After waiting for over an hour & 15 minutes and only getting an appetizer & soda, my kids & I had to leave to get to a rehearsal (that I was running, so couldn’t be late!). Anticipating that we’d need to run out quickly I paid the bill in advance. At an hour I asked the server to bring to go boxes with our entrée. I was kind and patient, even though several other tables came & went after us… and truly they were mobbed. Obviously, a mistake had been made & our order fell through the cracks somewhere… frustrating, but no big, right? That is until my refunded receipt came back & I was charged for the app & sodas. When I asked to speak to the manager he was EXTREMELY condescending & said that I should be «grateful» he didn’t make me pay the whole bill. He then proceeded to tell me how old he was (Uhm…k), how many restaurants he owned & how outrageous it was to expect an apology and a free app. After telling him that my kids & I are frequent customers who had always loved eating there and what a shame it was that because he was so rude we wouldn’t be back, he proceeded to TAKE A WAD OF MONEY OUT OF HIS POCKET AND THROW A $ 20 AT ME!!! Yeah… and this was the proud owner.

No complaints from my family! We love this place. Even when the parking lot looks full we always get a table right away. The staff is extremely well trained and friendly, we go here all the time and have never had an issue with waiting or our orders.
The menu is huge and the food quality is excellent, I’ve even had the seafood salad (something which I’d normally never order from a diner) and I was extremely happy with it.

Yup. Went there last night. Still awful.
This place makes The American Pie Company in Sherman look like a gourmet restaurant.
Once again, English muffins were burnt or hockey pucks. Took us a half hour to get our eggs and the waiter told us it was because the toaster wasn’t working properly.
Who has a diner that can’t toast bread properly?

I have been here twice and the service was poor both times, the food was okay but not impressive. The first time I went here, the food came out cold, our order was messed up, we never got silverware, and the wait staff was too busy playing on their cell phones to check on us. The second time was equally as disastrous. It’s a shame!

Once again, another disorganized, loud, incomplete order gone wrong. I ordered the Ruben and got dried out corn beef mess on marble rye toast. Thank goodness for the french fries or I would’ve been starving. Service could have been better since we didn’t have any cutlery on the table until the meals arrived but that’s not a big deal. On a positive note, the coleslaw is tasty. Moral of the story? He who keeps eating bad meal at diner should go to restaurant next time.

Been here countless times and this place never lets me down. The staff are polite, and always ready to recommend favorites. This place was made with the perfect amount of tacky diner qualities, and it looks so cool! This place annihilates any other diner it could be compared to.

This place has great diner food. Some of the best around in my opinion. However the waitstaff are hit or miss depending on who you get and the time you get there. Waiting to give your order when there are 5 tables in the entire place that need to be waited on to arguments held right out on the floor between staff are just a few things I’ve witnessed.

We have eaten here many times and I always love it. It is important to go in expecting diner food… the menu is huge and not everything on it is amazing. That being said, I have had some very high quality meals here when ordering off the specials menu. In fact, they did a hanger steak soft taco dish one day that was so amazing, I still dream of it. Fresh, real food ingredients paired perfectly… I wish they had it every time I was in! My mainstay on the menu is the cranberry walnut salad, which is so much better than its name.
Finally, go here for the wonderful, friendly, quick service. They really take care of you.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. I’ve been here a handful of times and have never left disappointed. I don’t think the wait for 2 people is ever an issue, as I have come on weekends during the rush and was still seated right away. The wait staff is consistently friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is comfortable while lively. I would rate this place as an upscale diner, as the food is not your typical run-​of-​the-​mill diner fare. Portions are large, and the salads are amazing. Their fajita salad made my eyes pop. So did the dessert display with its array of impressive cakes. Plan to come back again whenever the mood strikes.

Nice, new, clean and played country music so that was a win win for me. Ordered tuna melt which was ok with side of their fries. Nothing fancy. I then ordered dessert & thought i ordered carrot cake but was brought chocolate cake instead. The cake part was dry but the mouse part was excellent. Very rich and a huge piece that it could easily served 2 – 3 people. Good service and the Price was = to value. Will probably go back for breakfast next time.

Stopped by for some quick breakfast before a long day. I sat at the counter and after 3 minutes I was greeted by a server. I had to reach over the counter to get a menu — one should have been presented to me with suggestions. The menu is absolutely filthy. FILTHY! I didn’t even want to touch it and turn the page but I guess I had to.
Since I needed a second to glance over everything, I asked the server to come back in a literal minute. Five minutes later she appeared and I ordered a D’Luxe breakfast.
The meal arrived quickly and it was adequate.
This place is rough around the edges but they are decent. Not the best, not the worst — just a very little above average. I would give them 3-​stars bit their filthy menus bring them down to a 2-​star rating.
They haven’t done anything to keep me from coming back so I’ll be back.

Pleasant and efficient staff. Someone making regular rounds for coffee refills although getting decaf was more of a wait. Kitschy décor touches make this diner cute but a bit too precious.
We arrived midmorning and only a few tables were full. The parking lot had been mega crowded the first few months after opening, but this has since dwindled. Management is prepared for a return to the those earlier busy months; there was a large amount of staff on duty available for the not so many patrons.
Breakfast ended up being a huge but bland affair, subscribing to the more is better style of eating. If you’re looking for Connecticut countryside home made corn beef hash, there are other options elsewhere in town.
Ordered a grapefruit juice to go with my meal, took a sip and asked the server if this was actually juice. She was kind enough to bring the bottle when I asked to see it, which read as «juice drink» on the label. She offered to take it away and remove it from the check which was a nice gesture. Good spot for those that don’t mind grapefruit juice with added sugars and 8 other ingredients which were not grapefruit.

We had breakfast here on a January weekday around 10am. The diner wasn’t busy and seemed well staffed but our service was very slow. I wouldn’t recommend heading there if you’re in a rush. Since, at that time of day, it seemed slow, I would have expected someone to be picking up the garbage that had blown into their area. Sure, it was a very windy day but their sidewalk and front door area had all sorts of small paper/​plastic trash littering the space. It doesn’t leave a good first impression.
On this particular day, the restaurant was quite cold. They said the heat wasn’t getting the building much over 60. I hope they’ve worked that out.
As for the food, it was just okay. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and a couple of pancakes. It was adequate but unremarkable. There are many breakfast options to choose from in the area; I’ll make a different choice next time.
I’d give them another chance for lunch one day.

Tonight was the fourth visit to this diner for dinner. The food is good, service good, atmosphere nice. However, as we were eating (our table was a booth), I looked up, and the light above our heads was covered with thick dust and cobwebs (and not purposely placed there for Halloween). Because of the air conditioning, the filth was blowing around, and certainly could have fallen into our food. I completely lost my appetite. When we went to pay, I told the waitress at the register about it, but a customer should not have had to observe or be subject to such unsanitary conditions.
Clean up your act people! Ugh!

This a nice and clean diner. It has a modern and retro look to it. They serve regular diner meals, it is very affordable. The meal presentation ia great and very appealing. Coffee is good. For a diner this is a great place, very relaxing and kick back. Staff are very friendly.
I always order the diner benedict and cornbeef hash, taste always good. Food Presentation is clean and simple, which i really appreciate because if a diner serve my food sloppy i will probably not eat it. so yes this diner place is a good place to eat if your around the area, and you wanna kick off your shoes and relax.

This diner gets a 4-​star diner rating.
Although it’s a bit out of the way, we enjoy eating here as a change of pace from the diners in our area.
Pros: large menu selection, huge portions, delicious fries, free soda/​coffee refills. Very accommodating with dietary/​allergy needs.

I’ve been in 7 – 8 times now and have had a good experience each time but my last visit really stood out. I brought my daughter and her friends in for some late night desserts with her friends. They wanted to sit at their own table without mom and dad so we obliged and my wife and I decided to belly up to the soda fountain. This soda fountain also happens to pour a nice beer so, bonus points!
As I sat there enjoying my tall frosty beer with the wife and watching our daughter and friends at a distance and smiling I couldn’t help watching our dessert chef/​bartender working away happily making desserts. His work ethic, attitude and enthusiasm were refreshing. He truly took pride in his work!
When the girls ice cream desserts (which looked delicious) were done and our beers were empty, I couldn’t resist letting this young man behind the counter know how much he impressed me. His name was John R, and to the owner of Dinerluxe I would like to say, John is a true asset and reflects well upon your business!

Went to Dinerluxe after reading conflicting reviews and wanted to try for myself.
Went on a Wednesday night, they were out of bread and salad. Our server didn’t mention this and never appeared so that we could ask until our meal arrived. When we asked him his answer was oops I’ll see if I can find something, and came back with what looked like sandwich bread sliced… pretty disappointing. My turkey dinner was lukewarm, and the presentation was sloppy… and the whole thing not very tasty at all. I’d like to say I would go back, but no I don’t think I will waste my money again. Not even an offer to take something off the bill for the lack of the side salads or bread… not great customer service.
