Not very good. Undercooked popcorn shrimp for kids, oysters Rockefeller cold as ice and grouper smells like a jellyfish in a plate.

Had a half dozen oysters and a shrimp basket for lunch. Very fresh oysters and perfect shrimp. I highly recommend.

Service was below average, steak was 80% fat. I asked about the steak, server agreed the steak was very fatty but said the manager gave me 20oz instead of 14oz to compensate lol. Excuse me for laughing but that is a comical response, why wouldn’t you just cut the fat off… oysters were great! Don’t venture off of the oysters though. Crab cakes were also tastey but dry.

I enjoyed lunch at Dirty Don’s Oyster Bar and Grill on a recent getaway weekend to Myrtle Beach. I didn’t order seafood, which I normally would, but for lunch I wanted something different, so I went with the chicken tenders. They were fried well, and not overly breaded, served with ranch dressing on the side. I went with potato salad, instead of fries and made a good choice there I think. The potato salad was delicious and made the meal. Dirty Don’s is kinda divey and a perfect spot on the boardwalk for casual dining.

Very good fresh seafood offered here. Flounder basket(special of the day) was excellent with choices of sides – French fries, coleslaw and potato salad(I just realized that was lots of potato I ate). Nice maritime décor inside though some of them had a pile of dust… needing some good spring clean-up. Our young server was very friendly, energetic and pleasant totally fitting in this environment. It’s a great place right on the boardwalk to people watch and enjoy good food on a nice day at a table outside.

We went here last night, party of 4 adults, and it was pretty good. We ordered 1 pound of shrimp, they were really good, coconut shrimp — they were perfect, a fried grouper basket — it was ok but not what I’d call good(a bit too greasy and it was more fishy than good grouper should be), and a Philly cheesesteak — which was just average, but they forgot to put that part of the order in so the philly came out when we were all just about done eating. Overall it was a cool location right on the boardwalk with a fun atmosphere. One of us ordered a piña colada and she said it was awful with no flavor, it was $ 8 but they took it off the bill. We ordered just plain tortilla chips with nacho cheese and sour cream and were charged for a full order of nachos with meat and all toppings, not a big deal though I guess. Would probably go back if we were hungry on the boardwalk.

If there were 10 stars I’d give that! Amazing fresh peel and eat shrimp! Drinks were 110% awesome. Service was by far the best we’ve experienced in myrtle beach… I can’t say enough good about this place!!! Awesome view! Great prices!

Oyster eaters Beware!!! We went Saturday wanting some oysters. My husband immediately saw and smelled they were not good but wanted to wait and see what I thought. We were served rancid oysters. Good thing I didn’t swallow I would of been one sick puppy! Service was good and our server apologized numerous times but doesn’t change the fact we could of been Very sick!

Waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, glass of water and some sprites. After asking for our long overdue drinks, we were YELLED at by our ever so «busy» waitress, that she was to busy and the other table ordered separate checks so we had to wait because it took her the entire 30 minutes to do so apparently.(Mind you we watched her serve and wait a few other tables during this time, we were just simply forgotten) After being yelled at, we were given some sort of shaken apology, but again backed it up with the single excuse of its all the other customers fault since they needed separate checks. After 56 minutes, our good finally comes out, my kids food needed to be returned since the burger was less than room temperature, mind you its barely even 55 degrees this weekend. While our waitress Julie is now visually shaken pissed off because I asked if my child’s burger could please warmed up, she made quite the show for us back on the open area of the kitchen, shaking her head and pointing over towards us. I’m not quite sure how asking for a water I ordered over 30 minutes prior as well as asking and expecting my kids food to be at least room temperature is any bit of my fault or why I was so blessed with such attitude. At the end of our meal, no comp for such attitude or cold food or waiting an over abundance of time for a simple drink, I was offered a hand shake and told«let bygones be bygones» I will not be returning, I’ll take my vacation funds elsewhere.

Wouldn’t stop here again… Stopped for just a snack and soda… French Fries were yuckie splattered ketchup on my phone, that was upsetting. Did get a free refill on my soda.

Stopped in for drinks. Ended up getting a cup of their chowder and bisque to start. The chowder was definitely good but the bisque was sub-par. Definitely had much better. We then got a dozen oysters on the half shell which were great. They were originally out since they sold out but got some fresh ones while we were there. It was awesome. Price for the dozen was pretty good too. The service was awesome. The only negative(besides the bisque)…There was a creepy drunk guy with a dog just sitting and hanging out on the deck…

This place from the outside doesn’t look like much. In fact I would have kept going if it wasn’t recommended by friends. The food was absolutely terrific. Fresh oysters on the half shell. Terrific soup. My wife and I both had the grouper sandwich blackened. It was the best tasting fish sandwich we’d had in a ling time. We were only in Myrtle for 3 days but we ate dinner there twice and both times were fantastic.

Right on the boardwalk/beach. Came in to the bar for two Yuengling drafts($ 4/pc) and a ½ dozen order of raw oysters($ 8.99). The beers were great, obviously. Overall not bad price-wise for being in the center of all the fun stuff. Oysters were good, but were on the small size. They were fresh and came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, hot sauce, and a lemon wedge served on a metal oyster tray(not on ice). Very simple, no frills presentation. If you’re looking to snag some shucked oysters on the main drag, this is definitely an option, but don’t expect anything fancy or super flavorful. For the location though, this was good option. At the time of writing, happy hour is from 4−6p from Monday to Friday. Came on a Friday night off-season around 7 and there was hardly a crowd.

We stopped by there for Happy hour after going to the skywheel. We ordered ½ dozen of oysters on half shelf, which is not very impressive. They aren’t very fresh, but it seems normal in Myrtle Beach area, at least they are the same for the few restaurants that we went in the area. Shrimp and mussels were just ok. It’s a pretty good location, next to the big wheel and beach. You can sit outside to enjoy the nice weather and view.

My family and I(6 total) were out on the boardwalk and looked this place up on Unilocal while we were trying to decide what to have for dinner. The prices looked good, and the reviews seemed to indicate that the only real complaint was long wait times. We had time to kill, so we walked in. Sat ourselves down in minutes, and a server got our drink orders and brought them out in quick time. After placing our orders, we did have to wait a while for our food, but the wait was worth it once the food arrived. Kid’s meals — generous servings, and they all really liked their food. Grilled scallops — very good, also a very generous portion. This scallop plate was a few dollars cheaper than others on the Boardwalk, and unless they are serving like twice as many scallops, definitely worth it because my wife had plenty to eat. Shrimp Po-boy — delicious. I don’t even like tomatoes, but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of pulling it off, and it was great. You can really tell that the ingredients were local. Definitely going back to this place.

Stopped in while walking the boardwalk area. Our server was upbeat and nice, checked to make sure we had drinks and that we were happy. The food was alright. I had the fish sandwich and my husband had the surf and turf. Sandwich needed a bit more breading, but was decent. Cocktails were well made. Nice outdoor area to sit and watch the crowds go by.

Came here on a Monday night. Sat ourselves. Server was very chill but attentive and easy to talk to! My boyfriend enjoyed his flounder basket for $ 8.50. I had a salad with grilled chicken. Disappointed with the size for $ 10 but not the quality. Definitely one of the cheapest places on the boardwalk looking out on the water. Would recommend if you like seafood(I don’t) and good service.

Absolutely horrible service. The bartender was a jerk from the moment I walked in. He is an older man with gray hair, a mustache, and a beer gut. I asked to replace a bad tasting piña colada and he proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong with the drink. Then, he went to ask the manager and he agreed with him(well that’s what he told us). Where I come from, the customer is always right. I guess not in MB! Next, I ordered mussels and see the picture for the quality for how they turned out. Please stay away. Mediocre food and horrible service.

Ocean front, patio and large bar. Food was great. Fresh oysters and large menu. We went in during a rush and food service took longer than expected. About 35 min. Would come back but not during a rush. New to the area and my wife was pregnant and hungry so we picked this restaurant @110 pm. First impression was good. Beer was a lil pricey but it’s understandable bc it’s an oceanfront establishment. Appetizers took a litter longer than expected(35 min). But it was Easter weekend and the restaurant was full. Sat at the bar and it seemed they were a little overwhelmed with the big rush(confused orders at the bar). I think kitchen/bar has to be more prepared for a rush at 1pm. Oysters were not shucked correctly… strike two. They would get 4 stars if the service was on point. The ppl sitting next to us finished their meal b4 we got ours and we were their first. I think it was just unfortunate.

The reason I came here was because I really wanted to try the seafood nachos however it didn’t happen. I changed my mind last minute and went with the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail. I still don’t know if the nachos are good but let me tell you the crabcakes are delicious. They use real crab and not a lot of breading. The shrimp was just as good and we ended up ordering more. Also, if you buy a pitcher they give you a free t-shirt :)
