The Beechmont Tavern

This was always my favorite for wings (buffalo and teriyaki) but it seems to have gone downhill. A total college scene in the evenings, but that is nothing new. Flavor and crispiness of the wings have slowly disappeared, and old celery stumps now accompany them. It seems they lost their quality standards. When you are a dive bar, and become known for a signature item, that item should always be consistent. I hope they work on this, because I miss the famous wings of the past!

Very sloppy bar. Does not understand the idea of capacity, and have a hard time reaching its customers. You wait 20 minutes to get a watered down drink, and they don’t even have good liquor.

Such a great tavern with a piece of Iona’s history! The staff is amazing, especially the waitress Victoria The wings are bomb and the drinks are fantastic. Always having specials

Beechmont Tavern is an excellent bar and restaurant. I came in and had the «levee» wrap which was absolutely delicious. Although the restaurant was frequented by college students I didn’t get the feeling I was in a non family environment. I suggest this place for everyone looking to have a nice drink and good food!

So overrated. Totally mediocre burgers. I really don’t understand the fuss. We were more than disappointed.

First, as for their «famous» wings, they are super weak (posted picture). Absolutely nothing special. Ordered online for pickup and they forgot my salad. On the bright side, the penne vodka pasta is tasty. Wouldn’t go back unless I was looking for a cheap beer bar to hang out with some bros

I actually spoke to the staff and they apologized and refunded me the order. They were very nice about it.

I order way too much from here. I guess that’s a good sign. It’s bar food but it’s still pretty good. My favorite dishes are: chili & chips, the chicken caesar wrap and a classic burger. I love that the burgers are served on an English muffin.

Went to this place to treat my big bro for his bday. Just happened to Unilocal Buffalo wings and this place was highly recommended. We were amazed by how delicious these bad boys were. Definitely one of the best places I ever been to wings probally ranked #2 on my list. Everything else we had on the menu was also great but the wings were so good we ordered a second round. The prices were great very cheap spot for great food and beer.

So me and some fam went to this spot randomly visiting new rochell prices all where great and the wings it’s self where so good made my top 5 wings of all time nice sweet but with a kick everything we order very very taste and was amazing for the price

Was looking for a nice neighborhood bar around the area and was told that Beechmont had great wings, burgers and a variety of beer selections. I went with a group of my girlfriends and we had an amazing time. From the food to the atmosphere it was great! Def going back! !

This review is for delivery only, it was quick and easy but the food was just ok. Kinda pricey for what you get, I’d stay away from the boneless wings at least for delivery. Probably won’t order from them again.

Not only is the food delicious but it’s a place for families, college students and people of all ages. Good prices, good service, good burgers and wings. New menu ideas are awesome. Sangria is also delicious, lots of good taps and lots of good tvs for games. I highly recommend

When it for the wings after I’ve heard nothing for good things about them for years. They were good but very much overrated. Let me be clear, the wings are good, I enjoyed them, but they aren’t the best in Westchester, not even the best in New Rochelle.”(smokehouse takes that honor). Besides that, the service was decent, again nothing amazing but I’ve had worst… I guess the worst part though was how loud it is in there. This wasn’t a Saturday night mind you, it was a Wednesday afternoon but for whatever reason it was ridiculous loud in there. Give it a try but don’t let the hype get to you.

Amazing chicken wings! Yet to try other food but just the wings alone are fantastic. I’m so happy they deliver. I did visit the bar a few years back and it was very nice. Excited to try some new choices from menu.

Super bowl Sunday found us at home, anticipating snow and I didn’t have the patience for the grocery store. Instead we opted to order in. At around 5pm we placed an order for delivery via grubhub which said the food would arrive 6:15pm the latest. After a little while we received a text or email saying the food wouldn’t be arriving until about 6:50pm.
Ok its the super bowl, I get it completely! We didn’t/couldn’t get mad. They were super super busy! At around 7:30 pm we called, at this point pretty hungry. Apparently our order got lost in the matrix while some components were made, others were not. The girl who answered the phone put us right on with the manager who promised to make the order fresh so we’re not eating any cold and soggy and even comped the meal. I asked how much longer that would be, he told me another 40 minutes. Great, I can hold off eating my own arm for another 40 minutes!
About 10 minutes after speaking with the manager, my door bell rings! Wow, that was super fast! We tore open the bags and styrofoam only to find cold, soggy food. It was comped, but it was cold and soggy — just what the manager wanted to avoid. Hmm. Not to mention little things (like salad dressing) were completely skipped over in attempt to probably just get the food out.
About another 30 minutes after that the fresh order shows up. My husband refused it as we had already eaten the first. I would have taken it, but c’est la vie. They did try to make it right, but this was about 8pm and we ordered at 5pm.
Since the food was cold and soggy I feel it’s unfair to review it. I WOULD go back and dine in to try their food again. It seems decent.

Definitely sub par. This is based off a delivery, it might be better in person, but my food was over a half hour later than the estimated delivery time and arrived cold and soggy and pretty gross :/

Rob hosted a Chamber of Commerce meeting last week and the food was plentiful and delish! The Beechmont is fun, comfortable and upbeat without being too noisy in the restaurant area where we were networking. I think I introduced myself to the food table more than the business owners! Thank you Rob for your hospitality.

Best wings in New Rochelle! Get the bones, though… the boneless wings taste completely different and aren’t as good. I’m a big fan of their buffalo chicken wrap too.
If you get takeout, don’t order french fries. They’re ALWAYS soggy, I guess from the styrofoam boxes they put them in. The wings should fill you up, anyway ;)

Loud, fun mostly college crowd. Was here a few weeks ago working up in New Rochelle and decided to try after reading some reviews on their chicken wings.
It has a homey, local crowd vibe. Most customers were students at Iona College, locals or visiting parents. Some female athletes came in after a game or practice, in uniform, all battered and psyched. It was fun to watch.
Now to the food. The wings were not as good as expected but maybe I am spoiled, I have tried wings all over and can really get down into them. Bones beware! The sandwich was just ok but not terrible. Service consisted of college kids that are more interested in talking to their friends at the bar.
Does it stand to reason that I won’t be back? If you want my money, then treat me like you want it !!!

Diese Collegebar bietet so einiges, man kann sich mit Freunden auf ein paar Drinks treffen, in lockerer Atmosphäre etwas essen oder einfach kommen um sich ein Football/​EishockeySpiel anzuschauen.
Am Wochenende wird die Bar von Securitys kontrolliert und man kommt selten rein, wenn man unter 21 ist, unter der Woche sieht das schon ganz anders aus. Sobald man es in die Bar geschafft hat als Minderjähriger, dann wird man auch nicht mehr rausgeschmissen.
Zunächst kommt man in den Barbereich, eine große Bar beherbergt fast alles man (in alkoholischer Sicht ;)) sich wünschen kann, nur wenn man deutsches Bier gewöhnt ist und liebt, dann sollte man die Finger von den meisten Bieren lassen und sich einen Long Drink genehmigen.
Weiter hinten befindet sich der Restaurantbereich, erinnert an ein typisch amerikanisches Diner.
Wir haben es meistens so gemacht, dass wir zu Abend gegessen haben im hinteren Bereich, wobei man aus einer umfassenden Auswahl bestellen kann. Von Burgern, bis hin zu Steaks und kalorienarmer Kost findet man fast alles und alles zu wirklich erschwinglichen Preisen. So haben wir meist pro Person nie mehr als $ 12 bezahlt, wir haben Vorspeise, Burger, Beilagen und Getränke bestellt, wobei man erwähnen muss, dass die üppigen Beilagen (Zwiebelringe, extra Salat, Bratkartoffeln, Pommes etc.) meist aufs Haus gehen, was wirklich jedes Mal sehr nett ist von der Bedienung. Das Essen ist superlecker, besonders zu empfehlen sind die Wings in Teriyaki Soße unbedingt probieren!
Der Service ist nicht zu beklagen, durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Nach dem Essen kann man sich noch einen Kaffe genehmigen (auch meist aufs Haus) oder gleich die paar Meter zur angrenzenden Bar gehen.
Man lässt sich seine Getränke anschreiben und bezahlt sie am Ende des Abends, wobei es meist so spät wird, das die Kellner dann schon ein Auge zudrücken und einem auch mal nur die Hälfte berechnen.
Man bekommt generell das Gefühl, dass der Barinhaber schon genug Geld in seinem Leben verdient hat und die Bar nur noch aus Spaß an der Freude unterhält, denn die Preise und Angebote können ihm unmöglich etwas einbringen. So gibt es das Angebot, einmalig $ 5 zu zahlen, um dann für den Rest des Abends jedes Bier für 50ct zu kaufen, wobei der Bedienung egal ist, wie viele Biere man bestellt, d.h. man kann mit 5 Personen kommen, einer bezahlt die $ 5 und kauft dann durchweg die Biere für alle.
Die Atmosphäre in der Bar habe ich immer als sehr lebhaft und gut gelaunt empfunden, man kommt sehr schnell mit den College Studenten ins Gespräch und bisher haben wir jedes Mal eine wirklich gute Zeit gehabt, wenn wir da waren.
