We live in Myrtle Beach. This was our first and last time visiting this restaurant. The buffet was over priced for what was offered. Bread was hard. The deserts were all store bought and not good. The lettuce was wilted and brown. The food looked old and dried out(meats). Save your money. PS. The rest rooms smelled like there was a sewage leak.

Found out our server, Mihai, was from Romania and was here for a summer abroad. Hands down the best server I’ve ever had at a restaurant. He was very personable, and had the cutest smile that made talking to him during dinner very welcomed. Other than service, the food was really good and the dessert was awesome. A good selection of seafoods and steak(as well as the service) made the $ 28 per person price well worth it!

This restaurant was the worst! False advertising on king crab legs. It is not part of the buffet, you have to pay an up charge of $ 11 on top of $ 29. Buffet choices limited, food was cool and looked as if it were out for hours. Regretted as soon as we sat down. Asked the hostess if she had a liquor license to which she replied yes, and as soon as we were seated the server informed us she couldn’t serve alcohol on Sunday? Very expensive buffet that was not worth it at all. Avoid!

I definitely would not recommend this place. Food was not the greatest and choices were not very appetizing. Overpriced.

This was our third choice. It wasn’t as crowded as some other restaurants we drove away from because of the wait. I was skeptical because of previous reviews. But business picked up and we were already seated. Had some variety but quality wasn’t the greatest. Crab legs were the best part. Serves no alcoholic beverages. 4 adults and 2 kids 13 and under, total was $ 192.15. But service was great and waitress was very nice.

This has got to be the worst tasting buffet I have ever eaten. This place is a good $ 20 overpriced per person. I didn’t check Unilocal before eating here and I learned my lesson the hard way. Please, please, please, try to avoid this place. The staff was friendly but the food wasn’t good at all.

I wouldn’t even give this place one star but I have to… Overpriced and disgusting!!!

Had a few other buffets in the area, this one was my least favorite. Too pricey when you can eat at others with more variety and tastier.

Thought I would give this one a try. Lived in MB for 12 years, now we travel back each weekend. Been to many buffets. The positive first– friendly waitstaff. Negatives– food was sub par. Crab legs were non meaty. Prime rib was cold, fried selections were decent. Hush puppies were hard as a rock. Sweet potato soufflé topping all came out in one piece and was cold. Night worth money. Go to Benjamin’s or CrAbby Mike’s or Giant Crab.

Recently had dinner here for my Mother’s birthday weekend. Given we’ve ate at a large majority of the buffets in the area she insisted we try somewhere new, we were also caught by the $ 5OFF early bird special. Long and short of the review is this: If you’re going simply for crab legs, this place is a great choice. We spent the extra money for the King Crab option offered. Honestly, the rest of the buffet wasn’t worth the expense of the meal. So we simply stayed seated and waited as the waiter brought us King Crab legs. The 1 trip we all made to the buffet was all the same response that the food either tasted old or had no real flavor. I had some snow crab legs from the buffet and they were extremely dry rubbery. Had I only had the regular buffet I would have been disappointed. 2 stars for the service was great(granted the place was dead) and again the King Crab Leg option was the first we’ve had at a buffet and it was all that saved this from a 1 star.

Great seafood buffet! Seafood includes simply steamed(good original flavor), grilled, fried and cold, plenty of varieties. A little bit pricy but the food is fresh. Overall, this is worth 4 ½ stars as a buffet, but Unilocal doesn’t allow ½ stars. The service is very good! All the servers are very friendly. When you walk to get food, the servers always greatest us with a smile and someone immediately jumped behind the carving station. We always came back to a completely full drink and our our used plates removed.

The service alone made my visit worth it. I unfortunately didn’t catch the waiter’s name, but he was incredibly attentive and so helpful. He answered every question I had, and even demonstrated how to crack open crab legs, since I am a complete newbie to crab. The rest of the staff I interacted with were equally friendly. I was there at a very quiet time, so unfortunately most of the food wasn’t fantastic. It had been sitting out for a while, however the crab legs, cold shrimp, and prime rib were amazing. The rest of the dishes were simply good. The food has a lot of potential when fresh, as I think that it’s good quality produce. I believe I just picked a bad time to dine. The price($ 27.99/adult), from what I can tell, is slightly lower than most other AYCE seafood buffets in the area. In spite of some disappointing dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience.

Massive aholes that don’t answer the phone it says on here that they are open until 10pm drove there only to have wasted my time and gas to walk in at 9pm to be told that they closed at 8:30! Who the hell closes at 8:30? They still had the whole buffet up and lots of customers yet would not let me go through the buffet even though I promised to get everything I wanted in 1 pass so as not to keep them… but NOOOOO! Ridged aholes!

Not overly impressed with their food, although the selection was fairly large. The $ 27.99 a person was WAY overpriced! I’d pass on this one and go somewhere else.

Do not go here when it isn’t busy. I was here right before the dinner rush, and the food on the buffet was not fresh. But after about 15 – 20 minutes, the dinner crowd came in and the food was much better. Crab legs were hot fresh and bright red. The ones before had a lot of barnacles and brown spots on them, and smelled weird. The cold whole shrimp was delicious. Non seafood items were barely satisfactory, could definitely get better at Golden Corral. Booth seats were hard to get in and out of because of an oddly places lip at the edge. Wait staff was very friendly, they seem to have employed many young eastern european college students… which I love because they are always very friendly and great at their job. I probably won’t visit again however. I was just highly disappointed.

Come before 4 pm and adults save 5 bucks. The snow crab legs and fresh oysters are very fresh, but that’s about it. The food variaties are very small. I might have higher expectation since most of my buffet experience is chinese food buffet. We were taken care of by Tadas, who was very nice and helpful. I initially thought to give only 3 stars due to the price(quite high based on where I came from), but then I started comparing the price around the area for the similar restaurants, and I found that the price is pretty comparable.

We came at 430 on a Tuesday. I’m comparing this place to Captain George’s. And I will choose this place every single time. The main reason is that I don’t have to threaten bodily harm to get some crab legs like I do at Captain Georges. No lines for crab legs… because they come out about every 10 to 15 minutes and there is no line or waiting. To me, that alone is worth the price tag of about 30 bucks(captains Georges is about 35 per person). It makes me feel like less of a fat ass that I can go an get my own and not have to wait like cattle at a trough. At captain g’s, someone’s job is actually Keeper of the Crab Legs and they actually serve them to you, one at a time. Here, you are welcomed to be a fat crab ass and eat all the crab legs you can stuff down your pie hole and no Keeper of the Crab Legs to cramp your style. The service here is fantastic. Our waiter was attentive, we never had to ask for a refill, our plates were cleared promptly and he was friendly. He even offered to send us off with a drink for the ride home. People, tip. your waiters, even at at a buffet. The desserts are a tier above Chinese food buffets. The cake was decent and they have hard dip ice cream(chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberry and vanilla). They have plenty of choices for non seafood lovers… pizza, chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, potatoes, veggies, fries, onion rings, mashed potatoes and gravy, prime rib, salad bar, bread, etc. I will say that Captain Georges had a bigger variety of food/dishes but it’s WAY more crowded. I don’t want to fight for my food and I get easily frustrated with slow people who kink up the feeding trough Line. Pro tip: if you’re there strictly for crab legs, ask if you can sit directly to the right as you walk in the door. You’ll be closest to dem crab legs.

Terrible presentation of food for a buffet. Saw all the great reviews and thought we would try. Food was not good. After going to Captain George’s, this was a huge disappointment for the rating it posted!

So we checked out Crabby George’s Seafood Buffet since the reviews were decent. Was impressed with the quality of the food, was very clean and organized as well. Crab was delicious, raw oysters were amazing and prime rib was also great as well. Really enjoyed our server Belinda and one of the managers Amy who made us feel right at home and took great care of us. Belinda also recommeded a number of places for us to check out as well which was very helpful. Feel that this place is a lot better value, quality and atmosphere than Original Benjamins.

We tried out this newly opened restaurant and was very happy we did! The service was wonderful and fast. The food was fresh and the snow crabs weren’t salty at all like most buffets are. They had a wide selection of seafood from shrimp, crawfish, oysters, and snow crabs as advertised. Their prime rib was really good too! The cost is reasonable at only $ 27 a person(cheaper than captain George which was $ 32/adult). We noticed they gave the most generous discount of $ 50 off for parties of 10 or more. The coupon could be found in the visitors coupon book at any hotel. We will def come here again!
