Papa’s Pizzeria

Prices are ridiculously high. We wanted a large Veggie Pizza and the total came up to $ 27. I don’t understand how a Large Pizza with veggies can be so expensive.
The Pizza was good but will probably avoid the place because of the price.

Came for dinner after spending the day on the island. Had large cheese pizza, chicken fingers, and garlic knots. We sat out on the patio, they had some island music playing. Great food, great service, great beer selection. Definitely a redo next time we are on Block Island.

Excellent NY style pizza! The garlic knots were a little too garlicky even when I asked not to make them too garlicky. Friendly service and decent prices for NY style pizza!

The clam pizza was delicious. The prices are fair for what you get, and what you get is some quality, fair sized pizza.
I was in a group of people when we got there, and there were a few people behind the counter, they were watching a golf tournament, and the guy taking our order was the biggest ‘troll’ I’ve ever met. He was joking with us– having us laugh plenty as we couldn’t really figure out what we wanted. Pretty much the funniest restaurant staff member I’ve ever had.
If you want a great pizza at the end of a vacationing day, come here!

Meatball sandwiches and the Italian grinders were excellent and filling. If your on the mood for a quick bite this is the place. I hear the pizza is still pretty good too.

A great homemade feel pizza that really delicious, I’ve had pizzas from many places across a few states, and this is the second best I’ve had. And I’ve been here a been here a couple of times and no change in quality.

Horrible pizza. The crust was like cardboard, with absolutely even pinpricks on the bottom, indicating that it was probably pre-​made and frozen. The sauce had no flavor. Worst of all, it was expensive: $ 20 for one 12″ pie with two toppings and two cans of soda.
Go to Aldo’s instead.

NY style pie on the Block, who’d a thunk it? Is it true, NY pizza like you get in Brooklyn? No, but it’s damn good anywhere else, and I was pleasantly surprised when we ordered three large pizzas for dinner one night. Yeah, it’s not cheap, but you’re on vacation so have another beer or four and relax!
The crust is almost thin enough, and is nicely crunchy with a good flavor. The sauce was to my liking, not overly sweet or too spicy, just right. Hey, it’s really good pizza so enjoy. I did!

I ordered the Chicken Balsamico Pizza (Roasted Red Peppers, chicken mozzarella, and drizzled with Balsamic Glaze) and a BBQ pizza (Chicken, BBQ, Bacon, Onion, and Mozzarella cheese) and an order of Oven Roasted Chicken Wings (tossed in Buffalo sauce) and they were so good! It reminded me of home, New York, where it was a small, takeout appearing place (though there are outdoor benches with umbrellas to take away the direct sun). Beer, soda and water available. A good place to get a quick, flavorful bite.
Very interesting that a lot of businesses on Block Island are owned/​operated by Eastern Europeans.
Once again the initial scent of food will have you looking like the cartoon characters when they smell something good and mesmerizing. You will be lured to the taste!

The worst pizza I have ever had that I did not buy in the frozen food section. Flavorless, mushy, [insert other bad food adjective here]. After my wife and I struck out with our pies our friends tried the calzones and the wings… they figured something on the menu must be good. Wrong!
Papa’s looks cute from the outside but after eating here I would say avoid at all costs.
