeping… Well not too much help for them. Why do you work there cleaning motel rooms if you go out of your way to not do any work. The cleaning staff would knock on the door, and wake you up, only to come back 5 hrs. later with the excuse that we ran out of sheets, towels, anything you need to clean the room, and tell you we’ll come back later or tomorrow to change everything, only to repeat the same cycle of crap. Ohhhhh! And management, please they only care about the almighty. The looked at us like we were the problem, because we ask for the room to be cleaned… Really, WTH! My advice, don’t ever stop at the Murfreesboro Motel 6 on Chaffin. The Housekeeping, the rooms, and most importantly the owners… Management don’t give a damn about you and anything you have to say or complain about. And the parking lot, well TDOT would love to work on that road through there… Pot holes all in the parking lot. And all you see is the owner walking around the joint with his hands behind his back, checking out the place, as if he doesn’t know what the hell is going on around there… Really, get a damn clue! By pass the Motel 6, you have been warned!

From the cratered parking lot to the non-​smoking rooms that reek of cigarettes to the housekeeping staff who couldn’t be bothered to clean the rooms to the downright scary clientele, this is one hotel you should avoid at all cost. Even after repeated complaints to management, the «cleaning» staff did not change the bed linens once during our six day stay. Waste baskets were left overflowing, the floors were not swept, the beds were not made, the sinks were never wiped down, towels not put away. Notifying management was easy since we were constantly visiting the front desk for toilet paper and clean cups. If we had trashed the rooms, I could understand any reluctance on their part to tidy up. But there was no such radon available to them. The cockroaches we saw in the rooms later in the stay are testament of a chronic cleanliness problem.
The management was kind enough to refund the housecleaning fee of $ 20 per room, and they were very apologetic about the entire matter. I hope they are able to get their cleaning staff under control one day. But after this experience, we will never use the Murfreesboro Motel 6 ever again.

The location and service were great. However, this place needs a LOT of help. Our room smelled dank, the carpet was horrible, and the window sill and air conditioning unit looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. With two kids travelling, I would NEVER put them in this place again.
