I called to place an order, second thing they asked was for my address which is in the north end of new Rochelle, about 2 miles away from them if that. He said where is that I don’t know I explained it and he said not going to send someone, I said its only 2 miles away. The guy said ok then if it’s only 2 miles come pick it up thanks bye.

Tried this place twice for delivery. Both times were subpar. Appetizers are low grade frozen fair. Calzone was bland and charred. Pizza was middle of the road. Good crust at least.

WORST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!!! FELT SICK TO MY STOMACH AFTER TAKING ONE BITE OF IT. plus on top of that I told the guy on the phone twice to make sure my pizza is cooked well done please, it comes an hour and a half later way undercooked like they did it on purpose. I had to put it in the oven for an extra 20 min. Never ordering from this place again!

I’ve been coming here for many years, and I only order one thing from here. It’s the bbq rib slice pizza, and quite frankly it’s been slacking as of late, the crust is extremely dry and feels like it’s missing something. The other issue here is they only will allow you to use a debit/​credit card with a minimum $ 15 purchase to you need to over buy in order to use a card for those who don’t carry a lot of cash. I normally don’t carry much cash at all, so I was expecting to pay with my card and when I told I wasn’t able to use it unless I purchased 15 $ worth of food or drink I was going to walk out. But I really wanted someone to try that slice, so I elected to over buy this one and only time, NEVER AGAIN, if I order and they say I need X amount in order to use my card, I will walk out. Other then that this a normal small pizzeria, on duty staff is OK. Pizza has changed here and is subpar.

Pizza is good but service sucks. I’m preggo and had a pozza craving at 2:30 am, so decided to order a cheese pie, which took more than an hour. Sad thing is by the time I received it, it was cold and had to put it in the oven for another 30 min. Sucks haaa

I lived in New Rochelle and in NY for many years before moving to Houston. And while I loved A No 1 then, I reaaaaaallly miss it now. It was literally perfect New York pizza and I miss it. Even the garlic knots were bomb.
Ignore the bad reviews and taste and enjoy. It may all be a fleeting memory one day…

Don’t waste your time ordering from this place. Unfortunately they are opened very late so I’m guessing that’s why they haven’t gone out of business yet. Almost all the food is very tasteless. These people are very cunning as well. Make sure you always ask for your receipt cause they like to play games and add unnecessary charges if you ordering more than one or two items. I placed an order for a few people and they charged tax on every single item instead of it at the end with the total. Very unprofessional staff working here. The place is not run by Italians who know how to make their pizza but a bunch of Mexicans/​Hispanics (not to be racist at all) that have no idea how to make the food right. Terrible experience and I’ll never order from here again if no changes are made with management, staff and especially the food.

this place is absolutely 100% a certified garbage dump. anything u eat from hear is not only disgusting! but you will pay the ultimate price the next day. the staff go hand in hand with the food that they serve. Please do the community a favor & close your doors!

I’ve ordered from this place several times, each time the food is hit or miss. The last time I ordered they charged me for extras like bacon but didn’t give it to me. Since they stay open very late it’s hard not to give them your business in a town were most deliveries are done at 11pm. I recently called and the guy was nasty. Instead of confirming my order that I placed online, he proceeds to berate me about how I cancelled my last order. He said it was because I didn’t want to wait 45 mins for delivery about 3 months ago. Why is this relevant today? Bad customer service all the way around. You don’t see me throwing in his face how they forgot my bacon, & how their shrimp parm has a close resemblance to back alley cardboard.

Dear Albert B (Owner) i will personally address this directly to you first off the tired to give your business the time of day 3 times, the first time the order was wrong and the guy on the register had an attitude with me because its a problem im ordering pizza from a pizza shop second time the fries was soggy so was the burger bun i ask no mayo they must of heard extra mayo and how do you manage to give a cheeseburger with no cheese and to top it off the same guy on the register giving attitude third time my wife got penne a la vodka the penne was bland and the chicken was undercooked i order Boneless hot wings i got regular wings no hot sauce or blue chesse soggy fries and a slice of cardboard pizza i havent been there since then, i do not recommend your food to anyone and always send them to planet wings instead

My boyfriend and I placed an order through Grubhub which was delivered on time. That’s about the only positive thing about this place. They delivered the wrong order, and the food was sub par. We decided to let the fact that the order was wrong slide, then my boyfriend’s phone started ringing. It was an unknown number at 1:30am, so he didn’t answer it. After 8 phone calls he finally picked up, and it was A No 1 calling to ask for the wrong part of the order back. Seriously? You gave us the wrong order? And then you want it back to give to someone else? Not only would I never order from there again because I might get food that was in someone else’s home for half an hour, but whoever called threatened us and said they would never deliver here again and they «know where we live now.» It’s not our fault you messed our order up. The call shook us up, and the threat was unnecessary. No thanks, keep your crappy pizza for yourself.

Slow service, but the sausage lasagna is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Get this if you can. The chicken parm pizza is amazing as well. These two dishes get 4 stars even though I hate the long waits and terrible service.

The philly cheese steak slice is the truth. I enjoy their specialty slices and specialty pies not a fan of the regular slices. Its open very late and the staff is always nice. Its a simple spot if you want some late night pizza and I think they’re reasonable in price compared to the other pizzerias in the area.

scientific method review:
my hypothesis: IF i eat pizza before knocking out after a night of drinking THEN i will not have a hangover in the morning, BECAUSE… just because. but it always works.
i tested my hypothesis many a time, and analyzed the data. it actually works! bwahha. and this is the only pizzeria open past 4am around my side of the projects. that’s worth 2 extra stars ;)

I give this place 2 stars because they are fast and convenient. Other than that the food is pretty terrible. Being that I’ve worked there on and off for about two years, I can tell you first hand most of the stuff you do not want to eat. 90 percent of their food comes pre-​cooked and pre-​packaged. You’ll see what I mean if you order a chicken parm. And yet, they do a ridiculous amount of business because they have extremely fast delivery and they are open later than pretty much any other restaurant in New Rochelle. Also, while the North Ave bars where opened, they gained a lot of popularity from drunken college kids going there after last call. Go there if you have to, but I have at least 5 other pizzerias in new rochelle I would go before hitting A NO 1.
