We went to the boardwalk and heard about The Bowery/Duffy’s. It is a dive bar. Got in and seated right away took a few minutes to look at the menu. It took an hour to get a cheese burger and it was just ok. Our waitress said she talk to the manager about getting a discount for such a long wait nothing was done. Not impressed will not go back.

I only put one star because i could not put zero. .the band was okay. but the hospitality sucks with a capital S. …no standing. no dancing or swaying unless on very tiny dance floor. SAVEYOUMONEYDON’T COMEHERE

It’s been 29 years since I last visited the Bowery. Was in town and got to have lunch. Totally impressed. I knew its history etc. but didn’t expect the food to be memorable. I was totally mistaken. Fantastic food and the salad was terrific. I’m a music fan so the great food mixed in with the ambience of this places musical history made it a special lunch.

I loved everything about this place. The service was excellent and friendly. The prices were far beyond fair. The food was excellent, great burgers, delicious wings & awesome fresh cut fries. The drinks were tasty & the live music was outstanding! We had a lot of fun & had a hard time leaving.

Me and my boyfriend(both Hispanic decent) went to the Bowery for a late night drink. Before we could take a foot into the place a heavyset white male with a beard, I guess he was«security», told us that they had already called last call and turned us away. Very rude. It looked like there were plenty of people in there so I don’t understand why last call would be at 12:30. I work in the industry and if it is busy a restaurant won’t call last call that early… It was 12:30 and maybe we just wanted to take a look around, obviously we are tourist, but we were shut down before even asked to see ID’s. I read some mixed reviews and wanted to go there for myself but didn’t realize racist establishments like this still exist…

Three of the four band members kept a cig smokin all night. Surprise their lungs could project a sound. Pretty good sound from their cords though. Plan on dropping your clothes at the door when you get home. Not a bad idea anyway… have her drop hers as well. Great wild bunch a patrons on a Tuesday night. A mix of locals and a couple Canadians. Two gals without their hubbies kept feelin asses. Working on requests and good at it They never took a break all night. 5 stars for the band! Minus 2 for the smoke.

I literally downloaded the Unilocal app just to write this review. The worst experience I’ve ever had! Short version, go somewhere else or at least don’t eat there! Extended version: First, the wooden seats out front were horrible. Tried two tables but the seats were not only broken to the point you could fall backwards and injure yourself but extremely uncomfortable as well. When we asked to move inside to a booth seat, which was still not comfy, the waitress gave my bf and I a odd look and seriously thought we were joking. After she finally realized we were not kidding, she looked like she was inconvenienced by this despite us being the only customers ordering food and not just drinking at the bar. As for the food, it was the worst I’ve ever had. I wish I could have taken a picture of my cheesestake sandwich but my phone was dead. Looked like someone already chewed the«steak» meat and spat it on the bun. Other than that, it was flavorless. Honestly, I’ve had a better philly at Arbys. My bf got a burger with chili, bacon, cheese etc. Canned chili, the cheese wasn’t even melted which shows how cold the chili was on top. Large burger but couldn’t be better than 70% lean. It was better than my food but still bland. We also got the fried mac and cheese… it was kraft mac that was fried. I’ve had better food at a fair. Arguably the worst place to eat on the strip.

We always come to the Bowery/Duffys when we come into town and it never disappoints. Awesome burgers and atmosphere and even better service. Our server ally was so friendly and attentive, we even had her the last time we came here in the summer. Highly recommend!

Family went in for a late lunch. We had the garlic Parmesan wings, garbage truck burger. They were delicious. Great prices, great service! The only thing that we disliked was that they allow smoking everywhere in the restaurant. Only two people were smoking and it felt like 20.

Hubby and I were just looking for a casual burger place on the boardwalk, and settled for The Bowery. We weren’t really expecting much in this bar setting, but we were okay with that. However, we weren’t expecting to be so surprised. We had a GREAT meal here and left very full and very happy. First of all, I had a delicious cocktail called Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Made with vanilla vodka, pineapple juice and grenadine, it totally hit the spot. Looking through the dinner menu, I realized every burger was a ½ pound. I love to eat but I knew I’d never eat something that big. So hubby and I decided to split a Bleu Cheese Burger, onion rings and French fries. It turned out to be plenty of food for both of us. The onion rings were alright. The batter on them was very smooth instead of chunky, and I prefer the latter. Wasn’t a bad thing — I still ate them and they tasted just fine. Fries were very good — nothing to complain about here. But it was the burger that bleu(!) us both away. It was just so freaking good. Like the best made burger you can think of(made of Angus) topped with sautéed onions(my fave) and creamy bleu cheese. It was so satisfying and perfect for what we had in mind for the evening. Service was fine. We had a nice server taking care of our table and she was friendly. Our table was seated right next to the bar, and it wasn’t necessarily quiet, but it was all a part of the«biker bar» ambiance. Definitely a no-frills kind of place, but with really kick ass burgers!

Had the 8th Wonder of the World burger plate, a full pound of beef with all the trimmings. They nicely split it between two people to keep us from exploding! Great beef, excellent bun, fries a bit soggy on the bottom, but the onion rings stole the show! Needed a fork & knife to eat the burger. We ate outside people watching the boardwalk crowd. Perfect entertainment!

We really enjoy this place. Great bartenders and great happy hour specials. It’s nothing fancy, which is right up my alley. Stop by have a drink and grab a snack.

After a long walk along the oceanfront, and then enjoying the sights of the crammed boardwalk strip on a hot 90 degree summer day, we were in dire need of adult beverages, preferably beers in ice cold glasses. The Bowery to the rescue. My favorite country band, Alabama was the house band here in the late seventies, and this was a perfect place to have a drink. Dark and cool, with peanut shells everywhere, and a very laid-back kind of vibe. Plus country music playing loudly! It looks like the place may have just opened for the day, and it was still a bit dirty from the night before. Or maybe that is the look they are going for. Not that I care, because after a few of their house beers on tap, I could have been on the moon for all I knew. The bartender was fantastic, very good at keeping the beers flowing and the customers happy!

Quick review because I was only in there for a beer. But based on the establishment, the history and the service I received I’m giving it 4 stars. Country music band Alabama was the house band from 1973 – 1980 according to a guy behind the bar. A house band(not sure of name) plays Monday through Thursday til the singer or someone passes out ;) they can stay open til 4 am but liquor stops at 2 am. The Bowery beer tastes pretty much like a bud light. It’s $ 2.75 and comes in a little beer mug. I’m not sure if that’s the only beer they have. And they only take cash — but there’s an ATM. Not sure about the food. Give that a shot next time! Maybe tomorrow :)
