Cute place right next to Natick Village, the West Natick commuter rail stop, and 135. When they opened, we lived in Natick Village and would walk here on many summer nights. Quality ice cream, but our favorite part was the service – they’re just so nice! Definitely stop by, this place deserves to do well.

They serve Richardsons ice cream which is a big plus however all of the ice cream had noticeable freezer burn which is the reason for the two star rating.

While riding around my old hood, I stopped in at Jimmy’s Jimmies for a bite to eat, which is located at Natick Crossings next to the West Natick Commuter Rail station. Formerly the Black Cow, Jimmy’s Jimmies Ice Cream Café is a cozy and bright ice cream shop offering several flavors of Richardson’s Ice Cream(very popular in New England), sherbet, sorbet, and frozen yogurt, as well as sugar free and low fat options. They offer cones, cups, waffle cones(plain or dipped), sundaes, shakes, floats and frappes, plus paninis, hot dogs, soup, packaged baked goods, coffee, and cold drinks. They also have ice cream cakes and hand packed pints and quarts of ice cream to go in the freezer. There are a few tables inside the shop and also outside covered table seating in front of the shop. The prices here are moderate including regular cones(1 scoop $ 2.89÷2 scoops $ 3.89÷3 scoops $ 4.89), sundaes($ 5.89-$ 6.49), banana split($ 6.99), and ice cream drinks($ 4.49-$ 5.79). Again, it is Richardson’s Ice Cream they are scooping. The place was steadily busy on a warm Sunday night. There was only one staff member working behind the counter so it took a while before I could order. I finally decided on the Super Special, which was a Hot Dog and Milk Shake for only $ 4.49 plus tax, a very good deal! The hot dog was grilled under a hot press and the milk shake(I got coffee) was made to order in a covered blender using regular whole milk, coffee syrup, and several scoops of low fat coffee ice cream, topped with whipped cream. The service was pleasant and efficient. The grilled long hot dog was served on a soft New England hot dog roll, and I topped it with honey mustard, creamy horseradish, and relish, going well with my coffee shake. The good sized coffee ice cream shake was cold, sweet, and refreshing. I was enjoying the coffee shake on the hour ride back up north to NH. My old place was walking distance and only less than a mile from here.
