The owner was wearing a jacket because the heat wasn’t turned on. The food took over an hour to come out with only 3 tables in the restaurant that had patrons. The food was very good but the horrible experience of frigid temperatures and long wait ensured I will not be retuning.

4 stars for the food and an extra star for the attention the staff. So happy Kitchen Table opened up in the neighborhood, a much needed addition to the dining landscape in the Clarkstown area. Kitchen Table serves up fresh food with accessible ingredients and flavors. The menu has many dishes sure to satisfy any picky palate. I love that they have a weekly specials menu, for drinks, appetizers and a main dish — So basically it’s not hard to find something new to enjoy. The staff is helpful and happy to make recommendations. This is not the kind of place you visit 1 or 2 times a year but 2 – 3 times a week.

Such a beautiful, creative restaurant with delicious food and drinks! Great service, private parking lot. Loved all the creative kitchen pieces used to present the bread, appetizers, etc. Highly recommend!

Had heard some good things about this place so we gave it a try. We received a warm greeting as soon as we walked in the door. All of the wait staff was friendly and attentive. All the food we ordered was very tasty with nice size portions. One of the more interesting dishes was a Caesar salad made with Kale that’s big enough for 4 to share! It was delicious! Would definitely recommend.

The place to go!!! I’m there at least once a week, sometimes just sitting at the bar with a friend for a quick bite. The food is fantastic. I love the Mushroom Marsala and the Cauliflower Fritters. If your looking for a good salad, the kitchen table salad and Kale salad are fantastic. There’s outside dining which is nice in the summer. Friendly staff, good bartenders and great food!

Home cooked meals with Italian/American flair. Very enjoyable and the home made dessert pies with ice cream are a must-have. Kudos to Carmella. Friendly, welcome neighborhood place that is a fine destination any day of the week.

THISIS A MUSTGO! So happy this place opened. finally some GREAT Italian food! I’m so sick of the chain restaurants in this area. I would definitely recommend the pizza, eggplant appetizer, and we ordered pretty much all of the pastas and split. they were unbelievable! My friend went the night before and they had a band, they said it was so much fun. I hear they’re always putting on different events which is cool. The outside is a really nice place to enjoy the beautiful summer weather without the bugs. A++++ 5STARS!

This is a new restaurant and I went with two friends w high hopes. The ambiance is decent. It’s a little country/breakfast looking(large kitchen supplies on the wall). The rest looks exactly like Jimmy’s used to. Same table set up, etc. service was good, though I think our waitress has either never tasted the food or has a very different pallet. She recommended almost everything, first. We took her recommendations for the Brussel sprouts and cornmeal calamari. The sprouts were a bit too oily and lacked flavor. The calamari was tiny, but at least it wasn’t greasy. Still, it was oddly small. She recommended the halibut for dinner which was a special. It was deceived as being served w a crust of spinach and arugula. It was not a crust at all. It was like creamed spinach and arugula on top of halibut that was placed on top of a bed of a totally flavorless sauce. She said the broccoli was the best veggie side but that wasn’t great, either. Again, too much oil and nothing special. My friends had the cabbage over spaghetti and a veal over pasta dish. Cabbage dish was good. Can’t argue that. But the veal and pasta dish was totally flavorless. For dessert we shared tiramisu– almond crust– which was very good and a tartufo — also excellent. Overall, we were disappointed w the food. I hope we just made bad choices.

We came in early Sunday evening and first thing I noticed was the place was empty but the two tables near the front and hostess stand were not cleaned. The floor was filthy as well. I almost left being put off. My wife suggested we look at menu and at least grab a beer. The waitress was friendly but not the swiftest. The menu was small but the food was very good. The tables by the door still sat dirty for the entire time I was there. This put me off again with worry what the kitchen looked liked if they won’t even keep the front of house clean. It was not busy and the bus boy seemed to just play on his phone. I might try it again, but they need to clean up the tables and floor.

Service is impeccable. Patio outdoor ambiance with music in the background puts our dinner setting extra special and quite relaxing! We enjoyed our pasta dishes and the Brussels sprout appetizer! Malbec Reserva was a good choice to pair with my dish. Sadly no room for dessert but we will definitely return and bookmark this place as my local favorite Italian cuisine.

My wife and I stopped in to try this new restaurant on a Thursday night. We had no idea The Kitchen Table would turn out to be such a great Italian dining experience. The spaghetti with clam sauce was outstanding and my wife enjoyed the eggplant. The pastas were al dente and sauces were perfectly flavored. We were told to try the brussells sprout appy by a friend and we were glad we did, it was delicious. Their prices were reasonable and the wine selection was very good. Our waiter Walter couldn’t have be more helpful, as was the rest of the staff. We will definitely return!

I recently dined at The Kitchen Table + Bar and had to write a review to inform everyone how great this new Italian restaurant truly is. From the drinks all the way to the dessert. We started are dining experience with the crop harvest drink it’s a delightfully refreshing alcoholic beverage with muddled cucumber pomegranate agave and cucumber vodka, all I can say is yum. For appetizer, had Mama G’ s cauliflower fritters and I must say the Sriracha dipping sauce was divine. I also had the chicken francese and the sauce was made perfectly and the chicken was so moist and tender. My friend had the Pesto Flatbread pizza, which I also had the pleasure of trying again a home run. For dessert we had the Tartufo. If you live anywhere near this wonderful new restaurant, you have to stop in, Wether u sit inside in the cozy dining room or outside on the beautiful patio, I’m sure it will be a place you and your family and friends will want to revisit time and time again. I know I will be a regular.
