Renee and the Bistro did the catering for my wedding and rehearsal dinner, and I have also had dinner/lunch there several times. I can tell you I have not had a bite of food yet that wasn’t top notch! I am from New Orleans and planned a destination wedding in Natchez. It was hard at first to find a caterer who was willing to work with my budget, but also give me incredible food. I looked at several different chefs, but when I found Renee I knew I had found my match!!! She was so overwhelmingly welcoming and hospitable to not only her restaurant, but her city. She helped me in any way she could through out the planning process. During the dinner and the wedding both her and her staff were so helpful and attentive and FUN!!! Rolling River helped me make the wedding I always dreamed of! I can not say enough good things about this restaurant, it’s food, and its owner. If you are visiting Natchez, this HAS to be one of your stops! My favorites and must tries are the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and dirty martinis!!! :)

This was my second visit on a Saturday night. I was seated promptly, given great drinks from the bar promptly superb dirty martini), and had a really nice meal. And for the second time, treated to some really great live music. The best item on the menu: charbroiled oysters. There’s no one waiting at the door to seat people(as stated in other reviews) but I was spotted by a waitress who was friendly and seated us quickly.

I would give this place a horrible negative star review! Christmas dinner here place was not busy. We waited 20 min before any one came to our table. That is after I asked for someone to come over. We ordered water to start and the waiter brought one glass I guess for four of us to share. We waited 1hr 20min for appetizer and once again they were not busy. Only received that because I asked the manager to come over. Finally appetizer came out and it wasn’t even complete. How do you eat spinach dip without chips or pita? Over 2 hours into service two burgers brought out one burnt and with meat and bun only the other raw. The shrimp and grits was simple inedible and was sent back. Salmon surprisingly was the only dish worth eating and was mediocre at best. Waiter removed the shrimp and grits from bill however the manager or owner glared as if he was angry. I mean come on over three hours!

NASTY!!! Lobster ravioli had no sauce it also tasted rancid and fishy, the Waiter agreed and comped our bill for it. Seafood lasagna was basically lasagna with Velveeta cheese. Overall not good experience. We also heard lots of yelling not sure if it was from the kitchen or the staff… Miller lite was good though!

This was our second try at restaurant and will not go back. First visit service was bad, but second try food was very bad. Both our dishes were very cold and not cooked as ordered. Ordered the tuna listed on menu rare it came well done with ice cold mash potatoes. The signature seafood lasagna, it would have been good if warm. If you want live music, this is your place but do not eat there. You will pay high price for low quality food.

We spent the weekend in Natchez with CENLA chapter AACA«Antique Automobile Club of America» and we used this restaurant for both Friday and Saturday nights. They did an excellent job overall, service was great, charm, hospitality, and the most important thing of all the food was EXCELLENT. Southern hospitality at its finest!

The evening started out a bit rough with the wine ordering but the owner recovered very well with personal service, entertainment and a newly found bottle of wine! The evening improved over time with the highlight being superb salads. The service improved as well. The live music was excellent! I would recommend giving the restaurant a try.

If I could I WOULDNOTGIVETHISPLACE1STAR! I went out to spend some time with parties who where leaving town, so we went out after work. A lot of places are not open when I get off of work, so I had a limited selection. The sign above the place was situated above another door. And there was a man dressed in manager’s attire outside of the door, on the phone, Before we entered we were asked our destination. I told the man where we were headed and he directed… The man directed me into the restaurant. When we walked through the door everyone was looked at us. No one seated us. So, I assumed that we had to seat ourselves. There was no one behind the bar and the girl dressed in all black(which I am assuming was a waitress) was going back and forth between the kitchen and the dining area. Eventually, the bartender gets up from the other side of the bar where the patrons were sitting, and gets behind the bar. I just knew then we were going to be acknowledged. He continued to ignore us., as did the waitress. After about 10+ mins with no service. I decided to go somewhere else. As soon as I got in my car, the bartender steps out of the door we just left through(which is right next to the table we were sitting at). He wouldn’t come over that way until we left. This type of thing is hurtful. We were the only people of color in the place and we were the only ones NOT being served… Screw you Rolling River Bistro! I ask all of you who who live in, or visit Natchez, not to go to this establishment.

Great Saturday gospel brunch. Amazing music and food! Whether the chicken and waffles like I’ve never had before or the eggplant topped with crabmeat and crawfish… wow! Delicious paired with the pitchers of bloody Mary’s. This is a convenient location within walking distance to anything downtown. Thanks for a memorable time!

Hmmmm. Good dinner, but a couple of bugaboos. Surf and Turf was shrimp and filet, not shrimp and ribeye as advertised. Good but not ribeyes! And dessert was supposed to be ice cream and chocolate cake but instead was brownie, which was actually better. Nice ambiance and good bloody Mary’s. Will try again… Pasta is freshly made, so that is next!
