First wine club I’ve ever signed up for. Nothing short of awesome. In every way. Wines are reasonably priced, interesting, and the vibe is fun and relaxed.

This place has phenominal wines with a wonderful staff. We came here and did their joy flight($ 25) with their chocolate pairing($ 20) and it was worth every penny. Their rose is very unique for only $ 20.(They also have a high end tasting for $ 50 which also looked great but we had to do the chocolate) We were served by Eric who was very knowledgeable about the wines and even helped us with the proper way to taste wines to get the most of the flavors and smells. Definitely a must.

This was an awesome find! This was the second stop of our bachelorette party! 1.) Great service, great people! 2.) Tasting was 25 dollars, however our person who serviced us threw in so many more than the scheduled five. Definitely worth it! We also got chocolate to go with it. 3.) The décor is just so interesting! Best of all is that since this place is small and quaint, and not many people frequent it yet, our group of 6 people were able to chat and hear each other:)

Amazing and friendly service! Very knowledgable, great selection of wines! Mike and Erick were awesome! My cousin was visiting and we wanted to do a quick trip to Napa. It had been so many years since we visited Napa. Tasting here was definitely a highlight. We all had a wonderful time. Will surely be back, hopefully soon

Found this low key gem by a happy accident. Great guys that work here… Namely Michael Cambell. Allowed us to taste a bunch of wines that were both on and off the list. Excellent times!

Welcoming, friendly and quirky are the best words to describe our experience at Mark Herald Wines. Located right next to the Oxbow Public Market in Downtown Napa, this tasting room had a great atmosphere that wasn’t too formal — perfect for a relaxing evening. The two gentlemen behind the bar were great hosts, cracking jokes while sharing their deep knowledge of the wines and how to best experience each taste. We enjoyed the Sexual Chocolate wine pairing — six hand-crafted Belgian chocolates paired with six different wines. The chocolates paired excellent with the wines offered.

Wonderfully unique atmosphere and fantastic customer service! You’ll feel right at home tasting wines with the wonderful and outgoing pourers here! The Flux varieties were definitely my favorite, but that’s just my taste. Mike and Eric were working when we were there, and they were both amazing! This will definitely be a regular stopping point every time we visit Napa!

After trying a bottle of Mark Herold’s wine from a wine store near my house, I knew I had to visit during my next Napa trip. Our entire party had an amazing experience, and Eric(the greatest wine server of all time) is responsible! Eric educated us on all of the Herold wine and kept us entertained. We left with many bottles and 1 wine club member — we loved it that much! Great wine and a great experience. What more could one ask for?

The staff here is very knowledgeable and we loved that they wanted to educate us. My husband and I know what kinds of wines we like, but we never paid attention to the year the wines were made. Eric did an awesome job educating us. He told us why the years make a difference. He was funny and kept us engaged during our tasting. We told Eric what wines we liked and he removed the tasting list. He wanted us to drink what we enjoyed. It was so nice not to have to stick to a list. The tasting room had many bottles open so they allowed us to go on a journey with them, tasting the Reds we liked. We enjoyed the wines and atmosphere here. We walked away happy, educated, and with some more bottles of wine for our collection.

As a local AND someone in the wine biz, this is the one winery that I take visitors to for a great experience. The wines are fabulous and well priced. The décor is definitely quirky and the staff is too, and that’s what makes it so much fun. A unique experience that every one of my visiting friends/relatives have loved. I highly recommend this place.

If you’re a wine snob keep looking, this isn’t the place for you! This did not strike me as a typical Napa Valley vineyard and I appreciated it. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. Yes, there are quite a few sex references but it wasn’t obnoxious in any way. The gal behind the counter was fun, light hearted and attractive and made the experience entertaining. They have a special menu of their 3 sweetest wines and I loved all 3. The first was a Riesling which was crisp and delicious. The other two were reds and the last was so sweet I nearly choked. It would be delicious on a cold winter night. Overall I loved this place and we may come back tonight once our tour is over!

In our 4 days in Napa, this was the most fun we had at a tasting. We were recommended by Karen from the place we were staying, The Inn on Randolph. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and treated like one of them(you’ll see when you meet these awesome people). We were recommended to try the wine and chocolate pairing. We loved all of the wines but fell in love with Collide! So good. Our bartender, Sonia(?) was hilarious and treated us to a wonderful time. We can’t wait to go back!

Really fun place to visit… it was our last stop before heading to the airport so we had to rush a little bit, but next time we’ll go back when we can taste at a less-hurried pace. My wife and I agreed that the 2011 Collide was our favorite — very drinkable red — but I also liked the 2009 Acha, which was heavy on the Tempranillo. It started with a bite but settled into a very mellow finish. The staff was great, and they played a good mix of 80s and 90s music while we were there. It was not the typical tasting room — everyone there wanted to have a good time and we appreciated their enthusiasm.

When in Napa you must try these wines! We loved this tasting as it was fun and the guys running it are very knowledgable. The wines were incredible … We especially loved the red selection. It was recommended to us by the inn on Randolph and we will definitely be spreading the word! Amazing!!!

Great little spot for wine tasting in the«city.» We wandered here after having lunch in the Oxbow Public Market! Service was fantastic, they’re super friendly, was very chill with all the pours and generous with all the tastings that we wanted! Everyone in our group ended up buying membership! :)

We came here on recommendation from our Bed & Breakfast, and it was a wonderful experience. Rachel was our pourer and she was so friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. She was also very accommodating– I don’t enjoy red wine, so she substituted different wines for me to try. Eric was there helping as well. You HAVE to get the chocolate pairings. They are incredible. It costs $ 18 and it is worth every penny. The chocolates pair perfectly, and are delicious on their own as well. They are made exclusively for Mark Herold and made the experience perfect. We even bought a box to go because it was just that good. You also have to try the Riesling! It was my favorite out of everything we had in Napa Valley. We had a great experience and are looking forward to enjoying our wine!

You will love this winery. A wine tasting costs $ 20 but it is absolutely worth it(and they’ll surely waive the fee with a purchase as they are remarkably friendly). There is also a chocolate pairing to go with the wine tasting which I did not have but I’m sure would be great. A main reason you will love this winery is the excellent service. They are knowledgable, attentive and will adjust your tasting to meet your needs/preferences. On top of that, the wine is fantastic. I personally loved the Riesling, which was one of the best wines on my vacation and of which I ended up buying a bottle(and even considered purchasing a case). After our tasting and buying the wines, our server surprised us with a complementary sample of the reserve Cabernet(a $ 195 bottle). It may have been the best wine I have ever had! A definite must visit when in Napa!
