One of the worst meals of my life! The only positive was the atmosphere, but the meal was an overpriced horror! Small portions, stale ingredients, no flavor… straight from appetizers to dessert! Have no idea how this place stays in business, and do not recommend it! Go right down the road to S & P Oyster if you want a good, fresh meal with great ambiance!

Delicious food! Happy hour prices are great. The lobster crepes were to die for. I couldnt believe the huge chunks of lobster meat! Calamari was good as well. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Always love coming here & was very excited to try the new menu. I was going to get the lobster quesadilla, but was not sure the appetizer would be enough as a dinner. Opted for the scallops with cauliflower purée. They were cooked perfectly & the purée was awesome. However, for $ 28.00, that was pretty much it. A long rectangular plate with scallops and a smear of purée. Thank goodness there was bread on the table or I would have been hungry when we left. Needs to come with something else, maybe a starch. Not $ 28 worth of scallops, etc. I do like coming here & will continue to do so. Definitely getting the quesadilla next time!

Have had great experiences here and I never hesitate to come back. Had a 30 plus person party and the staff worked with us extensively to meet the needs of our budget. We had a beautiful brunch buffet. Have also been here for regular breakfast, had a delicious egg dish with some of the best goat cheese I’ve ever had. The fish and chips I’ve had at dinner was less impressive only because the sauce made the crispy exterior soggy where it was drizzled. Burgers I’ve had are good, and appetizers good too. Beautiful views, nice atmosphere, great, friendly service.

Second time giving this spot a try(due to convenience mostly) and was equally as unimpressed with the food as the first time. I ordered a ‘spinach and kale salad’ for dinner(one of the few vegetarian options that didn’t have 10000 calories in it) and was served the tiniest little bowl of approx 15 spinach leaves with a few walnuts and salty dressing on top. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement… That being said, everyone else at my table enjoyed their meals and were pleased with their portions. Lesson being: don’t order the spinach and kale salad. The ambiance here was decent, they had a live band(‘Styff Kitty’ — they were INCREDIBLE) and an extensive drink menu. Honestly, the band itself managed to turn the night around for me. Keep bringing them back! Will I return, eh. Maybe third time is the charm.

Learned about this place on a blog I stumbled on while researching Mystic for a day getaway. The food was delicious! I had the flood tide crepes which were out of this world! Chock full of lobster in a cream sauce– to die for! I also had seared and blackened scallops, so fresh and tasty! My boyfriend had the burger and loved it! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the chocolate mousse Cake tasted like it sat uncovered in the refrigerator– it was hard and tasted old. Other then that I give this place 2 thumbs up. Greta sunset spot!

Mixed reviews… I went here when they first opened for breakfast with my dad. It was early spring so we sat inside next to a window overlooking the water. Service was great! Our sever always came in the check if we needed anything or asked how our food was without hovering. I got a few blueberry pancakes which had a slight crunch on the rim of the pancake, and were so fluffy and delicious inside! I also got a bowl of «seasonal fruit» all of which was perfectly ripe and fresh. After having such a great breakfast experience I decided to go here for happy hour with my boyfriend. I guess happy hour is only served at the bar and the tables directly next to the bar. So the atmosphere was loud and dimly lit. We ordered 20 raw oysters of $ 1 a piece. They came about 10 minuets later we ordered and then our waitress disappeared until she dropped off our check thirty five minuets AFTER we had finished the oysters. After watching her bounce around from her other tables. Maybe she forgot about us? Assumed all we were getting was oysters? Not quite sure… Anyways I made it clear why she was getting a 10% tip on the check since she did not come back to pick up the check after dropping it off! So after one really great dining experience and one terrible experience I do not recommend dining here to anyone.

Absolutely love HH! I went for breakfast Wednesday and I ordered the BYO-build your omelette. The vegetables were colorful, very fresh, with lots of flavor! Coffee was hot and very good. Our server Jessica was very friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. Her service was outstanding! She also suggested some nice places to visit in her hometown in Rhode Island. To say the least we were very happy and will definitely be coming back for the brunch on the weekends. Thank you to all the staff for making our experience one-of-a-kind.

Harbor House has quickly become one of my favorite places to go for dinner. The view is beautiful, the decks make dining outside easy and elevate you above the bustle of route 1(the side deck is more intimate and quiet than the front deck). The menu is simple but varied(this past winter’s menu a little better than this summer’s menu). The service does tend to be slow(hence 4 stars) but the food had always been delicious(steak frites, stonington scallops, salads, cioppino, burgers, pasta etc…). And you can make a reservation! A rarity in Mystic/Stonington in the summer time.

Went there for my inlaw’s 50th Anny. Not one meal was good. Steak with spinach and blue cheese missing the blue cheese and the walnuts on the walnut salad. Clams casino pasta was missing bacon… and flavor… and the parmesan cheese. Fish and chips was ok, but nothing special and the lobster roll had good lobster but barely any meat. 3 bites or so? They renovated, and the look is much better, but service was slow and the chef was dreadful. Great views though!

Have not been here previously and will never go back. Feel sorry for the wait staff since they seem OK. Fried Calamari was the worst I’ve ever had and I told the waitress, no response at all no manager didn’t offer to take it off the bill either. Fish and chips was tiny fish in huge batter ball over fried in old oil. Even the pickle was old and mushy. I am usually very fair with reviews, this place was just bad.

This would have been an ok review however in the end I can’t give a good review, we booked a getaway at the Mystic Inn and decided dinner at the Harbor house would be nice, we arrived and stood up front never greeted and finally got a servers attention who told us so and so will be there shortly to seat you, eventually the Manager himself who saw a line developing seated us and other guests who had congregated in the foyer, food was just ok, service slow but the kicker is I used a credit card reserved for travel and right after using it the fraudulent charges started kicking in, note to Harbor House you have some unscrupulous staff within your organization, Hotel itself is very nice and accommodating

To say we were disappointed in Harbour House would be kind! From the food to the service to the ambience, it didn’t come close to what we expected. Our first clue should have been the fact that there was no one there on a beautiful summer night in Mystic… They are wasting what could be a prime spot for excellence in dining by having mediocre food, service, and atmosphere. Hopefully, they read reviews and will see that most are not good and do something to change that!

Save your money. My wife and I went for our Anniversary. Food was good. Service was absolutely terrible. Appetizers and entrees arrived at virtually the same time. Dessert was offered while still finishing our first drinks. 8p reservation and we were out by 915p… and that’s only because we slowed the pace down. The place is very loud and not designed for a nice dinner out for two. I asked for Happy Anniversary to be written on my dessert. That didn’t happen. Oh, and if your reading this while in the restaurant and Brittney is your waitress… LEAVENOW.

Great views but food disappoints. Typical fair for this neck of the woods but nothing to write home about. It’s clear that the owners are happy with people just comming for the views and drinks. They kept the lobster creeps of the old establishments menu but even that is just so-so. It is however a pretty busy place most nights and given time I’m sure food will improve Update 8⁄23. Went here for brunch; same story trying to be fancy but just average at best. Food is not as good as it should the views are good but you can’t survive long on that

We go out with a group of friends monthly, each time to a different restaurant. In this one, food delivery was slow, the french onion soup was cool, not hot, portions were small, and the waitress avoided us as much as possible. One portion of our order was never delivered, and several plates that we didn’t order showed up at our table. The soup that wasn’t delivered WAS on our bill. It isn’t likely we’ll return.

The food was pretty good. No complaints, but nothing was the best we had ever had. The service was, by far, laughably awful. Tim, the server, continued reaching across my face to serve the whole table. He did not read us any specials nor explain anything about the menu. We never got bread and sat there wondering why we had ordered and gotten nothing to tide us over. When our soup arrived, I asked what these bread plates were for? Soon after, Tim finally arrived with bread and other condiments he didn’t explain and he smelled like cigarettes. Despite the hostess making excuses for Tim that he had a big party(of 8 as compared to our 6), apparently, he also needed a smoke break. The rest of the meal was the same. Our entrees didn’t come out until 90 minutes after we’d arrived. We rarely saw Tim which was too bad for him– he’d have sold more alcohol! We had to request to hear dessert menus, but he just told us about 2. We just ordered coffee, but Tim said they only had decaf left. It was clear that the staff wished we had gone by 9:30(2 hours after arrival). Sadly, we would have happily been out of there by then if they hadn’t been so slow and negligent. Fortunately for them, as I was ironically starting this poor review, their fire alarm went off. No one said a word to us, but we figured that was our cue to leave.

This was formally known as the Floodtide, which was on Restaurant Impossible! I thought I recognized the place and now I know why! So if you’re like me, you see all the bad 2 — 3 star reviews and I think that’s when they were switching over management or something, either way, I loved my experience here. We didn’t have reservations for a table of 5 but we ended up at a high top in the«bar» area and it was great! We had a sweeping view of the bay and the lights at night. The calamari was so fresh and paired nicely with some feta? and marinara sauce on the side. It was great! I had the 18oz rib-eye steak, medium rare. The steak and the bernaise sauce was good, I wished they gave me a little more sauce though! And the menu said that it came with curly truffled fries, which was why I chose that over the filet, however that night, none of the sides on the menu actually came out. They came out with mashed potatoes and carrots and a couple of pieces of string beans… which is why they’re not getting a 5 star review from me. Sorry, I paid for what was said on that menu and got less and was not informed about it at all. However, the service that my table received from our waiter was very nice. He was quick to help us to our table, get our drinks to us. But after two glasses of wine, I really really wished he was around so that I could ask for a cup of water. He didn’t refill our waters, just our alcohol, lol. I did very much appreciate the fact that they didn’t rush us out or make us feel like we needed to leave even though they were getting packed really quickly around 8pm. Thank you for letting us enjoy our ladies night out! :) I would recommend it as a date night place with someone or a group of friends that enjoy conversations and good food.
