My family used to come to this Mayhugh’s Store like 15 years ago. We used to get fresh crabs from there. They had big pit BBQ’s and crabs by the bushel. Time may have changed a lot of the area but Mayhughes remains the same. Sells lottery tickets/drinks/chips/ice cream from a freezer and they have a small deli inside. They sell chip beef gravy. I’ve gotten it a couple times pre-Yelp. Nice people there also.

I gotta say, this place has drinks I don’t usually see which I love. I do recommend them for gas prices, and good products and variety. This place is about a 6 to me, I think about all the things it could be. Currently a couple country ladies running the register and hanging out. The have this great long glass display that is not being utilized to its best ability. They would add so much more by getting a Boar’s head rep in there, and building a deli into this place for some serious cash. I think they do make sandwiches(ham and cheese on white bread, but currently the store does not smell the greatest due to past years of residual smoke build up of days gone by. But a de-funking and a great menu and product to offer up deli subs — would make this a really great place I would visit more. I would really like to see them offer something other than smoked ham and biscuits.

Interesting little country store — a combination of convenience store, grocery, hot foods, hardware, and a smattering of outdoor gear — primarily some fishing hardware, firearms ammunition, and some camping supplies.
