This place had such a nice atmosphere, so when I came in I had very high hopes. The staff were very nice and everything seemed very fancy. As an appetizer I had a salad, which had too much dressing, but besides that was okay. I give this place two stars because the entrees were horrible. I got the lasagna which was two bites of pasta with a giant plate full of ground beef. This«lasagna» had little to no pasta and I was not impressed. My aunt ordered the veal, which lacked in flavor. The only half decent entrée was the lamb chops, which were good. The dessert was pretty good, but not amazing. If you go to this restaurant, go in with very low expectations and it may be a little better.

3.5 Casa D’Angelo was able to accommodate a large group of us for dinner with an ala carte menu. The restaurant is located within Atlantis in between the Beach and Coral Towers and is very formal looking; the wait staff even wear white jackets. We were seated and asked what kind of water we’d like(tap vs bottled); then the waiter just started removing the wine glasses from the table and never even asked us if we wanted a drink. Very odd. Our orders were taken and some bruschetta was brought over for the table. The servers were very friendly and did the best restaurant rendition of Happy Birthday I’ve ever experienced. With that said for the prices Casa D’Angelo is charging they could do a better job at training the wait staff. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised with the food and would have rated them a true 4 if the service was a bit better and the fact that they are very pricey. Like $ 40 for mushroom ravioli seems extreme. We started with the Tuscan Soup which was loaded with flavor and included cannellini beans and veggies. It was really good. The antipasto for 2 is presented beautifully and includes Parma Prosciutto, Mortadella, Salami, cheese, artichokes, olives, tomatoes and figs. High quality ingredients that were wonderful. For the entrees my husband and I shared the lasagna bolognese and the grilled ribeye. The lasagna was a fairly large serving, but it came out cold even though the plate was hot(this seemed to be an ongoing theme with food in the Bahamas). When I informed the waiter he was apologetic and brought it back to the kitchen and it was returned piping hot. The lasagna was quite good, the meat and sauce were flavorful and it was a hearty dish. The grilled 20 oz rib eye was well seasoned, cooked just right and was tender and juicy; served with asparagus potatoes and crispy onions it was a satisfying dish. Everyone at the table cleaned their plates and seemed to enjoy their food. Desserts were also very good as was the coffee. The meal was served at a good pace and we did have a very pleasant time. Casa D’Angelo offers an upscale experience with some really good food, just be prepared to pay for it.

Maybe it was what we ordered but for the price and the comparisons to the other amazingly exquisite restaurants at this resort this has to be the worst one yet! The food was bland tasting. I mean I never add salt and I doused the entire meal in it! I ordered the cheese and tomato salad, the soup and then the spaghetti and meatballs. For the price we paid,(which is the sans at other restaurants on site) we could have ate better… Not to mention the service took forever to start once they sat us down, but they were polite so the stars are for the servers and none for the food

A fancy Italian place near the Casino. It’s more often closed than open, but the menu looked great, so we decided to give it a chance. The décor is very elegant and classy: light-coloured walls, pictures of still life on the walls, small lamps on and above the tables. But the most beautiful part of the room is the ceiling. The fresco is simply breathtaking as it was stolen from some hall in Versal. I loved looking at it. The tables are nicely set and there is a lot of space around so you are not sitting to close to another clients. However, they must have had some problems with air-conditioning as it was very chilly inside and after an hour it went from mildly annoying to very unpleasant. The waiter approached us after 10 minutes and after 15 more we ordered. I decided on Creamy Burrata Cheese, Figs, Organic Arugula, Basil Pesto as an appetizer and Risotto Piemontese(Crispy Pancetta, Alpine Porcini Mushrooms, White Truffle Oil, Fresh Ricotta) as main. The appetizer was great, very light and tasty. The main — complete opposite — it was very filling and not good at all. It had really specific heavy taste, probably too much truffle oil(I usually like the taste of truffles, but that was too much). I ate 1⁄5 of my dish and decided to retire to my room as my stomach started to ache. Not the best of evenings. I might have picked the wrong thing though, as my friends generally were quite happy with their food. And the wine was very good. So not a total disaster. Prices are rather high and I’m yet to decide if it’s worth the money.
