For it being our first time there we were very pleased. Hus ordered the surf n turf burrito. I ordered the California bowl without beans, added steak and cheese. We ordered to go, the girl at the counter offered to sign us up for the rewards program so we did. Pricing is pretty close to chipotle but they prepare fresh behind the counter. I liked that. We got home and were VERY pleased with our food. My bowl was made like I wanted. There was a good amount of substance in it, and everything tasted super fresh! The carne asada was so flavorful! The guacamole was perfect! Everything went together so well. The Hus was pleased with his burrito as well. We agreed that it was a successful trip down the street. I’m looking forward to trying other things on the menu in the future!

High Tech Burrito is a local chain that started in San Rafael in 1986. They had tofu on their burritos long before Chipotle had their«sofritos»; they had Mexican-Asian fusion long before Roy Choi’s Kogi BBQ food truck rolled down Angeleno streets. Their flavors include Teriyaki, Godzilla, Thai Peanut&Yellow Curry. They’re genuine, hefty, Mission-style burritos wrapped in foil&filled with rice. Their Thai Peanut burrito with fish was OK… it was filling, which was good. They use good whole wheat tortillas, tho the amount of filling made the whole thing fall apart. The service was friendly, somewhat slow. I look forward to trying the Teriyaki&Yellow Curry. I’ll go for the tofu rather than the shrimp. The High Tech Burrito chain is very much like Chipotle, except they don’t make claims about being GMO-free&locally sourced(despite the fact they’re based in Marin County) They don’t make huge claims, and they won’t leave you heaving either. They have delicious Mexican-Asian fusion. The slaw on the Thai Peanut is excellent. Look forward to going back!

Food is great incredible I’d say healthy and tasty love the black beans, chicken and steak are my favorites but this Sunday when I see that big poster saying kids eat free so I asked and was told that they didn’t know about it or why it was advertised so was it false advertising? Why don’t they remove it then.

They will not custom or alter your order for a «bowl». On top of that you walk away with an incomplete order. Horrible service. I won’t go back.

High Tech is a chain that has remained small and not compromised on their food like some of the other bigger burrito chains. This one in particular is excellent because the food is consistently good and the manager Francisco is always friendly and pays attention to the customer’s needs. I go here any time I want a good burrito or tacos.

Since Amy’s veggie drive thru is up in Rohnert Park(not a convenient drive for a quick lunch), I’m so glad we have a High Tech Burrito here in Napa. Though I don’t eat fast food often, it is so important to know they are here when I have no time to shop or cook. I love supporting a local company that started out right here in the Bay Area. I appreciate their commitment to offering healthier options and local produce. Oh, and the food is good too. There are 6 or 8 vegan-friendly options though I always get the curry bowl with tofu. Who doesn’t love a curry bowl loaded with grilled veggies, tofu and… salsa? Yum! It is much smaller than Chipotle and though it can be busy at times it never has that hectic feel like Chipotle can. Tyler is always there to take my order and is friendly & efficient. The food is made quickly and is very consistent. To feed 2 in Napa for only $ 15 is very reasonable! I’m glad you guys are here offering me something quick, healthy and inexpensive!

High Priced Burritos. The burrito I had was tasty but $ 9 for a burrito that was slightly bigger than a Taco Bell burrito supreme. It’s been awhile since I last ate at this place and I remember it used to be a good deal. I guess I will need to start eating at the authentic mexican restaurants for now on.

I moved into an aprtment plaza near high tech maybe a few months ago and decided to try this place out. Its decent. Its on par with chipotles«healthy» mexican food idea. Unfortunantly that means less flavor when compared to say your mexican style mexican food. Also when the blonde girl handed me my food which was to go she stared at me and then at the tip jar and when i failed to leave tip and started to leave i can swear she called me an asshole but maybe i heard her wrong lol

Today we were exploring the more eastern side of Napa and come across High Tech Burrito by chance. The shopping center has several different eateries including a Chinese place and some pizza kitchen. So there’s a little something there for everyone. The High Tech Burrito dining room is simple and clean with a nice comfy banquette for inside dining. There’s also a large outdoor courtyard with many tables and chairs in which to enjoy your meal. With the great weather we’ve been having lately there wasn’t any open seats in the courtyard on our visit. So I’m still trying to figure out what was so High Tech about the burritos, they seemed pretty average to me. I ordered the Godzilla, while big, was mostly under seasoned rice and beans. I also got a side of their salsa verde which was spicy but also had a strange flavor, I couldn’t figure it out so I just didn’t eat it. They had some different items in the menu, like chicken sate. That seemed a little odd but maybe that’s the thing to get. With so many good Mexican joints here in Napa I don’t have much of a reason to return. But the Chinese place next door is calling my name.

Pretty good size godzilla burrito, I was expecting bigger but it was filling and they weren’t stingy with the shrimp

Nobody was at the register when I entered the store to order. The Godzilla Burrito was the smallest Godzilla that I’ve ever received from any High Tech Burrito. This place needs some tuning, to get on par with every other High Tech.

Expensive for what you get. I looked at their menu online ahead of time, and saw that the bowl and burrito prices were comparable to Chipotle. Based off of the description, that’s how I pictured the set up as well. In my opinion, this does not even hold a candle to Chipotle; not in taste, quantity or build-your-own options. I spent $ 11 for a bowl and soda, and the portion of the bowl was about 1⁄3 of Chipotle for 1⁄3 more of the price! Additionally, you order and they make it in the back, so unless you know exactly what you want to add to it, it comes plain Jane. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted any salsa. I got the Baja bowl, which came with about 1 cup of Spanish rice, ¾ cup of black beans, about 6 medium shrimp, and some sour cream. I asked for a side of pico de Gallo and got a small, 4 oz cup of it. Don’t waste your time here. Go to Chipotle or Free Bird instead.

I’ve been here a couple times and i’ve had a great time in this place! I wanted to make a «pork» joke to a friend that hates pork, and the guy that helped me was cool with that! These people are amazing. Great food! I enjoy every bite of the food here and every time I get a chance, I’ll definitely come here. Nice ambience, nice food, good prices. What else would I ask for?

I think this place is pretty solid. I tend to skip the standard burritos, etc here because you can get those anywhere. I prefer the Thai peanut burrito, the yellow curry one, and a few other left-of-center options. Also, they have some vegan options which is a nice change. Kudos High-Tech. This place won’t change your life, but the good is pretty good!

I love Mexican food and believe me, I’ve been up and down the coast and I’ve had my share of good and bad burritos. High tech has to be one of my favorites. We always stop here when were in Napa. The Cajun burrito is amazing! Don’t get me wrong, this place does NOT serve authentic Mexican burritos, but if your looking for a healthy alternative that is FULL of flavor this is the place for you. The staff is always friendly and the food never disappoints.

I don’t eat a lot of Mexican food, but I’m crazy about this place! Obsessed with the fish tacos as well as their guac/tortilla chips! Staff is friendly and the food comes out quickly.

The rancid guacamole taste is still on my mouth. I had a few bites of my wet mess of a burrito. I couldn’t find any meat. I asked for a side of meat. The girl tore it open to show me the meat. I asked for my money back. I’m not sure how a place that serves food this bad can stay in business.

Ordered the Itty Bitty Chicken burrito… it was 98% rice, 1% cheese and 1% chicken. How disappointing. And their Guac is just ‘okay’. Thank God I called in my order, because if I had to sit and WAIT for that, I’d be more pissed than I am right now. Most likely never going back, or I’ll just have to order more chicken in their ‘chicken’ burrito. –_–

High tech, yes. If you want a burrito that tastes like it was made by a robot, this is the place to go. The food is bland and unappetizing. The salsa can be likened to diced canned tomatoes. The rice is overcooked and mushy, and nothing tastes fresh. Disturbing that people can actually call the food good or authentic. Leads one to believe that perhaps the only«mexican» food they’ve had is Taco Bell.
