Gemelli Pizzeria

Everything I get here doesn’t disappoint. I love the garlic knots with the side of marinara sauce. Also try the fries with Parmesan and truffle oil.

This place values their customers. Had an issue with an order and they bent over backwards to make it right. The food is always excellent too.

Chicken Martini is yummy… But a little too lemony… It’s not supposed to be Francese.
However… NOT ONE SMIDGEN OF PORK FAT IN THE PENNE VODKA.

For the most part, the food is delicious! Especially the polenta — it’s out of this world. My only complaint is the zeppoli; they’re very salty & chewy and seem to be made of pizza dough instead of zeppoli dough… not what zeppoli are supposed to taste like.

Good food from pizza to salads to chicken fingers. Had food catered several times and they do a nice job! The girls that answer phone, day and evening, are both really nice. Prices are reasonable and really no complaints… besides chicken fingers tray not vented with holes so they weren’t as crispy as I like. But no biggie! Really a great choice otherwise. One of my faves is the chicken cutlet ceasar salad. Not a big fan of the pinwheels but my husband loves them.

Since we found out about Gemelli’s on GrubHub, it’s really become one of our ‘go to’ places. Ordering from the app is fast and easy and the selection is vast. You could probably order from here daily for a month and never have the same thing twice. Pizza is good, calzones are solid and the pasta dishes are surprisingly good for delivery. With a pizza place on every other block in NewRo, Gemelli’s is in the top 5 IMHO.

Received a coupon in the mail and decided to use it. Soooooo thankful I did! We have 3 picky kid eaters and this place saved the day. They brought us, piping HOT to our door, 2 pies, chicken wings and garlic knots. There was NOTHING left! I was so impressed that I called back to the restaurant and applauded their efforts! They dropped the ball on absolutely NOTHING, from the lady on the phone, to the delivery man, to the scrumptious food, a TOTAL HOME RUN! Completely baffled by the lady with her VEGETARIAN STEAK sandwich (say what??, that makes absolutely no sense, ignore that reviewer) was talking about! Listen, if you have a bunch of hungry kids at home, CALL NOW, you will not be disappointed! Thanks again Gemelli!

I’m one of those awful people who only comes on Unilocal when I’m pissed enough to complain. I’m going to let my photos speak for themselves if I figure out how to upload my photos through my tears.
I ordered the churrasco steak sandwich (sounds promising, right?) sans broccoli rabe, and what I received was an overwhelmingly dissatisfying, virtually vegetarian hero. There were about 4 pieces of steak on a full-​sized wedge. Who did this to me? What did I do to deserve this injustice?

A great choice for food whether your looking for a quick fix or a nice sized meal.
Nice variety on the menu with something for everyone and never dissapointed.
The Grandma pie is just friggin’ awesome.

In a sea of shitty college pizza locations, this place is a gleam of hope for those in the area that want good pizza. The location is clean and has plenty of seating for a quick bite or even a meal. The slices are a good size and they always have some speciality pies too. It’s never too greasy. They even have beer on tap and that awesome make your own drink Coke system. I like it’s near the park so you can easily eat lunch there when the weather is nice.
All in all. In the last year I’ve eaten at almost every pizza place in this area and I like this one the best. Ziti pie, meatball roll and the buffalo chicken slice are favs. They even do $ 1 slices an hour before they close.

Wow. Honestly I never expect much when I order pizza from a place near Iona… I have never been so blown away from a meal I had delivered to me in my whole life.
I had the broccoli rabe pizza, Rigatoni Porcini (with steak) and an eggplant calzone. Everything about every bite I took was romance in my mouth. Will definitely order again.
The best part is that I placed my whole order online and it actually came FAST.

I have visited this place quite a few times since my last review and it has changed!
Gemelli’s is now where you take your parents when they visit on the weekend or where you want to go to have a bit of their rustic Italian dining atmosphere.
The staff is a bit unpredictable especially the girls behind the pizza window, once my pizza was burned since she was busy texting and she had to redo it, but the guys that are waiters during the dinner shift are wonderful, attentive and professional. No problem leaving them a tip, which is not added to the meal plan unless you request it during check out. The Pizza is great, I go with the plain and its consistent each time with good flavor.
Pastas is always great, my go to has been the Rigatoni Porcini that is just delightful and not boring even though I order it every time I go. My dining partner last time ordered veal which was cooked great, good flavor and nice sauce to accompany it. The salad that comes with the entrée, that isn’t boring iceberg lettuce is always crisp, fresh and filling and would be great as a full size dish. And if I could order their bread that they give out for lunch and dinner as a meal I would! Always warm and a perfect accompaniment to the seasoned olive oil at each table.
