Stopped in here for a drink because we were trying to kill some time. Very fun and artsy atmosphere. There is art on every single inch of wall space and it’s all for sale. The bartenders were very nice as was the hostess. I looked at the menu while was enjoying my beer and it seemed good. If we didn’t have reservations somewhere else we would have stayed for dinner. Definitely will try to next time.

We made reservations about a month before our trip in order to visit Collectors Café. We had had a recommendation from a friend who had been there a few years before. Needless to say we were looking forward to it. The ambiance is very nice. There is a lot of different types of art on the walls throughout the restaurant and you’re encouraged to walk around to view it. After being seated, my husband and I each ordered a cocktail. When my cocktail arrived(an Old Fashion) it was a light blonde color and there was so much ice in the glass it resembled a margarita rather than an Old Fashion. I sent it back and asked for less ice and it came back with SLIGHTLY less ice but looked the same. My husbands drink tasted like watered down fruit juice with not a hint of alcohol.(That’s $ 24 for just the crappy cocktails) So we put our order in. My husband ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the duck. My husband wanted to substitute one of his sides for another on the menu but the waitress said that since they were so «busy»(still lots of tables open, btw) the chef said no substitutions that night. Ok. So after a few minutes went by, the waitress came back to tell us that they were out of the duck.(It was 7:45) At that point our overall impression of Collectors Café was less than stellar. So we asked for the check for our(pathetic) cocktails and left to find a better, more accommodating restaurant.(We went to Aspen Grille which was absolutely fantastic!) If the owner/manager would’ve come over to apologize or try to make amends, then perhaps we would’ve stayed. But nothing. The waitress pointed him out to us and said we could mention our experience on the way out, but I saw that she had already talked to him and he looked our way. I guess he couldn’t be bothered.

I went here on a Friday night around 9ish with a couple of other girls for a girls night out. I really enjoyed the artwork on the walls. The crowd seemed to enjoy themselves. There were some that I could tell didn’t want to be there anymore. By 10 pm the majority of the party crowd vanished. I honestly felt the waitress was rude. Maybe she didn’t want to be there. I ordered a mojito and my friend ordered some fruity martini. My mojito kind of tasted like a mojito but it wasn’t an enjoyable drink. I’ve had better mojitos at Outback Steakhouse… My friend received her martini and she said that it tasted like air freshener. I thought she was being harsh but I did taste it. I had to go to the bathroom and spit the drink out of my mouth because it did taste like some type of cleaning solution. We told the waitress about the drinks and she quickly scooped up the drinks and brought them through the back to the unseen part of the bar. She didn’t even suggest another drink. She then brought us back our drinks but we did not want them at all. And she said, «Well, you still have to pay for them.» I came here to enjoy my drink but all I got was a rude waitress and having to pay for a drink that I didn’t even drink.

For dessert only: Yummo Yummo Yummo. The salted caramel cake was amazing and the vanilla bean cheesecake was out of this world. Good, hot coffee.

One of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach. Décor is very art trendy with unusual paintings everywhere. Tables are spread through the the restaurant from a nice large room to various nooks that give you a different experience every time you eat here. Food is excellent and priced reasonably. I would highly recommend.

We are always looking for new places to dine and at the last minute decided to try Collectors. We did not have reservations but we were seated right away. We were greeted promptly by our server Rachael, who gave us exceptional service. The food was amazing, we will definitely return and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We were a group about fifty, from all over, and the staff helped make this big family reunion as special as it was. The steak was well-seasoned and delicious. My banana hazelnut cake tasted more like banana nut bread, and I started envying the richer chocolate desserts. When my cappuccino was delivered cold, the waitress made me another one without complaint or fuss. There’s art hanging on the wall everywhere. Someday I may go back to see the full menu — since for a large party, we had a limited menu to choose from.

Just finished a delicious dinner. Baby Spinach salad and Sautéed Scallop Cake. Completed the meal with the Chocolate pumpkin spice truffle dessert. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. Our server, Rachel was very attentive and knowledgeable. There were also lovely pieces of art work and paintings for sale. Will definitely return!

I usually try to do not give a places bad review but not today. Friday evening was my wedding(big day) that’s why me and my husband choose this place(been there couple times before and every time was great) unfortunately not this time. It was 10 people of us … So it’s supposed to be 3 servers but it was only one … We was waiting for glasses of water 15 min, drinks another 15 min… She messed up orders, forgot about meal for guest. It was awful I was so sad and I was disappointed! That was my last time at this place !

First timers at collectors café . We were meet at the door with a warm welcome. Our waitress Katie was wonderful, attentive and was full of great suggestions. The house special salad(Katie suggested) was wonderful, my duck was perfectly prepared and the sauce it was surrounded by was very creative. My wife was looking for a crabcake dinner which was not on the menu. We asked Katie to speak to the chef who in turn made her a wonderful crabcake dinner. Make sure you leave room for deserts. We had the coconut cake and caramel cinnamon rum cake they were the perfect way to end the meal. Greeted warmly, great service(thank you Katie), perfectly prepared food, living in Myrtle Beach, what more can you ask, we will be back. JIm & Felicia L

My sweetie and I came here for dinner on our Myrtle Beach day. We had sought out Collectors Café because it looked like it would have a nice vegetarian selection and because the whole vibe of the place looked awesome from the website. Coffeehouse *and* gallery *and* nice sit-down restaurant *and* veg-friendly. It seemed like a unique and culturally rich destination in the midst of tourist Myrtle Beach. And that it was, though the atmosphere wasn’t quite as quirky as we’d hoped or thought it would be. The exterior is blah, and if we hadn’t been looking for it, we would not have been drawn in. The interior, however, is vibrantly decorated, with art every-fricking-where. The coffeehouse area looked like it would be especially exciting to hang out in, which perhaps made the dining room almost a letdown. Not because there was anything wrong with it but because it wasn’t the rest of the place. As we came in and asked for a table for two, I noticed the host, um… read my T-shirt. And then he… read my T-shirt again. Slowly. There wasn’t that much text on it(«I heart Spicy Tuna»), so I don’t know why it took him so long to, erm, read it, and my T-shirt was getting a little self-conscious. Later, when I commented on that to my sweetie, she said, «Yeah. He was staring at your boobs.» Mr. Host Person, please be more aware of what your eyeballs are doing, even if the patron’s T-shirt contains the full lyrics of «Alice’s Restaurant.» Eventually he showed us to our table, where we got a waitress who did not spend longer reading T-shirts than one would expect(thank you, waitress). There weren’t as many vegetarian dishes on the menu as we’d expected(or as many as I’m seeing on the website right now), so in retrospect I’m wondering if you need to ask for it separately? I don’t know what was up with that. In any case, I had penne with shrimp(I am pescatarian; I just like to have veg options sometimes, and the presence of veg options can say a lot about a restaurant and its overall vibe), and I believe my sweetie had veal. We both enjoyed our dishes. My penne was beautifully cooked and sauced, with a great balance of shrimp and veggies. Our server was friendly, attentive, and prompt. It was great to be able to see into the kitchen and smell the scents wafting out.

Always good since 1996 when I first visited. The scallop cake are ridiculously good. I’ve only had as an app but will consider the entrée next time down here. French toast cheesecake was also stupid good. Go hungry, eat slowly. Great wine selection too.

By far the best restaurant in the area. Love the art, the art of the food and drink and with a new pastry chef on board, the art of pastry has come to a new level. Great service as always.

First timers in Myrtle Beach. We are staying at the Marriott Resort up the street and wanted to find a local restaurant that wasn’t touristy. Well this is the SPOT! Our server, Sissy was soft spoken and great with her suggestions. We had the carpaccio and the appetizer special of tuna, avocado, and couscous in a ginger, wasabi soy sauce. We shared the rib eye special that was served with garlic mash and grilled asparagus and portobello mushrooms. It was cooked to PERFECTION! We shared the dish because upon walking in the restaurant, you immediately are introduced to the desserts. We ordered a coconut key lime pie and a cinnamon swirl cheesecake with coffees. Both deserts were spectacular! But enough about the food. The restaurant is a beautifully decorated art gallery where guests are encouraged to walk around and enjoy the art. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to get a delicious meal and stay away from the tourist traps

There’s 5 rooms inside a café. Paintings on the wall are ok. Atmosphere is alright. It gets busy after 8pm. Food was great overall. Great service as well. Will be coming back to try the desserts.

This is the place to go in Myrtle Beach. A quirky and cool space with some gathering areas for friends. A cozy bar area and a menu that is several steps up from the fried fish seafood buffets that seem to be in abundance. We had a nice bottle of wine and I had a really nicely cooked trout. I will go back again next time I am in town.
