The first time: the only items you could order for food were from the fryer because of some issue with the utilities… Second time/last chance: The«restaurant» is named after the owner’s dog. Apparently, the dog roams freely throughout the place. I’m an animal lover but not everyone is comfortable with that type of situation. My parents are not. My father ordered fish and chips and the dog was right at his feet when he was trying to eat. He’s actually afraid of dogs! They then politely asked the bartender if maybe someone could call the dog away. On her way out, the owner took her dog, turned around and yelled«F YOU!» at my parents So that’s how the owner feels about her paying(and very respectful) customers!

Came for the lord of the wings challenge and got smoked wings that tasted burnt and bbq + hot sauce on the side. I was very disappointed.

I only came for the wings but the atmosphere and customer service was amazing!!! Juanita was very helpful and entertaining… the wings were smoked and delicious and pretty much fell off the bone! They also have live bands, karaōke, and great view of the ocean.

This place probably should give up on serving food. We ordered wings and jalapeño poppers. The wings were actually ok. We liked the hot sauce but not the super sweet bbq sauce. There is something off about the bacon here. We tried it in 3 different dishes, just wasn’t good, and it was undercooked on the poppers. We both got the brisket dinner with sides. The brisket was tender and would have been ok if they knew how to trim it. Customers don’t want a ton of fat on an already average portion. The coleslaw was bland. The beans were swimming in a sickeningly sweet sauce, not edible. Cornbread was dry. We ate our bland food because the waitress didn’t check back until I was done eating, and there is no salt and pepper on the table, a must at every restaurant for exactly this reason. We asked for butter for the cornbread when she finally did some around. and it came melted, by accident according to her. Cinnamon roll was ok but would be better without the bacon because of the off taste. Ice cream with bacon was not good because the ice cream was cheap and freezer burned, and again the weird bacon. So the food was mostly a fail. The waitress was nice I guess but not good at her job. She did not check on us when she should have and my friend ran out of water twice for awhile. And then she acted weird when my friend went to the bar to get water. So she is eating hot wings and jalapeño peppers. She went to get water and the woman told her that she would go bring the food out then bring water. Keep in mind she is right there behind the bar, why is this even a conversation??? My friend said that part of the jalapeño went down the wrong way. The woman then asks her if she really needs it right then. My friend is just annoyed at that point and walked away. The lady was chatting at the bar, not busy. Same thing later when we tried to order dessert. Keep in mind there are no other people eating dinner and only 2 desserts. At this point we had been there too long already. She came over and was about to clear plates and my friend tried to tell her which of the 2 things she wanted for dessert. The waitress says she will clear the table then come back and get the dessert order. This would be understandable if they were busy or if we had many people at our table or if there were more than 2 items. I don’t think she really needed to prepare in this situation and refuse to remember all of 2 things. She has no sense of customer service. I can’t really think of any reason to come back. The 2 stars is for the wings. Everything else was a fail. My friend and I felt exactly the same on all this stuff, and we go out quite a bit to these types of places. We both felt annoyed at spending so much on food that was not worth it.

Also I like seeing Hank the yellow lab there! He’s a cutie! I love that they use mason jars for everything and how they even have reading glasses for those who forget but need them! Nice touch! Drove 20 mi. round trip to try this place to be told«we just started reduced hours, we’re closed.» Irritating since we had checked the website that day«open 7 days until midnight». 2 weeks later checked the website again, still didn’t have the decency to update the days/hours. Food may be good — who knows — but customer courtesy and service grossly lacking. Not getting me to try again.

So disappointed. We drove here for lunch today and it was closed! We called and their answering machine said open 7 days a week beginning at noon, same with the sign on the door and Unilocal. Is this place still in business?

Stopped in for dinner the other evening for the first and last time. I walked in to a mostly empty restaurant at around 7:00pm. I sat at the bar and waited for the bartender to appear to take my drink order. Ten minutes went by without any employer even stepping foot in sight. During that time I took the opportunity to browse the menu which had been left at the bar. When the bartender finally appeared I placed my order, opting for the rib platter. The meal was served relatively quickly. The portion size was lacking however, featuring only two small rib bones and some fries. The ribs were terrible. No smoke ring at all. They tasted as if they were cooked in an oven with a light dousing of liquid smoke. The fries were okay. After paying my bill and leaving, I wondered why I didn’t just leave during the ten minutes that I had to wait for the bartender to appear. But maybe they were just having an off night? Perhaps someone called in sick and they were short staffed? Maybe I’d give them a second chance at some point. At least that’s what I thought until this afternoon when my Capital One credit card alerted my of an unusually large tip. I then checked my online statement and discovered that the bartender inflated the tip by 50%! So, strike 1 is terrible service. Strike 2 is terrible food. And now we have strike 3, which is stealing from customers.

Mehhhhhhhh. Location sucks. This place is a hangout for the fishermen because of its proximity to the docks. Not that it is a bad thing, but the area stinks of fish. We chose to eat on the deck and there aren’t any tables outside but rather small plastic side tables that you have to eat hunched over into it. As for the Q, beans blew, slaw was old, Mac and cheese was LOADED with pepper, and the ribs had jarred BBQ sauce on it. Ribs as far as tenderness were okay but they didn’t take the silver skin off it. Dahhhhho! We got fried pickles and they were too thick, you have to slice them thin!!! Advise against it if you are looking for real Q.

Went here for lunch last Saturday and had a great experience. The food seemed to be homemade and tasted quite good. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals which ranged from nachos to chili to Mac and cheese sandwich to pulled pork. Everything was quite tasty. Aside from that, the bartender/waitress Bobbi Jo was an absolute pleasure to be around. She really made the experience great.

We come here for a big meal after a fishing trip with a group of visually impaired fishermen. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. Each year I look forward to the pulled pork, baked bean medley and cole slaw! So good add their buffalo sauce for a special kick.

We tried quite literally everything here between a large group. Food is mediocre at best. Service deserves a bar rescue. Scratch that John Taffer shouldn’t waste his time here. After about 7 attempts the server got our bill close to correct. DJ for karaōke wasn’t bad. This place should stick to beer and music and cut food out entirely. Too bad because of all the BBQ I’ve eaten this was the first to truly disappoint me. I think I’d rather eat a McRib :)

Great time if you like food cooked in sweet baby rays and a two hour dinner when the place im has no one in it enjoy. A drunk waitress took four times to get bill right. I’d rather enjoy a sunset on a sinking ship.

What a great surprise. We had the wings and they were the best we ever had. The staff really welcomed you and just made that comfortable feeling. Enjoyed the band. Music was not too loud — just perfect. If you are in the Galilee area, this is a must. We have lived here for 30 years and just did not know about Hank’s. Going back very soon. And we hope Hank will be there. Thanks for a great night!

Great spot! I was shocked at how cool Hank’s is and it’s amazing location! I went with some friends and they had great music, very mixed crowd, delicious food. We got the fish tacos, chile and cornbread and it was outstanding! Honestly — I just felt like I was in a cool New England type of place with good food, nice folks, great music, on the water, and in a cool spot. Plus — looks like they have lots of great music all of the time and we are going for karaōke as well as Sunday Blues — so glad I found it!

I tried Hanks for lunch today and the BBQ pulled pork was great. The meat was smoked in house and the coleslaw was also obviously made there as well. The fried pickles were battered in corn meal and served with a tangy dipping sauce. All the food was great and, even with just one server on duty, the service was excellent. The owner/head chef is super enthusiastic about what she does and gladly gives tours of the kitchen. Hank, the restaurants mascot, was also on hand and was all to happy to receive some attention. Hanks is a great option in Galilee, especially if you are with someone with a seafood allergy. I can’t eat any fish or seafood and this is one place where I know I won’t have to worry about.

Quite a pleasant surprise to find such good food in an out-of-the-way bar with lukewarm reviews on Unilocal.Came to hear the band(shout-out to Biscuit City!), and the food was great. Pulled pork sandwich and ribs both very good, and not too sweet. Fries were good. Reasonable selection of beers. Friendly place, good service. Will definitely be back!

We ignored the one star rating that was posted — big mistake! We both got the ½ rack of ribs. Served on a plastic tray with a piece of paper on the tray — not sanitary considering the paper broke down and there was the tray with the food directly on it. Food came with cheap plastic knife and fork — if the ribs were«fall off the bone» it might have worked. Ribs weren’t that tender and plastic forks broke — we asked for real silverware and it did come. Didn’t like the beans or coleslaw either. Will never return to eat. Best part of the night was«Sun Green» the band that was playing. They were very good and we enjoyed them — we’d come back and have drinks to listen to them, but not eat.

My girlfriend and I came here last night for some BBQ and karaōke. This has become one of our favorite spots. The drinks were awesome! I tried two of their special cocktails and I have to say they were pretty unique. The place is unpretentious, with paper towels for napkins and cute mason jars to drink from. It’s a comfy, no frills kind of place, their focus is on a great bar and awesome BBQ. We both had the wings which were the best I ever had. Smoked wings are my favorite and these did not disappoint. I had the ribs and she had the pulled pork sandwich. The ribs fell off the bone, and even though I’m not a big pulled pork person, my gf’s sandwich was pretty delicious. Karaōke was a blast. We’ve been here before on Saturday nights for the live music, but figured we would give karaōke a shot. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Well, I though this place deserves a review. Id rather not after one visit, but they really Smoke there wings! It’s all I’ve had but they need to be on the map. Staff are great, dogs welcome on the deck, stop by for the music, or kill sometime with the sunset!
