Ice cream was creamy but not heavy like most ice cream. Not full of ice chunks either which was even better. Nice and smooth. Got the black raspberry and also a scoop of chocolate. Not too sweet either. I sound like Goldilocks but it went down good after spicy BBQ(which I had at a place down the street).

I’m sorry, but this place is just boring and very sub par. The sign outside was cute and it has an awesome play on words for the store name, but the sign is the best part of this place. The ice cream in general is boring and the presentation is boring. Notice the theme here? In a nice little town of New Hope, I expected way more. The look of the menu will make you yawn and the décor is even worse. There is absolutely nothing going on inside… there should be drawings of cows, a statue of a cow, the employees should wear cow themed hats, SOMETHING! With an artsy town like New Hope, you couldn’t find an artist to draw on your menu or buy paintings or sculptures to dress up the place? That’s just plain lazy. The people that work there are BASIC and don’t seem like they want to be there. This is not a place to bring a date for some ice cream after a nice romantic stroll around town. Such a disappointment! 2 stars for the unique«Joey Bag Of Donuts» flavor!

was hoping to cap off our date night with some good ice cream… i usually don’t leave negative reviews but I believe we paid $ 3.75 for one scoop of ice cream. The cones were empty and we only one small scoop on top so we were not too impressed. I emailed the owners about whether this was their normal method of handing out ice cream or if it was just an inexperience server but I got no reply.

I was going to an event at Havana and had looked at Unilocal in advance to see what the dessert options are in new hope. Moo hopes ice cream flavors looked the most interesting so I had to stop by. Honestly, I was a little disappointed. They had a few unique flavors and only the blueberry and coffee grinds tasted good when I sampled them. The texture of the ice creams was not creamy enough. I found their prices steep. I ended up buying a kids size for $ 3.75. It was one tiny scoop of ice cream. The young man who served me was kind enough to split the scoop in half between two flavors. I got blueberry which was on the icy side and coffee grinds which I liked because of the delicious chocolate crunchies. The ice cream was decent but no where close to the best ice cream I’ve ever had.

Went there over the weekend and we stopped in for some ice cream, glad I passed on buying. She had black cherry vanilla in a cup. When I was watching the people scoop the ice cream I noticed it looked more chunky then a creamy texture. When she started eating it after we paid, she said it tasted like it was freezer burnt even though they had to open a new tub to fill her order. I tried a little and wasn’t too impressed. Good luck

I was looking forward to ice cream after we went out to dinner… what a disappointment. I never through out ice cream but this ended up in the trash. I ordered Phat Elvis, banana ice cream with peanut butter and fudge in it. The ice cream had neither peanut butter nor fudge in it. It was crumbly and not creamy and also very icy. So disappointed I threw it away and had a little bit of ice cream out of my own freezer when I got home. It was so much better. I was not the only one in my party who was disappointed.

I stopped in on a weekday afternoon. There’s seating opposite the counter(maybe six tables) but I didn’t see any outside. I had the kids size chocolate pudding crunch, which was chocolate pudding ice cream with graham cracker crumbs. It was very rich and not too sweet; I liked it. Their cookies and cream was good, too. However, their coffee ice cream didn’t have much coffee flavor. Also, they just plopped the scoop right on top of the cone, which means nothing was actually in the cone. Staff were pretty friendly and didn’t keep us waiting. They only accept cash!

I was looking forward to going to a local store that made their own ice cream, but I ended up sorely disappointed. I used to work in an ice cream shop and I know that it can be difficult, but the service and the ice cream was very sub par. After I walked in with my friend, it took the unfriendly staff(3 people) ten minutes to help us. There was only one other small group in the store with only one worker helping them; the other workers were standing around. I asked for whipped cream on my scoop and the worker took a very long time to scoop the ice cream and put on the whipped cream. When he finally handed it to me, he had given me the smallest little dollop of whipped cream that I have ever seen, and it was piled vertically onto my scoop. After paying the price of half a full can a whipped cream just for the little dollop, I was greatly disappointed by the very small amount of whipped cream that I received… And it slipped right off of my ice cream immediately after I paid because of the way he had put it on. The ice cream itself had almost no flavor. It was very bland and had an unpleasant texture as if it hadn’t been properly churned and aerated. I got«moose trail» which is supposed to have fudge and peanut butter cups in it. There was so little fudge swirled in that it barely showed in the ice cream and you barely tasted it. There was also only ½ of a peanut butter cup in my cup. Very disappointing trip to an over-priced store that I had high hopes for.

This is one of the best ice cream places I’ve ever been too, second only to the Franklin Fountain in Philly. I recommend their Fat Elvis & anything with their vanilla as a base.

Walked passed this ice cream shop and made a mental note to get something on the way back to the car. I walked around this cute town and came back to this home made ice cream shop. My inner fat girl wouldn’t let me skip lol. I tasted about 3 different flavors and decided to get 2 scoops. One scoop of the jersey shore, vanilla ice cream with salted caramel ribbons throughout, and a scoop of coffee crunch. Light coffee flavored ice cream with chocolate crunches in it. I loved both and I’m sure everyone else agrees bc it was packed. They also do milk shakes but that was too heavy for me at the moment.

It was a very hit Saturday afternoon and we passed by this home made ice cream shop. Of course I couldn’t passed the temptation and went inside. The place seems very popular since it was packed. After trying about three different flavors I went with my forever favorite ice cream flavor rum raisin. I consider myself a rum raisin connoisseur since I been eating this flavor since I was about 5 yrs old. Well this ice cream shop did not disappoint, it was delicious and very creamy. This is an only cash place.

I, too, am shocked at the lack of reviews for this place. While visiting New Hope with a friend, he pointed out that this particular location used to be an ice cream place that he went to as a kid. The overall décor inside is very simple and airy with some seating. I ordered a kid’s size of the Midnight Jersey Shore(chocolate ice cream with salted caramel and brownie bits), which was freaking amazing. I tasted my friend’s Nutter Butter and that was also great. The kid’s size was plenty big for me and reasonably priced. Loved it. I know there are a ton of ice cream joints in New Hope, so I wanted to point out that this is one worth going to!

I am so disappointed. I have actually never tasted the ice cream, due to the establishment NEVER being opened. I have been to New Hope multiple times since since Gerenser’s closed and Moo Hope moved in. I have been dying to try the new ice cream shop, but they are never opened, even when their Unilocal page states they are. I am looking at the closed Moo Hope ice cream as I write this review. This will be my last attempt to try this ice cream. BRINGGERENSER’S BACK!

I’m am STUNNED that this place has no reviews considering it always has a packed house when you pass by! Moo Hope Ice Cream is like a local mom and pop shop, with teenagers running the parlor and serving up some delicious treats. The have a hand written menu that changes here and there with some fun flavors like my favorite Salted Caramel Vanilla and then the regular classics. I like the ice cream here because it isn’t overly sweet as in some places and for a children’s cone($ 3.50) you get a HEAPING amount of ice cream in your cone; so save your money and go small. They do have some seating inside, but not too much, not like you really need to in a gorgeous little town like New Hope. The staff is super friendly, and is happy to let you try any flavor you want before committing. Just be warned that the ice cream shop is right next to that delicious little French bakery and you may need to stop into both(thank me later).
