The pizza is delicious. I love the Roman, deep dish and white slices. My family also loves the Fresca. I wouldn’t recommend their kitchen food though. I’ve had variety of pasta and meat dishes and they are always just bleh. Stick to the pizza.

Stick to the easy stuff and you probably won’t be disappointed. Specials are reliable and Pastas are acceptable. But Other than chicken, I’d stay away from the meats. They’re not tender or highest quality. Steak pizzaiola was a disaster. Ordered chicken parmigiana and got dry veal parmigiana instead with no sides, as advertised. They make a nice martini, though. Not too much competition. Never tried the pizza.

When the waiter saw I didn’t eat my fish dish he should have asked it something was wrong, after all, I was charged for it and didn’t ask for a to-go bag! This is continued from my original review…

In previous review I had given high marks but I realized there is a significant difference between the sit down service and the pizza service up front. Pizza service and food was great, the sit down was awful the food was bad and the service was awful, when asked about how the food came out we expressed our dissatisfaction and they didn’t do anything about it or attempt to fix. I’ll go back for pizza but nothing else.

I cannot help but notice that all negative reviews(which are plentiful under«not reccomened reviews») answered by the owner with excuse, after excuse. Perhaps time at Posa would be better spent assuring you provide the quality food that your customers pay good, hard earned money for, as opposed to coming up with excuses for why your food is sub par.

This place is pretty large inside. We were accommodated on a table for 9 pretty easily. It has the vibe of a diner because it’s a bit worn down but it wasn’t too bad. As for the food, the first thing they brought us was some delicious sliced warm bread with butter. It was hard holding back from eating it, but I had to make room for my entrée. We had some garlic rolls that weren’t too greasy so that’s a plus! Later, I ordered the bow tie pasta with vodka sauce and chicken. It was a huge plate, very filling, but there wasn’t anything to talk home about. The chocolate cake with ice cream was pretty good though. As for the service — they were very good at that. Quick and attentive. I was very pleased in this aspect.

I have been going here for years and always liked the food… but something has changed. The last two times were terrible. The first time, I got take out of meatball parm dinner. Got it home and it was close to inedible. Dried out, poor quality and ended up throwing most of it away. The 2nd time, I dined in the back fancy dining room and ordered chicken piccata. Skimpy portion, sauce was brown water, and minuscule portion of pasta on the side. Walked out hungry and disappointed. Not sure I’m going back for anything but a slice of pizza.

Absolute best pizza in Rockland! I come here every chance I get! Very cheesy and great! I always get Sicilian. Hasn’t disappointed me yet! Can get a little busy but they know how to handle it. Only annoying thing is no pizza in the dining room.

I find it tough to find a solid Italian-American restaurant in Rockland, and after hearing good things from a co-worker I decided to give it a try. We were disappointed, unfortunately. I got gluten-free pizza and found the crust to be too chewy. I understand that it can be a challenge to do gluten-free pizza crust, but it was also quite overcooked. My husband got regular pizza and we both commented that the sauce tasted a bit off. Combined with ‘meh’ service, I’m not finding a lot to redeem the place.

This is the worst place I ever ate at. The service was horrible, they were nasty and the food was horrible. I don’t know how anybody could mess up a pizza.

Solid Italian-American food in Rockland. I came here for dinner with a small group and were all enjoyed our experience overall. The staff is very attentive and no one ever kept us waiting. We tried several things on the menu. The portion sizes are a bit skewed — meat dishes are definitely smaller than pasta dishes. Everything tastes like what you’d expect. The red sauce is OK. The lasagna was excellent — definitely get that — don’t tell mom but might be as good as her’s!

I went here on a recent trip to NY. I grew up in Rockland and currently live in NC. It was every bit as good as I remembered. Keep up the good work!

Ok so last time we were in town we came here like three times. This time things were a little different… first we came for pizza and it was excellent. The perfect crispy with chewy. Tonight we came to the dining room side for pasta. We saw our server when he took our order, then never again. Maybe because I asked for whole wheat pasta and didn’t get it? Or did no one know? So no one checked to make sure we got what we ordered etc. So needless to say service gets a 0. Ok so when we pointed out the pasta wasn’t whole wheat they ARGUEDWITHUSOVERIT! Really? Over $ 2? We won’t be back.

I have to admit I stopped going there for many years due to the rules of no pizza in the dinning room and feeling ignored when I was there, Went back and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Still a strange entrance and you need to let them know you are there but really good food and ample portions.

Pizza is ok. Nothing special. Staff is a little abrasive. I had a Sicilian slice and a regular slice and they were mediocre.

I heard from someone that was place was great so we decided to give it a try. First off it is so unorganized 2 women we’re the hostess one was completely rude I wanted to know how long the wait was and she just kept walking away and saying hold on. It was my first time going there and the dining room is separated into 2 areas depends what you order which is just ridiculous! It was so confusing and being our first time there was no direction we came in and didn’t know what we wanted and they make u decided depending on where you sit– pizza, heros, or meals it was so something I never seen. There was a big table next to us and the hostess brought out their food and she had no idea what was Even on the tray– how was she suppose to know what everyone ordered? Our waitress only served our table in the whole area and wasn’t very attentive. Penne vodka was ok I give it a 5 out of 10 I definitely had better and more authentic. I almost felt it was from a jar. The calzone was big and cheesy ! I wouldn’t go back I don’t know what the fuss is about– plus when u walk in and see the pizza it doesn’t even look appealing the way it is presented behind the counter And not even much of a variety !!

I’ve been eating here since it opened. It’s great. The food is nice. The servers are nice. The décor is nice. The pizza is nice. In fact, I’ve never had a bad bite of food here, ever. Not on the restaurant side or the pizza side.
